Chapter 174

Batur hadn't expected the Rottweiler to be so resilient. Even after taking a punch, it could still stand up and roar. He raised an eyebrow in surprise. He pulled his weapon from his leg pouch—a gun-gray Gurkha scimitar. He swung it in a flower pattern and held it in his hand, the tip of the blade pointed at the Rottweiler.

The Gurkha knife is wide in front and narrow in the back, with a thick back and a thin blade, making it very suitable for hand-to-hand combat. Batur just used it to chop off dozens of vampire heads, and there was still blood on the handle.

Susan saw Batur draw his weapon, a cunning look in his eyes, and slowly backed away, then turned and ran towards the T-shaped intersection where they came from.

Batur, intent on killing, couldn't let the vicious dog get away. He chased Susan into the corridor around the left corner. Batur chased Susan until they reached a circular open area surrounded by a circle of dark holes. Susan stopped running here and turned to face Batur, staring at him with a pair of resentful scarlet eyes.

Susan raised her head and let out a low howl. After a while, the rustling sound of animal claws rubbing against the ground could be heard from the small holes, mixed with a few low dog barks.

Batur thought this was bad. It looked like this was a Rottweiler's lair. Those little caves were probably full of vicious dogs. Sure enough, tiny red lights flickered in the dark cave, flickering on and off. As the pitch of Susan's howl changed, the Rottweilers in the cave emerged one after another, lowering their heads and crouching, poised to pounce and bite, surrounding Batur.

There are about thirty Rottweilers in this group. Although they are smaller than Susan, they are all strong and sturdy, with shiny black fur.

Susan had been beaten badly by Batur just now, and her head was still dizzy. She squatted outside the pack of dogs to rest, staring with her scarlet eyes, whimpering softly, and commanding the other Rottweilers to pounce on Batur.

Batur tensed his body, arms bulging with muscle, and stood in the middle of the open field, like a god in golden armor, emitting a fierce murderous aura. Behind him, a Rottweiler kicked the ground with its hind legs and leaped upward, intending to knock Batur down from behind, while opening its mouth wide to bite the back of his neck.

But Batur, sensing the ominous wind behind him, had already taken precautions. With a sharp turn, he raised his scimitar in his right hand, the blade facing outward, and slashed upwards, slicing the Rottweiler's belly in mid-air. The Rottweiler wailed and fell from the sky, its internal organs and blood spilling all over the ground.

Batur waved his hand, shook off the blood on the knife, opened his mouth to reveal a hideous and cruel smile, and looked at Susan provocatively.

The other Rottweilers, stimulated by the smell of blood, could no longer hold back and rushed forward to bite Batur. Batur had dared to fight against wild wolves even as a child. Now he was mighty and strong, with much greater strength than when he was young. He had also received professional combat training, so he was naturally not afraid of the siege of man-eating dogs.

He punched with his left hand, chopped with his right hand, blocked left and right, moved up and down, and calmly dealt with the Rottweiler's attack.

A smaller Rottweiler with a missing ear entered the fighting circle and pounced on Batur's calf. Batur was concentrating on dealing with the man-eating dogs attacking him from above, and he didn't pay attention to the situation under his feet, so the missing ear Rottweiler bit him on the calf.

Batur is a power-type mutant. His amazing brute force comes from his rock-hard muscles. Ordinary attacks cannot cause any harm to him, so he is often used as a "meat shield" by his teammates in Qilin.

However, the Rottweiler's bite force was amazing, and its canine teeth with missing ears still pierced Batur's skin and bit into his flesh.

Batur's reaction was also quick enough. As soon as he felt the pain in his calf, he realized that his lower body was attacked. He immediately tightened his leg muscles, and his calf immediately became as strong as granite. The earless fangs could no longer bite into it at all.

Batur lifted his leg to free himself from Quer'er's front paws, lifted him into the air with a toe, and sent him flying with a kick. The sound of bones breaking and a scream echoed simultaneously, and Quer'er rolled over in agony a few times before dying.

Que'er is Susan's offspring, and has perfectly inherited her cunning and fighting skills. He often bites the calves of servants and rations unexpectedly, and then bites their throats to eat their flesh and drink their blood after they fall. This has always worked, but he didn't expect to fall into Batur's hands today.

Seeing that Que'er was dead, Susan could no longer sit still and rushed towards Batur with a roar.

Batur knocked a man-eating dog away with a punch, chopped another one in two with his scimitar, then rolled forward neatly to avoid Susan's attack, half-crouched on the ground, and stared into Susan's bloodshot eyes.

Batur quickly dispatched more than half of the thirty or so man-eating dogs. Seeing he was no match for them, the remaining ten or so showed signs of fear and stopped rushing forward. Susan roared horribly and circled slowly around Batur, searching for an opening.
