Cheng Shaolin now fully believed Li Xiao's earlier statement about having someone involved. Although he didn't know how she knew these things, it didn't stop him from trusting her.
It's not convenient to go back now, so I can only let this woman come with me.
They continued forward with the woman in tow. The woman was terrified when she saw the zombies surrounding her, either screaming loudly or cowering behind Shao Jie.
Her scream immediately excited the zombies, who all gathered in her direction.
Even Yu Yanbin and the others who were following not far behind heard it and hurriedly rushed over.
Cheng Shaolin was truly enraged. "Shut up! If you keep yelling like that, I'll throw you in!" Looking at the woman who had put everyone in danger, Cheng Shaolin's face was extremely ugly.
Tian Tian had never seen Cheng Shaolin get angry before; it was the first time she had witnessed it, and she was quite startled.
No matter how handsome a guy is, he's still terrifying when he gets angry.
The ruthlessness in his eyes was almost tangible, bursting forth from them.
Tian Tian shuddered and dared not look a second time.
Sun Ping shut her mouth in fear and hid behind Shao Jie, looking aggrieved.
Shao Jie was also quite helpless. What had he done to deserve this? Why did he have to come looking for him?
"Could you find another place to hide? I need to fight, and this is making things very inconvenient for me," Shao Jie said, turning around and staring at Sun Ping.
"I...I'm scared, I don't know, sob sob sob." After saying that, she cried, feeling very wronged.
Shao Jie was speechless and looked annoyed. He broke free from the hand that was holding his arm.
This saved a troublesome person from disaster; I'm speechless.
Shao Jie ignored her and continued killing zombies. The people behind him seemed afraid that he would abandon her, sobbing pitifully as they followed, while also trying to dodge him.
Everyone was getting very frustrated. Just then, Yu Yanbin and the others who were searching for supplies arrived.
"What's wrong? What happened just now? Why were you shouting so loudly?"
The people in front didn't have time to answer, and Yu Yanbin saw that a lot of zombies were surrounding them, so he quickly joined the battle.
They only discovered that there was another person behind Shao Jie when the fighting subsided a bit.
"What's going on?"
"That's all you see." Shao Jie was too speechless to even reply.
Cheng Shaolin didn't want to get involved in this matter and had already gone to the front, leaving Shao Jie, Meng Yang, and Tian Tian behind.
Tian Tian briefly recounted what had happened to them, and everyone looked at the woman who had been rescued.
He was emaciated, covered in filth, and timid.
“She called it,” Tian Tian said, pointing at Sun Ping.
Sun Ping paused, glanced quickly at Tian Tian, and then lowered her head again.
No one noticed this except for Li Xiao, who had been paying attention to her.
Yu Yanbin nodded. "Come out."
Sun Ping remained hidden behind Shao Jie without moving.
Shao Jie walked to the side, no longer wanting to be a shield.
When Sun Ping saw that the person blocking her way had left, she panicked for a moment and looked up to find Shao Jie.
Shao Jie ran away quickly, and no one could catch up with him.
Sun Ping started crying again, standing there helplessly.
I find this kind of person extremely annoying; they cry at the drop of a hat.
"Did someone hit you?" Yu Yanbin asked coldly.
Sun Ping was stunned for a moment, and even forgot to cry.
"Shut up if you don't have anything to say. What do you want? If you don't tell us, we're leaving."
Sun Ping lowered her head and sobbed, constantly twisting her fingers.
"Have you thought it through? We don't have much time to waste now. If you've thought it through, then say it. Also, please don't shout. It's not good for you or for us. Please remember that."
“I…I want to go with you,” Sun Ping said boldly.
Yu Yanbin nodded. "Since that's what you think, then behave yourself. Don't hide behind others; they all have missions."
"Also, we can't keep you with us forever. We'll leave you when we reach a place with survivors. I hope you understand."
Seeing that the woman opposite him was still the same, Yu Yanbin suppressed the emotions rising in his heart and said, "Did you hear me clearly?"
The woman kept her head down, her body trembling slightly.
"Zhou Lingyu, you take her and search for supplies." Yu Yanbin ignored her and turned to instruct Zhou Lingyu and the others.
"Go and follow them, and do what they do." After saying that, Yu Yanbin continued to follow the people in front of him.
Zhou Lingyu was furious when she heard this. Why her? She was angry and didn't give Sun Ping a kind look.
He snorted and turned away, leaving Liu Xiaohan behind.
Liu Xiaohan remained expressionless and gestured for Sun Ping to come and follow her. Seeing that everyone else had left, Sun Ping had no choice but to reluctantly follow Liu Xiaohan.
“If you feel wronged, you don’t have to come with us,” Liu Xiaohan said calmly to Sun Ping. “You don’t need to come along feeling so wronged.”
Sun Ping bit her lip and remained silent.
Liu Xiaohan smiled, turned around and walked away, ready to catch up with the others; she didn't want to be left behind.
Looking at the back of the person in front of her, Sun Ping frowned, bit her lip, and followed.
Cheng Shaolin and his group had reached the second person's hiding place. After seeing the behavior of the previous person, they were now unsure of what to do.
Was this the right thing to do to save people?
They planned to go around here and take a look ahead. They were already halfway through the town and could see some green in the distance. They wondered if that was farmland.
Just then, a head popped out of a second-floor window and shouted for help.
Cheng Shaolin and the others were startled by the sound. They looked up and saw a head sticking out of the window. Judging from the voice, it was a man.
