Chapter 80 Meeting on the Battlefield, Mu Chen Wants to Kill Her

When Lin Chuchu sat down in the waiting room, her hand holding the water cup was trembling.

Lin Chuchu breathed a sigh of relief as her legs calmed down. "How is his injury?"

Lin Chuchu glanced casually at the person sitting not far away.

Li Wen shook his head. "It's alright, it's not a big problem. He's already received emergency treatment. Once he gets to that country, our people will help him with his treatment."

Soon, an announcement came over the loudspeaker in the waiting room: the plane would be taking off in half an hour, and passengers were asked to board as soon as possible.

Lin Chuchu held her passport. They had made a time difference; their original flight was for tomorrow morning, but the new flight was for tonight.

The group that wanted to arrest them was still negotiating with those who remained there.

She saw another death today; it was a Chinese person, a Chinese person who had infiltrated the United States.

They gave up the honor of their motherland and their own names to stand up when China needed them most.

She didn't know if those people could go back, maybe they would never be able to, they would be nowhere to be found, and she would never see her parents, wife and children again. She endured humiliation and hardship.

After checking tickets and luggage, Li Wen led Lin Chuchu toward the registration desk.

The airport was still brightly lit despite the darkness. Lin Chuchu looked out the window and thought that if she could, she would never want to come to the United States again.

This place is bustling, but it's also more dangerous.

After the plane took off and flew for two hours, Lin Chuchu's heart finally calmed down, and she remained silent for a long time.

It was pitch black outside, and I had no idea whether I was above or below the clouds.

Because it was nighttime, even though there were many people on the plane, it was quiet and peaceful.

"Why don't you take a nap? I'll wake you up when the plane lands."

Li Wen's voice was low and slightly hoarse.

Lin Chuchu really wanted to ask, "Aren't you afraid?"

But looking into his determined eyes, Lin Chuchu felt there was no need to ask; he would definitely say he was afraid, but he had a responsibility, a responsibility to move forward.

Lin Chuchu looked at Li Wen with a sense of mutual respect and admiration.

They, too, are bearing heavy burdens for the strength of their motherland.

"It's okay, I'm not sleepy, I'm full of energy right now."

Lin Chuchu felt that this person was very similar to Mu Chen, putting the motherland above all else.

She suddenly felt homesick.

A few hours later, the plane landed, and Lin Chuchu arrived in an unfamiliar country.

She didn't want to know too much; all she wanted to do now was get a good night's sleep.

The group arrived at the hotel. The injured person was taken away. Lin Chuchu returned to her room, washed up first, and then sat on the toilet to start unpacking the plastic bags.

The items cannot be taken out like this; it's difficult to explain. They must be disassembled.

There are ten sheets of paper, nine of which have writing on them that I can't understand; it seems like they need to be deciphered.

The tenth name has a total of twenty-five names.

Lin Chuchu couldn't understand it. After taking a picture with her spatial ability, she put the paper back into her spatial ability.

Just then, there was a knock on the door. Lin Chuchu changed her clothes and came to the door. Just as she was about to open it, the door was knocked on again.

She put her hand on the doorknob and suddenly realized something was wrong.

"Four fast and one slow is me. If you knock on the door in the wrong way, it's definitely not me. Don't open the door."

Lin Chuchu broke out in a cold sweat and took two steps back. Who were the people outside? If it wasn't the captain, then who were they?

Could it be that those people from the United States have come looking for us?

Lin Chuchu picked up the kettle on the table, her eyes fixed on the door of the room.

The person outside the door seemed impatient and started banging loudly on the door.

Where's the captain? Where's the captain who lives across the street?

Has it been subdued?

Lin Chuchu asked in a hoarse voice, "Who is it?"

"Comrade Lin, we're here to meet you. Please open the door."

"Li Wen is right across the street, go find him."

The other person paused for a second, then said, "He went out and told me to come up and find you. Let's meet in another room together."

Lin Chuchu felt increasingly uneasy and dared not open the door.

But why would the captain go out?

"Li Wen went to the hospital to visit his comrades. He asked me to bring the things over first. Please open the door and hand them to me."

Lin Chuchu's heart pounded. No, it couldn't be. The captain wouldn't have abandoned her.

Something must have happened to the captain.

What kind of thing is it that she wasn't even given a chance to be informed? What about the others?

Unless it's someone you know well, the other party might suddenly betray you during the rendezvous and kill the captain and the rest of the team.

Lin Chuchu swallowed hard. The enemies outside were watching her intently, and she had no weapons. What could she do? She had to find a way to escape.

Just then, a faint gunshot rang out from outside, seemingly with a silencer.

"Xiaoyu, this is Li Wen. I've killed the enemy. Come out first, we need to leave quickly."

The voice was indeed Li Wen's. Lin Chuchu's mind was in chaos. Li Wen was calling her by her fake name, but the other party knew that her real name was Lin Chuchu.

Could there really be a traitor among the people who came to meet them?

Lin Chuchu put down the kettle and went to the door. There was a silent knocking sound at the door, four fast knocks followed by one slow one.

Lin Chuchu quickly opened the door and saw Li Wen leaning against the wall, smelling of blood.

"Are you injured?"

Lin Chuchu asked anxiously.

Li Wen nodded. "Let's go, it's not safe here, we need to find somewhere else."

Lin Chuchu didn't dare to say anything more and simply grabbed her suitcase and went out.

The person lying on the ground was dragged away, and there were dark red bloodstains on the ground.

Soon, Lin Chuchu reunited with the special operations team.

Lin Chuchu was exhausted, having not even checked into her room yet, and now she had to leave. Despite her fatigue, she still dragged her weary body along with the others.
