Chapter 6: Booming Business

Seeing Ruoruo so cute, Lin Wan smiled, picked up her daughter, got up and changed her clothes.

When I opened the door, the fragrance became stronger. Lin Wan swallowed unconsciously, her face full of disbelief.

Li Mu looked at the mother and daughter with curved eyes and said with a smile: "Go wash up quickly and come to eat. The noodles will clump together soon. Don't go to work today. Stay at home and take care of our daughter. I will go out to earn money."

Lin Wan, who was about to take her daughter to wash up, heard what Li Mu said and immediately turned cold and scolded: "If I don't go to work, what will the family eat? You can see that there are only noodles at home, how do you want to make money?"

Li Mu was not annoyed at all when he heard Lin Wan say that. He just smiled and urged: "Go wash up first, we'll talk later."

Lin Wan glared at Li Mu fiercely, then silently took her daughter out to wash up.

"I may be angry, but it's only directed at Li Mu. I'd better finish it quickly, come back to eat noodles, and then find trouble with Li Mu after eating. Okay, that's it." Lin Wan thought to herself.

After a while, Lin Wan brought Ruoruo, who had already packed up, back to the room.

Looking at his daughter's chubby face, Li Mu was about to reach out and rub it, but Lin Wan slapped him on the back of his hand and shouted angrily, "What are you doing?"

Li Mu awkwardly withdrew his hand and rubbed it, saying, "It's nothing, it's nothing, eat the noodles quickly."

...

...

Lin Wan looked at the three bowls of simple scallion oil noodles in front of her. The fried golden scallions were topped with soup, which looked particularly tempting.

After choosing a small bowl and mixing the noodles for Ruoruo, Ruoruo sat aside with a spoon and ate noodles silently.

When Lin Wan was about to mix the noodles for herself, Li Mu had already mixed the noodles and placed them in front of Lin Wan. Lin Wan lowered her head and took a bite silently, with amazement in her eyes.

Lin Wan didn't expect that Li Mu, who usually does nothing, could cook such delicious food.

Lin Mu ate noodles in big mouthfuls and said to Lin Wan in a negotiating tone: "Wan Wan, take a day off today and take care of Ruoruo at home. I'll go out and make some money."

"Make money? Where do you make money?" After hearing what Li Mu said, Lin Wan felt that the noodles in the bowl were not so fragrant anymore, like chewing wax.

"Don't worry about it. Just take a day off today and stay at home." After saying this, Li Mu looked at the clock on the wall. It was already six o'clock. He couldn't wait to eat two mouthfuls of noodles and went out.

Lin Wan looked at Li Mu like this, silently shook her head, and thought to herself: "Making money? It's just playing cards, it sounds so nice. Oh!"

He glanced at Ruoruo, who was eating away at the side with food all over her face, with a face full of kindness.

Li Mu happily carried the eels from the kitchen and walked towards the market where the largest crowds were.

Li Mu chose a location that was relatively close to a commercial housing complex and sat down nearby.

There were a lot of people bustling around nearby, and many of them glanced in Li Mu's direction. Li Mu was extremely handsome, and he looked particularly out of place sitting in the crowd.

One older sister couldn't help it and walked up to ask Li Mu.

"Young man, why don't you go to work when you are still so young instead of setting up a street stall?"

Li Mu smiled at his elder sister, curved his lips and said, "Sister, I just want to earn more money to support my wife and children."

"What are you selling? They are all black." The elder sister originally just wanted to ask a question, but when she saw Li Mu's smile, she couldn't take her eyes away. She pointed at the eels in Li Mu's bucket and asked casually.

"This is a wild eel that I caught last night. It's a great tonic that can regulate blood sugar, replenish qi, and improve brain function." Li Mu grabbed one from the bucket and showed it to the elder sister.

Seeing the plump eels in front of her, the elder sister nodded with satisfaction and asked casually, "Is it real? How much is one pound? I want to buy some to try."

"Seven dollars a pound."

"What? Why is it so expensive?" The person next to him asked in shock.

Just as this lady was asking the price, many people gathered towards Li Mu. Most of them were women. Some came to watch the fun, and some came to see Li Mu.

"This is wild and has higher nutritional value than ordinary ones. Besides, it is a great tonic for men. I eat it often." Li Mu looked at the crowd around him and said with a raised eyebrow.

They were all women, and when they heard Li Mu say this, they not only did not feel shy, but they even started discussing it on the spot without any shame, which made them feel a little embarrassed because of Li Mu.

"Young man, it seems that you eat a lot on a daily basis. I'm afraid your wife is very happy."

"Yes, yes, the cow he eats is tall and strong, and you can tell at a glance that he is very thin, not like the one in my family."

Hearing everyone say this, Li Mu immediately added a sentence. "If you buy a lot, the price can be a little lower, 6.5 yuan per pound, with a minimum of 2 pounds."

The eldest sister who asked first immediately said, "Give me five pounds."

"Okay!" Li Mu took out the eel quickly, put it into the prepared pocket and weighed it with a weight.

"Five pounds and six ounces, that's thirty-six dollars and forty cents. Just give thirty-four."

Li Mu put down the scale, picked up the packed eels and handed them to his elder sister and said.

Hearing that Li Mu offered to round off the number, the elder sister did not care and readily took out thirty-four and handed it to Li Mu.

The people around saw that the elder sister bought so much, and they all shouted to Li Mu:

"I want two pounds."

"I want five pounds too."

Li Mu said to everyone, "Don't be anxious, don't be anxious, come one by one."

After a while, the bucket that was originally full of eels now only had a few scattered smaller eels. Because Li Mu took the initiative to round off the amount, everyone paid very readily and the total purchase amount was more than two hundred yuan.

There were also quite a few people who were squeezed at the back and didn’t get a ticket. They all pulled Li Mu to ask when he would come back to sell, and only left with satisfaction after hearing Li Mu's reply that he would come again tomorrow.

Li Mu happily carried the small eels in the bucket and walked to the supply and marketing cooperative.

The clerk at the supply and marketing cooperative saw Li Mu carrying a bucket in one hand and a weight in the other, with a look of disdain on his face, and gradually felt contempt for him.

But when he saw Li Mu approaching, with his clear outline and high nose bridge, he walked up to him with joy and said, "Hello, what do you want?"

"Buy me 2 kilograms of pork belly, and then give me some sorghum candy and White Rabbit milk candy. Finally, give me two cans of milk powder." As Li Mu spoke, he thought of his daughter's cute face, and his words couldn't help but bring a hint of lightness.

Hearing that Li Mu wanted to buy milk powder, the clerk asked, "You look so young and you have a child. Do you want expensive or cheap milk powder?"

However, I felt a glimmer of expectation in my heart, hoping that Li Mu was bringing the gift to someone in his family.

"Yes, my child is three years old, and you should give me the best milk powder." Li Mu replied with a smile on his face.

The clerk looked at the handsome man in front of him with disappointment and nodded.

After getting everything, he handed it to Li Mu and said, "50 yuan in total."

Li Mu took out fifty yuan from his pocket, handed it to the clerk, and went back happily.
