After leaving the Golden Hall, Selyek didn't return to his bedroom. Instead, he took the elevator up to the second floor and entered his office. Selyek turned off the decorative oil lamp on the wall, and the wall behind his desk opened, revealing his secret rest room.
Zeliek prided himself on his noble lineage and held vampires in deep contempt. He became a knight, partly to secure a powerful backer, and partly to secure enough helpers to spread the plague, create panic, and satisfy his perverted desires. Thus, with this conflicting feeling of disdain for vampires yet a reluctance to leave the Legion, he remained among the vampire community for centuries.
The Seriek race is very fond of cleanliness, even to the point of being obsessed with it. Although Seriek has his own bedroom in the underground castle, he always feels that it is damp and full of all kinds of reptiles, so he seldom stays in the bedroom overnight.
When he first arrived in Hong Kong over twenty years ago, he planned to buy a villa on Victoria Peak as his own private residence. Unfortunately, there were only a limited number of villas on the Peak, and those who could afford to live there were either wealthy or aristocratic, with unusual backgrounds. As a new foreigner in Hong Kong, he had no connections or influence. Even if he were as wealthy as a nation, he still had to follow the rules and wait for a spot. There were still seventy or eighty wealthy people ahead of him, just waiting in line! So, Serriek settled for the next best thing and bought a small Western-style house halfway up Victoria Peak, where he often stayed.
Seeing that it was getting late, Seriek had to go to the intensive care unit after work at nine o'clock to wait for a chance encounter with the Chinese beauty, so he did not return to his residence halfway up the mountain and rested for a while in his secret room.
Seriek tossed and turned on the soft big bed, his mind full of the beautiful image of Qingshan. He could even smell the fragrance emanating from her body. Seriek felt that the desire in his heart was about to burn him. He tossed and turned for a long time before he could barely fall asleep.
After he woke up, he saw that it was not long before work time, so he got up and dressed.
Seliek combed his hair carefully, sprayed his favorite cologne, and put on a light gray handmade shirt with dark patterns embroidered on it with gray thread of the same color. As the light and shadow changed with his movements, it showed a shimmering effect, which was very coquettish. His pants, belt and leather shoes were all from the same series of P's new models of the season.
After getting dressed, Seliek turned around in front of the mirror a few times and felt that his outfit was impeccable. Then he picked up a brand new white coat from the hanger, let his arms flow, and put it on like a windbreaker.
The thought of meeting his beloved soon filled Selyek with joy. He hummed a folk song with a melancholic melody and slowly made his way to the third floor. When he reached the third floor, Selyek looked up at the shadows on the dome. His little darlings were gone; they should have returned to the beach cave by now.
Selye dropped his overly cheerful expression, his face now adorned with just the right amount of worry and a touch of compassion as he made his rounds in the critical care isolation wards. Family members, unaware of Selyeke's true identity, were moved and impressed to see Dean White personally making his rounds early in the morning. They all stood up to greet Selyeke.
Serri smiled politely, nodded to the family members, and offered many words of comfort. The family members were now even more grateful, feeling that this foreign doctor was like the reincarnation of Bernardus. Some of the more sensitive ones even shed tears of gratitude.
Seliek spoke warm words, but there was no trace of sympathy in his eyes. He wondered:
Strange, why did all these patients' temperatures drop? Is it a coincidence?
