In the past, Zhou Sui didn't dare to lift her eyes, and could only use the top of her head to shield herself from that piercing gaze.
"What are you looking at? You bumped into me and you didn't even apologize?"
"What are you carrying? You've dirtied my clothes. Do you think you deserve that?"
Zhou Sui wanted to spend some time at the milk tea shop next door today, so she brought the tea leaves with her. The tea leaves were currently in a black bag, which had some dust on it.
Chen Zongyue's mother, Gao Juan, patted her clothes with a look of disgust.
"Auntie, you were the one who hit someone, not me. You're the one who should apologize."
Zhou Sui called Gao Juan that on purpose because Gao Juan looked a bit older than her age and was very concerned about it.
Sure enough, Gao Juan's face stiffened. "You, what did you call me?"
"Auntie, Auntie." Zhou Sui called out a few more times with a smile. Gao Juan was born in the countryside, but now works in the city and considers herself a city dweller. She felt that the term "auntie" sounded like something people in the village would use, and was too rustic and unworthy of her current position as a supervisor.
Zhou Sui called out several times, her face extremely pale.
"Auntie, please be more careful next time you walk. If you bump into someone again, I won't be so lenient with you."
Zhou Sui knew Gao Juan well; it was hard to hear an apology from her, but it was good to annoy her.
After saying that, Zhou Sui turned and walked away. Gao Juan turned around angrily and shouted, "Little girl, you dare to say it again?"
"Auntie, Auntie, Auntie!" Zhou Sui called out three times in a row, and then saw a familiar figure walking towards her. It was none other than Chen Zongyue!
Zhou Sui couldn't help but roll her eyes, cursing inwardly, "What bad luck! I ran into this mother and son as soon as I came out."
Zhou Sui immediately turned her head back, quickened her pace and left, ignoring Gao Juan shouting at the top of her lungs behind her.
