Fortunately, she regained some of her senses after the slap, otherwise she would have grabbed Zhou Shuya by the hair and pinned her to the ground to beat her.
As I pondered, the sound of footsteps approached from afar.
"Deputy supervisor, wait a minute."
Mingyao jogged to catch up with Zhou Shuya and grabbed her arm without hesitation. "What did I do wrong? Can the deputy manager tell me? I can change!"
As she spoke, she composed herself, and tears streamed down her face. "I'll do anything as long as the deputy supervisor is willing to let me go."
Seeing her fawning and groveling, Zhou Shuya smiled smugly, then grabbed Mingyao's hand and said with a mocking smile, "Too late!"
She stared at Mingyao with a mocking and sarcastic look, and forcefully pried her hands apart.
Mingyao persisted, grabbing him again and pleading tearfully, "Deputy Supervisor, I can't live without this job."
"Please, please let me go."
Zhou Shuya wasn't buying it at all, and retorted sarcastically, "Why are you begging me? Go beg Boss Wang."
"Since you love groveling before men so much, this time you'll get to grovel to your heart's content!"
Sobbing uncontrollably, Mingyao stared straight at her, choking back tears as she asked, "Is the reason the deputy manager dislikes me because I got Boss Wang to sign the contract?"
“Yes, it was you, Deputy Supervisor, who asked me to deliver tea to Boss Wang, and I did as you said… But it was Boss Wang who proposed the contract, it has nothing to do with me, I didn’t mean to steal your credit.”
"Waaah, I'm sorry, Deputy Supervisor, I was wrong."
Mingyao tightened her grip on Zhou Shuya's arm. "I'll go and explain to President Pei."
"Tell President Pei that you're the one who secured the contract, okay?"
Her cries were hoarse and shrill, like a broken gong, and they were heartbreaking to hear.
Zhou Shuya's anger was aroused by Mingyao's wailing.
"You bitch, let me go!"
She forcefully pried Mingyao's hand apart.
Instead of letting go, Mingyao fiercely grabbed a piece of flesh on the inside of her arm.
Pain surged through her like a tidal wave, Zhou Shuya's face contorted in pain, and she hissed as she gasped, "You dare pinch me, you bitch!"
Mingyao must have done it on purpose!
Zhou Shuya angrily raised her hand, trying to shake off Mingyao, who was practically glued to her arm.
Before she could exert any force, the person who was wrapped around her arm like an octopus suddenly let go.
With a muffled thud, Mingyao fell heavily to the ground.
"Deputy supervisor, I really didn't mean to steal your credit..."
Mingyao raised her tear-streaked face, her eyes swollen like buns. She sobbed as she propped herself up, her body trembling as she cried, her delicate figure appearing fragile.
Zhou Shuya's eyes were filled with anger, and she was furious. "Heh, stop pretending to be pitiful!"
"You flirted with Boss Wang and stole my credit. Now that I've discovered your true colors, you still have the nerve to cry here?"
"Your tears might work on men, but they won't work on me!"
Mingyao stood up unsteadily, tears streaming down her face. "Deputy Manager, I didn't flirt with Boss Wang, I just..."
She bit her lip and tentatively reached for Zhou Shuya's hand. "Deputy Director, calm down first, let's talk slowly."
"Stop pretending!" Zhou Shuya quickly pulled her hand away, glaring at Mingyao with disgust. "I'll smash that hypocritical face of yours to pieces!"
Seeing this, Mingyao pretended to be scared and lowered her head, counting in her mind.
One, two...
Zhou Shuya raised her hand menacingly, and Mingyao counted to three.
As expected, the pain did not come. Mingyao, who was crying her eyes out, timidly raised her head.
Upon seeing the person beside Zhou Shuya, his gaze turned blank. "Special, special assistant."
Just as Zhou Shuya raised her hand to hit Ming Yao, her assistant rushed over and grabbed Zhou Shuya's wrist, his clear black and white eyes flashing with a chilling light.
Zhou Shuya's heart skipped a beat, and her imposing manner instantly diminished by seven-tenths. "What a coincidence, what brings you here?"
She curled her hands up, her face pale.
The assistant tightened his grip, a dangerous glint in his eyes. "If I hadn't come, would you have continued the attack?"
"I don't."
Zhou Shuya smiled, her face full of flattery.
The special assistant is Pei Siyu's most capable assistant and the person he trusts the most.
Once you offend the special assistant, you can forget about ever getting close to Pei Siyu again!
The assistant coldly shook off her wrist, looked at Mingyao with concern, and almost blurted out words of concern.
Mingyao quickly waved her hand while massaging her wrist, lowered her eyes and whispered, "Thank you, Assistant."
Once he came to his senses, the assistant immediately perked up, swallowed the words "Miss Su" and asked, "Are you alright?"
Mingyao shook her head. "I'm fine. There was just a misunderstanding between me and the deputy manager. It's nothing serious."
The assistant glanced at Ming Yao's red and swollen eyes, then looked at Zhou Shuya with an even more gloomy gaze.
How can this be considered a small matter?
He heard the entire conversation between the two as they struggled, and there must be something fishy about Mingyao getting Boss Wang to agree to sign the contract.
If he hadn't intentionally concealed Mingyao's identity, he would never have let Zhou Shuya off so easily today!
Zhou Shuya looked at her assistant fearfully, "I..."
"You should explain it to President Pei."
The assistant interrupted her coldly, "President Pei requests that the deputy manager come to his office."
Zhou Shuya gasped, a chill running down her spine, and tentatively asked, "What can I do for you, Mr. Pei?"
The assistant glanced at her coldly without answering.
Zhou Shuya immediately avoided her assistant's cold gaze and forced a smile, "I'll go right away."
After saying that, she glared resentfully at Mingyao, whose body was still trembling, and stormed off to her office.
