Chapter 64 Misunderstanding

Or is it that Pei Siyu has really fallen for Su Xueya?

Mingyao's thoughts were like a tangled mess, getting more and more chaotic the more she tried to pull them apart.

"Master Pei, you're really joking."

She forced a smile and winked at Pei Siyu, "Master Pei already warned me this afternoon, I dare not."

This might be Pei Siyu testing her, and Mingyao dared not let her guard down.

To avoid Pei Siyu's burning and sharp gaze, she blushed and turned her head away.

"Su Xueya, I'm giving you one last chance."

The man's voice grew even colder, each word he uttered sounding as if it had been chilled to the bone.

Mingyao's heart skipped a beat, and she awkwardly looked up, only to be met by Pei Siyu's dark, inky eyes.

"Master Pei, I don't understand what you mean." She composed herself, her eyes quickly reddening, her voice trembling with a sob.

Mingyao pressed against Pei Siyu's chest, trying to create distance between them.

Suddenly, her wrist tightened, Mingyao's eyelashes trembled twice, and her breath caught in her throat.

Pei Siyu increased the pressure on her hand, and the stinging pain from her wrist made Mingyao's brows furrow deeply.

"Master Pei, it hurts a lot," she murmured.

Pei Siyu showed no mercy, his eyes flashing with cold light as he tried to pierce through the transparent Yao's body.

Mingyao outwardly appeared weak and easily bullied, but inwardly she was inwardly complaining.

You jerk, can't you just say what you mean?

"Tsk, Su Xueya, I underestimated you."

Pei Siyu said sarcastically, his gaze toward Ming Yao full of mockery, "You still have the mind to play hard to get with me even now, very good."

"ah?"

Mingyao's eyes widened, and she instinctively defended herself, "I didn't."

"Really?" Pei Siyu took a step closer, his exquisite features suddenly magnified several times over. "What benefits did she promise you?"

"Would you willingly become her dog?"

The man's rapid-fire remarks left Mingyao completely bewildered. "Master Pei, what are you talking about?"

She feigned timidity as she met Pei Siyu's icy gaze, her heart skipping a beat.

Could the "she" Pei Siyu is referring to be Madam Pei?

"Still pretending." Pei Siyu's lips curled into a sneer. "Zhilian Technology Company, Fan'er Group, Ruixin Company—she's got her hands on all of them. Su Xueya, do you really think I'm a fool?!"

"ah!"

Mingyao cried out in pain, her face contorted in agony, tears welling in her eyes, as if she was about to shed them.

Just now, Pei Siyu suddenly increased the force in his hand, almost crushing her wrist bones.

She bit her lower lip, looking at Pei Siyu with teary eyes, "Master Pei, I didn't."

She felt so wronged.

How come Su Xueya is so good at making trouble?

In some ways, Su Xueya is very capable.

In less than half an hour with Pei Siyu, he accurately jumped into Pei Siyu's minefield multiple times, showing a fearless courage.

This has really gotten me into serious trouble.

“Master Pei, I have no contact with her, and…” Mingyao’s explanation was weak, “I didn’t intend to seduce you either.”

"I was drunk at the time and couldn't control my overwhelming love for Master Pei, so..."

After saying those words, Mingyao felt like slapping herself twice right then and there.

How could you say such a shameless thing?

Pei Siyu already disliked her, and now he's in even more trouble.

Mingyao pursed her lips and smiled at Pei Siyu. Since things had come to this, she might as well just go all out!

“Master Pei, every word I said is true.”

Pei Siyu's expression darkened visibly, and the cold glint in his eyes was extremely penetrating.

In an instant, he exuded a chilling aura that kept strangers at bay, and Mingyao could feel the temperature in the study plummet.

A sudden knocking sounded at the door, followed by Wu Ma's exclamation, "Little boy, you can't come here!"

Mingyao then remembered Little Radish Ding, "Master Pei, I forgot to tell you."

She asked in a trembling voice, "I found a child, and the police asked me to take care of him. Could he stay here?"

Worried that Pei Siyu might not agree, Mingyao quickly added, "I will take good care of him and will never let him cause any trouble for Master Pei."

"I will send him away immediately once the police contact me."

Pei Siyu frowned, her eyes as cold as ice. "Does she really think she's the mistress of the Pei family mansion? Bringing whoever she wants?!"

Meeting his blazing gaze, Mingyao was so frightened that she fell silent. Her pale face made her red eyes appear even more pitiful.

Pei Siyu's most tender part was deeply touched.

"Master Pei, I'm sorry." Mingyao had anticipated that Pei Siyu would be angry, but she didn't expect him to be this angry.

She apologized sincerely.

The fault lies with her; she shouldn't have taken it upon herself to bring the child back.

Mingyao lowered her head, staring at her toes. "If Master Pei doesn't like him here, I'll take him to a nearby hotel later. I'm sorry."

Pei Siyu felt inexplicably choked up, a feeling of unease creeping into his heart.

Especially with Mingyao's tearful appearance, he simply couldn't bring himself to be ruthless.

"go out!"

"Don't let me see him in the living room!"

Pei Siyu shook off Mingyao's wrist, a hint of impatience appearing in his cold eyes.

Mingyao blinked, and the little chick-pecking-mouse nodded, "Okay!"

"Thank you, Master Pei." Her eyes curved into a smile, her tear-streaked face beaming with a radiant glow.

Pei Siyu was momentarily dazed.

"go out!"

He turned his back, his expression ambiguous, his tone leaving no room for doubt.

Mingyao dared not linger in the study, for fear of upsetting Pei Siyu again.

Grasping the doorknob, Mingyao turned around and looked at Pei Siyu with her mouth slightly open.
