Stone steps led directly to the center of the second floor. Four people stood in the stone hall, surveying their surroundings. The Four Knights' quarters were naturally more luxurious than the quarters of the lower-level vampires, and several times larger than those on the ground floor. From floor to ceiling, they were constructed entirely of granite, with the gaps sealed with cement to minimize the dampness and chill of the underground. Every three or four meters along the wall, an oil lamp illuminated the underground world with its warm yellow light, bringing brightness and warmth to this underground world.
The stone hall had a winding passageway on each side. Jenny explained that each passage led to a different knight's residence: Kurtaz's to the north, Mograine to the south, Mux to the west, and Selyek to the east. Given the situation, the wisest course of action would be for each of the four people to occupy a separate passageway. However, Luo Wenyuan worried that Qingshan would be no match for the vampire knight and wanted her to follow him.
As soon as Qingshan saw Luo Wenyuan's expression, she knew he was treating her like a hothouse flower again. With a thought, she pulled out four black scimitars and channeled her spiritual power to direct the blades, creating four whirlwind-like defensive belts around her body. The black blades whizzed around, their afterimages resembling four black ribbons, enveloping Qingshan and protecting her tightly. The defensive belts advanced as Qingshan walked, capable of shredding anything that approached her.
Qingshan danced for a while, then, seeing Lei Bei and Batur's mouths hanging open, sheathed her scissors and looked at Luo Wenyuan provocatively. His expression clearly said, "What do you think? Am I awesome? Are you relieved now?"
Lei Bei secretly wiped a cold sweat from his forehead, thinking: When Batu and I went to test the little demon girl, I thought we were not using our full strength and were giving her the benefit of the doubt. Now it seems that this girl didn't have a weapon at hand and was giving us the benefit of the doubt! Oh my god, I wouldn't dare to mess with her again!
Luo Wenyuan was amused, glared at her with a feigned ferocity, and agreed. The four of them then split up, each choosing a different passage to enter. Qingshan chose Seriek without hesitation. Seriek had mountain ghost blood, most likely a hybrid of human and mountain ghost. Tuanzi had said that mountain ghosts were the best at making all kinds of poisons, and it seemed Seriek had inherited this talent. The Terminator plan was actually perfect. If it weren't for Qingshan, the Terminator virus would have plunged China into a white panic. Since he could make poison, he must be able to detoxify it. So many people infected with the Terminator virus across China were waiting for the antidote to save their lives. He couldn't get away!
Luo Wenyuan went north to deal with Kurtaz, the leader of the Four Horsemen. Rebe, disdainful of Mograine, felt a dwarf lacked the challenge, so he chose Mux as his opponent and walked into the western passage. Seeing everyone else had left, Batur patted his head and strode towards Mograine's residence.
Batur entered the passage and walked a dozen meters before frowning and sniffing. The passage was filled with the stench of an animal. A rattling sound echoed from afar. Batur crouched, his body in an aggressive stance, staring at the T-junction at the end of the passage. A moment later, a threatening growl echoed, and a large black dog's head emerged from the intersection. It had small ears, a wide nose, blood-red eyes, and a strong, broad jaw. Its eyes gleamed fiercely, its nose wrinkled, its lips bared, revealing a mouthful of fangs. A foul odor dripped from the corners of its lips as it steadily approached Batur. The dog was Mograine's pet, Susan, a Rottweiler.
Susan was a big girl with muscular body and strong and powerful. She smelled the blood coming up from the third floor and ran out of Mograine's room, only to meet someone in the corridor.
Batur saw that the dog's eyes were bloodshot and knew that it was raised on human flesh. He snorted in his heart, raised his fists in front of his chest, one in front and one behind, stretched his left leg, bent his right leg, and took a boxing stance ready to fight.
Seeing Batur preparing to attack, Susan roared angrily and charged at him with her hind legs. Despite her size and muscular build, Susan was no slouch. In the blink of an eye, she was in front of Batur, stood up, and opened her bloody mouth to bite Batur's throat.
That same wolf had crushed Batur's larynx in the same way, and the shadow of his childhood had filled him with rage. Batur's narrow eyes suddenly widened, and he ducked his head to avoid Susan's fanged mouth, then unleashed a left hook to the base of the Rottweiler's ear.
Susan was hit by the power-type mutant and let out a sharp scream. She flew back five or six meters before landing with a "bang".
The Rottweiler is indeed the most courageous and powerful dog breed. After receiving such a heavy punch, it lay on the ground for a few seconds before rolling over to its feet, shaking its head and roaring angrily, ready to attack again.
