After lunch, Song Qi'an made an excuse to take Zhou Sui away.
As soon as Zhou Peng left, Zhou Sui's shoulders slumped, and she breathed a sigh of relief.
Song Qi'an reached out and took Zhou Sui's hand, looking at her with a hint of helplessness, "Are you that afraid of your brother finding out?"
“My brother knows you have a girlfriend.” Zhou Sui turned to look at Song Qi’an with some resentment, her bright eyes silently asking: How did he know?
Song Qi'an quickly explained, "You know, this is the first time I've met your brother since I came back." The two of them hadn't even exchanged a phone call and couldn't contact each other at all.
Zhou Sui believed him. Song Qi'an was the kind of person who kept his word and wouldn't agree to something one second and then go back on his word the next.
“However,” Song Qi’an thought of someone, “Tang Jia called me, but I found her annoying, so I told her I had a girlfriend.”
Although he blocked Tang Jia's number, it didn't stop Tang Jia from calling him from other numbers.
Song Qi'an had never given her a kind look before, and now that he has a girlfriend, he avoids her even more, hoping that Tang Jia will never contact him again.
Zhou Sui thought about it and realized that Tang Jia had been having dinner with Zhou Peng the past two days, so he probably found out from Tang Jia.
Anyway, they didn't name her, so if they know, they know.
The two walked hand in hand toward the coffee shop ahead. Zhou Sui was a reserved person when it came to relationships and wasn't very proactive, but Song Qi'an was much more proactive and also took care of Zhou Sui's feelings. The two chatted and laughed, and were about to turn into the coffee shop.
A little girl dressed very warmly, wearing a pink hat, suddenly appeared out of nowhere. The thick hat blocked her vision, so she ran straight towards Zhou Sui.
Song Qi'an quickly pulled Zhou Sui over, but the little girl was running too fast and her steps were a bit unsteady. If he hadn't pulled her up, she would definitely have fallen flat on her face.
Before Zhou Sui could speak, Song Qi'an could already tell what she was thinking from the expression on her face.
The little girl was only a step or two away from the two of them. Song Qi'an took a step forward, stretched out his long arm, and grabbed the little girl's hat.
Zhou Sui quickly squatted down to support the chubby little girl. Judging from her height, she was only two or three years old. She could barely walk properly, but she was quite good at running.
"Ouch." The little girl cried out softly, exhaling white breath and revealing her gums, which were not yet fully aligned. "I almost fell over."
Judging from her lingering fear, Zhou Sui guessed that she meant she almost fell.
“Little girl.” Zhou Sui squatted down and reached out to steady the little girl’s body. The little girl seemed tired and leaned half of her body against Song Qi’an, her big woolen hat covering half of her face.
Zhou Sui reached out and gently pulled her hat up a little, revealing the area below her eyes.
What an adorable child! Those big, blinking eyes look just like a porcelain doll. Zhou Sui was instantly charmed by the child's cuteness.
Children's skin is indeed the best; it's just like a peeled egg, so bouncy and smooth that you can't help but want to reach out and pinch it.
Zhou Sui's hands felt itchy for a moment, but she quickly controlled it, afraid that her cold hands would hurt the child.
"Little friend, what about your parents?" Zhou Sui suddenly stopped midway through her question.
Why did she think this little girl looked so familiar?
