Chapter 51 Beggar

The darkness on her face seemed to intensify.

Then there's Guan Yumei, who was pushed out of her house that morning.

She cried at the door for a while, and seeing that no one came out to ask what was wrong, she habitually walked towards the outside of the city.

When I reached the outskirts of the city, I suddenly realized—where was I going?

Her maternal family had already separated, and her parents lived with her second younger brother, who had never been close to her.

Are we going to my third brother's house?

Su Dazhi has already fallen out with his third brother, so why didn't she bring Su Ruyi to her third brother's house to face Zhou Zhilan's disdain?

Guan Yumei stopped in her tracks.

She suddenly felt that in this vast world, there seemed to be no place for her.

He ran until he was exhausted, then slipped and fell into a pigsty full of mud.

He then woke up.

Next, he actually smelled the pigsty.

No, it's not just smelly, it's fishy and pungent.

When I went outside, I saw that Guan Yumei had returned, carrying a bunch of pig offal tied with straw rope in one hand and banging on the door of the storage room with the other.

"What are you doing?" Su Dazhi asked.

"I..." Guan Yumei said awkwardly with a forced smile, "I bought some offal, like large intestines, pig liver, kidneys and stuff. I'm going to have the jinx clean it up for you to make you feel better!"

"Open your dog eyes and look carefully—the door is bolted from the outside!" Su Dazhi pointed to the bolt.

"Really? That jinx has really gone off on his way, why hasn't he come back yet?"

Guan Yumei suspiciously fiddled with the door latch. "Honey, that jinx is getting old now. Could she... could she be thinking about some other man?"
