Chapter 105 Opportunity
When the two returned to the private room, their classmates were already having a blast.
As soon as Sun Qianyu saw Jiang Wan, she ran over and put her arm around her shoulder. "Why did you take so long to go to the restroom? Were you avoiding the alcohol?"
"No, I ran into some trouble on the way back," Jiang Wan said, picking up a newly opened bottle of beer from the table. "Why would I avoid drinking? I can hold my liquor perfectly well."
After saying that, she tilted her head back and took a sip directly from the bottle.
Because of this action, Sun Qianyu immediately noticed the moon necklace around her neck. "I've never seen you wear a necklace before. Where did you get it? It's so pretty."
Jiang Wan smiled and lowered her head. "It was a gift from Zhou Chong. He brought it back for me from Europe."
"Wow~" Sun Qianyu exclaimed exaggeratedly, pulling her aside. "Hey, seriously, you two are moving at a pace that's neither fast nor slow. When are you going to get together?"
"I want to know too." Jiang Wan pouted, glancing at Zhou Chong who was sitting down at the other end of the sofa. "Do you think I don't want to be with him?"
"Then hurry up and confess your feelings and win her over!" Sun Qianyu nudged her shoulder. "We can all see that Zhou Chong treats you differently from others. Don't let yourself be blinded by your own feelings."
“I know.” Jiang Wan pondered for a moment and nodded. “But I always feel that something is missing.”
"What's missing?" Sun Qianyu asked, puzzled.
Jiang Wan thought about it carefully and said, "We're just missing a trigger."
"An opportunity?" Sun Qianyu was even more puzzled. "What opportunity?"
Jiang Wan smiled and said, "Alright, you don't need to worry too much about my affairs. I know what I'm doing. Just have fun first."
Hearing her say that, Sun Qianyu stopped worrying and pulled her to the song selection booth, where they selected several Twins songs. "Wanwan, let's sing these songs together."
"Okay, sure." Jiang Wan nodded with a smile.
While waiting for the song to change, he glanced at Zhou Chong on the sofa behind him out of the corner of his eye.
She's not stupid, and neither is Zhou Chong.
Sun Qianyu said that anyone with eyes could see that Zhou Chong treated her specially, and she could feel it herself.
Especially after witnessing him reject Chen Yuewei.
Jiang Wan raised her hand and touched the pendant on her chest.
Zhou Chong coldly rejected Chen Yuewei, but then turned around and put the necklace on her.
She was naturally happy.
But she felt it wasn't enough.
That joking probing remark is the best proof.
Zhou Chong always liked to keep his thoughts to himself, and even though she could glean some information from him now, she still had to guess most of the time.
She didn't want this, she didn't want this ambiguous feeling.
She wanted him to say it clearly and explicitly.
If you don't speak out, then you're nothing.
She needs a catalyst.

In the latter half of the party, Sun Qianyu dragged Jiang Wan to sing karaoke the whole time, singing until her throat was dry and drinking bottle after bottle of beer.
The karaoke king dominated the room until almost everyone else had left, and Jiang Wan and Sun Qianyu finally staggered out of the private room, clutching their wine bottles.
"Why is everyone gone?" Sun Qianyu looked around in a daze, raised the wine bottle, and tilted her head back to take another sip, but Jiang Shengming snatched it away.
"Stop drinking, everyone else has left." Jiang Shengming threw down the bottle and pulled Sun Qianyu off Jiang Wan's shoulder. "We agreed to only drink one bottle, how much did you secretly drink while I wasn't looking?"
Sun Qianyu hugged Jiang Shengming's arm and pressed her slightly flushed cheek against it with a smile, "No... I didn't drink much, I was just happy today."
Jiang Shengming pulled her into his arms, sighed softly with a mixture of helplessness and affection, and turned to say goodbye to Jiang Wan and Zhou Chong: "I'll take her home first. Zhou Chong, why don't you take Jiang Wan home?"
"Okay." Zhou Chong put his hands on Jiang Wan's shoulders and nodded. "You guys go first, I'll take her home."
"Okay, goodbye."
Jiang Shengming turned around, picked up the drunken Sun Qianyu, and walked straight out of the KTV.
After the two left, Zhou Chong lowered his head and looked at Jiang Wan, who was leaning her head on his shoulder.
"Are you alright?"
Jiang Wan tilted her head back, her cheeks flushed, making her fair face appear even pinker. Her bright eyes blinked slowly. "Okay, I... I'm perfectly fine. I can even... walk by myself."
After saying that, she broke free from Zhou Chong's hand and, as if to prove something, staggered forward.
Her body swayed from side to side, and Zhou Chong, worried, put his hands on her sides and followed her step by step.
Jiang Wan had only taken a few steps when she stumbled and fell to the ground, losing her balance.
Zhou Chong tightened his arms, holding the person firmly in his embrace. "Are you alright?"
"No..." Jiang Wan leaned against him, shaking her head groggily, "It's nothing, I... I'm fine."
Zhou Chong chuckled and sighed, "How about I carry you on my back?"
"No...no need, I can walk."
As she spoke, Jiang Wan straightened up again, trying to break free from Zhou Chong's embrace to prove that she was really alright.
However, the arms around her were too strong. She struggled twice but couldn't break free. Instead, her legs went weak and she fell straight into Zhou Chong's arms.
Zhou Chong scooped the man up, saying, "You still say you're fine? How good is your alcohol tolerance?"
Jiang Wan nestled into his arms, her small hands limply clinging to his shoulders. "I used to... have a pretty good alcohol tolerance, just a few bottles of beer, how could I... It seems my eighteen-year-old body isn't up to par, not enough of the enzymes to break down alcohol..."
He mumbled something, then tilted his head and leaned it against Zhou Chong's chest.
Zhou Chong chuckled, tightened his arms, picked the person up, and strode out.
There were many taxis waiting for customers outside the KTV. Zhou Chong walked to the roadside, flagged down a car, and carried Jiang Wan into the back seat.
"Master, go to Yujing No. 1."
"Okay."
The driver responded and was about to release the brake when he heard a voice from the back seat:
"wrong!"
He turned around, and the person speaking was not the young man from before, but the little girl he was holding in his arms.
"What's wrong?" the driver asked.
Zhou Chong was also puzzled, looking down at Jiang Wan in his arms, "Didn't you already move back to Yujing No. 1? Aren't you going home?"
Jiang Wan shook her head, propped herself up on Zhou Chong's arm, straightened her upper body, and casually pointed at the driver, "Not going to Yujing No. 1, going to Yunxi Bay."
Zhou Chong was stunned.
Yunxi Bay...
At this point, where did Yunxi Bay come from?
That villa area has not yet been developed.
After Jiang Wan finished speaking, she leaned back into Zhou Chong's arms, closed her eyes and mumbled, "It's so late, why do we still need to go to my parents' house? Let's just go home."
Zhou Chong's breathing stopped.
The familiarity in her words felt like a distant memory.
The warmth in his arms reminded him that everything was happening in the present moment.
"Yunxi Bay? Where is that?" The driver scratched his head in confusion. "Is there such a place in our city?"
Zhou Chong snapped out of his daze and forced himself to remain calm as he said, "Master, I'm sorry, she's drunk. Let's go to Yujing No. 1 instead."
"Okay." The driver nodded, turned around, and stepped on the gas.
The colorful lights outside the car window receded before my eyes.
Zhou Chong lowered his head and looked down at Jiang Wan, who was lying in his arms.
So, you came back with me too?
