I didn't sleep well all night. There were always noises outside, and I didn't dare to actually fall asleep.
As soon as it was light, Li Xiao got up. She put away her recliner, took out a cup of hot milk, and started munching on two meat buns. She peeked out at the street outside.
There are still a lot of zombies, but every gain comes with risk. There are so many shops around, and even restaurants, snack bars, and hot pot restaurants in front.
If you move quickly and stop abruptly, there shouldn't be any major problems.
Having made up her mind, she quickly finished her breakfast. She then put on her mask and raincoat. She wore them regardless of whether it was raining or not; they not only protected her from the rain but also from trash.
She didn't want to get her clothes dirty and have to wash them. The water might be cut off in the next couple of days.

It was too early; it was barely dawn. No one had come out to collect supplies yet.
Just then, she quickly swapped out a curved sword from her spatial storage.
This is still the best, she said, and quickly harvested the crops.
She was almost there. She took a deep breath and swung her hand forcefully at the zombie's neck. Rotting flesh swayed precariously off its face, barely hanging on. Only the right eye remained in its socket, and even that was about to bulge out. Its body was tattered and torn; its stomach had been ripped open, and its intestines, barely visible, dangled out…
I've seen too many of these. There's no limit to how disgusting they can get.
Now, Li Xiao is numb; she won't be surprised by anything, no matter how smelly or terrifying it is.
These are everywhere, how can you possibly keep up?
