Chapter 117 Discovering a Business Opportunity

Just as Chen Zongyue was about to turn his head to look, the waiter came up with a tray.

While waiting for the food to be served, when he turned his head again, the figure in front of the counter had disappeared.

Xiaomin was a little disappointed, but then she smiled and said, "It's okay, Boss Zhou is either here or at the milk tea shop next door. We'll see her when we go there later."

Chen Zongyue was not interested. He didn't care whether he met the boss or not. He had a purpose in coming to see Xiaomin today.

But there were many people eating here, and every now and then, Xiaomin's classmates would come over to say hello, so Chen Zongyue had time to speak up and tell them what had happened.

He thought he'd wait until they got to the bubble tea shop to talk about it; the food there was just as Xiaomin had said—novel and delicious.

Xiaomin originally wanted to try what stinky tofu tasted like, but since Chen Zongyue was sitting opposite her, it wasn't appropriate to eat something with such a strong smell.

She certainly didn't want to have bad breath when she spoke to Chen Zongyue.

After the two finished their meal, Xiaomin led him to the next shop. Unlike the crowded snack shop, the milk tea shop only had a few people sitting there.

Xiaomin glanced at them and then whispered to Chen Zongyue, "Those are all teachers from our school. After we order the milk tea, we'll go upstairs to drink it."

Chen Zongyue noticed that the layout here was somewhat similar to the snack shop next door, but this place was more refined.

A speaker was placed next to the counter, and melodious music echoed throughout the store.

For a moment, Chen Zongyue felt as if he had walked into a Western restaurant.

As soon as the two entered, a young woman wearing a white apron came to greet them.

"Welcome to Zhouzhou Milk Tea Shop. What would you two like to drink?"

The girl pointed to the menu next to her and said, "This is the menu. You two can take a look first."

Xiaomin had already come here once before, so she knew what to order, but Chen Zongyue was hearing the name "milk tea" for the first time and knew nothing about it.

The young woman probably noticed and began to explain the ingredients of milk tea, as well as what was added to each type.

Xiaomin ordered a red bean and barley milk tea because she really likes sweet things.

At the suggestion of the shop assistant, Chen Zongyue ordered a cup of bubble tea.

The clerk quickly took their order. As Chen Zongyue paid, he muttered to himself, "No wonder there aren't as many people here as next door. The money for two cups of milk tea could buy a bowl of hot and sour noodles next door."

After paying, the two went upstairs. Xiaomin walked in front, and Chen Zongyue followed behind. Just as he was about to reach the last step...

The shop door was suddenly pushed open, and the bell on the door rang crisply. Chen Zongyue subconsciously turned around to look.

Upon seeing this, he froze on the spot. Zhou Sui?!

What's she doing here? And why is she dressed so nicely?

Countless questions popped into my mind, and then I saw Zhou Sui walk behind the counter and sit down on the high chair by herself.

Suddenly, Chen Zongyue's mind exploded like fireworks. Boss Zhou? Could it be Zhou Sui?

According to Xiaomin, the boss was young and beautiful, and her surname matched Zhou Sui's description.

"Zongyue?" Xiaomin had just found a seat she liked and was about to sit down when she turned around and saw Chen Zongyue still standing blankly in the stairwell. "What's wrong with you?"

Chen Zongyue didn't dare to linger any longer and stepped onto the last step. "It's alright, I'll just stand here and look at the overall layout upstairs. It's quite nice."

When Zhou Sui looked up at the stairwell, she saw the hem of his clothes brush past her.

"Are there guests upstairs?"

One of the employees replied, "Yes, they ordered milk tea. I'll bring it up to them right away."

Zhou Sui nodded and continued flipping through the book in her hand. She had recently been researching adding some desserts to milk tea shops, such as small cakes, bread, and donuts.

She's currently studying baking from a book. She's tried it before, but the tools she used back then were very different from what she uses now, so she needs to master the theoretical knowledge first before putting it into practice.

"Boss, make me these milk teas." The door was pushed open again, and a figure hurriedly walked in.

When Zhou Sui took a look, it was the same old face. Her milk tea shop had only been open for a few days, but this boy came to buy milk tea almost every day.

And each time they come, they buy quite a lot.

Zhou Sui took the paper he handed her; the characters on the paper were vigorous and powerful, a beautiful handwriting.

After handing the milk tea to the shop assistant, Zhou Sui took the opportunity to chat with the boy, "Are you a student at the school?"

"Yes." The young boy nodded shyly. He had come to buy several times before, but had never spoken to this beautiful female shop owner. This time, she took the initiative to talk to him.

"Did you buy this for someone else?" Zhou Sui noticed that he was carrying quite a few things in his hands. Judging from the style of the bags, they belonged to the snack shop next door.

The boy scratched his head, a little embarrassed. "Well, it's cold, and some students don't want to come out after school, so I help them bring their food back."

Indeed, it's cold now, and the wind is biting cold when it blows.

"Is it paid?" Zhou Sui asked tentatively.

The boy nodded, and when he smiled, you could see the cracks on his sallow face. "Take them back for them, and you can get a few cents for each one."

“My family is poor, and my parents are old. It’s not easy for them to earn money. Anyway, I don’t have much to do at this time of day, so I run around to earn a little money and get some exercise at the same time.”

Zhou Sui was a little surprised by his frankness. At this time, many people were poor and were actually sensitive and insecure. They wished they could find a turtle shell to wrap themselves up and not let others notice their poverty.
