"I won't force you. Think about it carefully."
After saying this, the witch turned around and went back to the ward.
Zhang Meng touched the little white spot on her neck and completely understood why she always felt that her neck was getting colder and colder these days. It turned out that this was the problem.
"Wait." Zhang Meng stopped her, "I can agree to your condition, but do you really have a way to save my Xiaobai?"
The witch, who had her back to them, had a triumphant smile on her face. When she turned around, the smile disappeared. "Of course, I never tell lies."
Zhang Meng hesitated, then turned to look at Gu Mingtai, who had been silent, and said, "Gu Mingtai."
"Just do it if you want to. I'll be right here with you." Gu Mingtai held her hand with a trusting smile.
Zhang Meng smiled, nodded vigorously at him, and immediately made a decision, "Okay, I agree to your condition. When can we start?"
The witch smiled slightly, as if relieved, and sighed, "It can be done now."
After saying that, he took two steps and found that the young couple behind him had not caught up. He stopped again, turned his head and looked at them and said, "Come with me. Only my family has what can cure it."
Zhang Meng glanced at Gu Mingtai. "Go with her."
Gu Mingtai took her hand and followed.
The young couple followed the witch out of the hospital and turned left into a small alley. After walking a few steps, the witch in front suddenly stopped and opened a rusty lock. "Please come in, this is my home."
The witch brought them to the door of a very small room, which was filled with the smell of dead rats.
As soon as he entered, Zhang Meng was shocked by the situation inside. There was not even a window inside, and it was dark all around.
The witch who came in took out a half-broken candle that she had picked up from somewhere and lit it.
At this time, there was a little light in the room.
"You guys stand here for a while, I'm going to get something first." After saying this, the witch turned around and went behind the bed, doing something.
Zhang Meng and Gu Mingtai, who were standing beside the bed, only heard a hissing sound coming from behind.
After a while, the witch came out from behind the bed.
I don’t know if it’s because of the candlelight, but when Zhang Meng looked at the witch, she always felt that her expression seemed much worse than before.
"Take the white dragon off your neck." The witch covered her chest and spoke with a strange expression.
Zhang Meng glanced at her and asked with concern, "Grandma Wu, are you okay? You look much worse than before. Are you feeling unwell? Otherwise, we can wait a while before rescuing Xiaobai."
The witch clutched her chest tightly, her face turning even paler. "I'm fine. Let's get started."
Zhang Meng was about to say something when Gu Mingtai suddenly pulled her arm from behind her. His voice quickly reached her ears, "Xiao Meng, listen to your mother-in-law and give Xiaobai to her."
Zhang Meng nodded and took off the Xiaobai that was wrapped around her neck. The witch took it and placed Xiaobai in a bowl of black and red liquid in her hand.
After doing all this, she began to chant some incantation of some unknown spell.
With every sentence she recited, bubbles appeared in the liquid in the bowl, as if the liquid was boiling, and then white smoke began to emerge.
Zhang Meng looked at the Xiaobai in the bowl worriedly, "The water in here is boiling, isn't it? Then my Xiaobai must be cooked."
"Don't worry, we have to trust the witch." Gu Mingtai stretched out his hand and held her uneasy hand tightly.
Zhang Meng looked up at him and nodded, continuing to stare at the Xiaobai in the bowl in the witch's hand without blinking.
After reciting for an unknown amount of time, the witch suddenly yelled, "Give birth."
The bowl in her hand broke into four pieces and fell to the ground with a bang as she shouted.
The little white fish that was originally in the bowl also fell to the ground.
"Puff." Zhang Meng was about to bend down to pick up Xiaobai when the witch standing in front of her suddenly spat a mouthful of blood on Xiaobai.
Zhang Meng looked up, startled, and quickly stepped forward to support the falling witch. "Witch, what's wrong with you?"
The witch finally smiled with relief, but with this smile, another mouthful of blood came out of her mouth, and soon a large area of Zhang Meng's clothes was stained.
"Gu Mingtai, please help send Grandma Wu to the hospital." Zhang Meng supported Grandma Wu and looked anxiously at Gu Mingtai who was looking at them.
Gu Mingtai pursed his lips and glanced at Granny Wu's face with an ambiguous look. He was about to go forward to help her when Granny Wu stopped him. "Don't send me away. I won't live long."
Zhang Meng immediately lowered her head and looked at her when she heard her words. "Grandma Witch, what are you talking about? You won't live long. Don't scare me."
The witch patted the back of her hand and smiled at the motionless Little White on the ground. "Little girl, don't worry about your white dragon. It's fine now. The reason it's still motionless is because it's evolving. This white dragon is a treasure in the world. It's your blessing to own it. Take good care of it and don't let anyone with ulterior motives snatch it away."
Zhang Meng nodded vigorously. "Okay, okay, I promise you, Grandma Witch, but can we go to the hospital now? We can talk about anything after we finish the examination."
