With a loud crash, the car veered off course, and Lin Chuchu was thrown forward, but Li Wen caught her in his arms.
The driver got out of the car cursing, and the special forces members acting as bodyguards tightly protected the two of them.
Lin Chuchu sobered up considerably, rubbed her forehead which had ached from the impact, and asked in a low voice, "What happened?"
Li Wen shook his head. "It's alright, just be careful later."
This wasn't an accident; it was aimed at them.
The special operations team had more than just the people in the car; another car was parked not far away.
Lin Chuchu's heart tightened; she knew that going on a mission with the special forces team wouldn't be so simple.
After the driver got out of the car, he went straight to the vehicle that had crashed into him from behind. Before he could say a few words, he was shot in the chest and died.
Upon seeing this, the special forces team immediately jumped to the driver's seat, started the vehicle, and drove forward.
Lin Chuchu bit her lip, knowing full well that her operation had been discovered.
Now, their only goal is to get on the plane alive.
Once they were on the plane, they dared not do anything else.
Lin Chuchu kept her head down, not daring to look up. The men in the car somehow produced guns and started firing at the back.
Gunshots rang in her ears, and Lin Chuchu could only try to minimize her presence so as not to cause them any trouble.
The car was being driven very fast, and Lin Chuchu felt her body leave her seat several times.
Suddenly, the car made a sharp turn and came to a sudden stop.
"get off!"
Lin Chuchu was pushed off the car, her whole body and head protected, and she ran in one direction while bent over.
Lin Chuchu had no time to think and could only run along with everyone else.
Lin Chuchu realized that someone had been shot, but no one cried out in pain, and no one backed down in fear. Everyone protected Lin Chuchu.
After an unknown amount of time, they arrived at another car. The door opened from the inside, and without any further words, Li Wen pushed Lin Chuchu inside.
Lin Chuchu's chest heaved violently from running beyond her limits.
“The other side has noticed, but they probably don’t know the item is on us. They’d rather kill the innocent than let the guilty go free. Let’s go straight to the airport; our passports have already been sent there.”
"We'll fly to other countries first, and then fly back home."
Lin Chuchu's eyes widened; she had no idea her plane ticket had been changed while she was working in the coal mine.
