Chapter 153 Separated by a Wall

Perhaps her feelings for Song Qi'an were different from long ago, but at that time she thought that she only wanted to make money and that love was impossible. Under this self-suggestion, she felt that she had no emotional ties.

In the past two years, many men have appeared in her life, but none of them have made her feel as comfortable as Song Qi'an.

Although Song Qi'an wasn't by her side for the past two years, he would always find many ways to subtly remind himself of his presence.

Zhou Sui gently stroked the bracelet on her wrist, her mind filled with images of countless little people dancing. She, who usually went to bed early, was so excited that she couldn't sleep.

She kept thinking about when would be the right time to give Song Qi'an an answer. After tossing and turning countless times and checking the time several times, she finally drifted off to sleep.

The last time she checked the time, it showed 4:31 a.m. Zhou Sui thought that she usually woke up around 9 a.m., which had become her biological alarm clock.

After she woke up, she went downstairs to buy breakfast, and the two of them would eat together and go back together.

That's what she thought, but the next day, Zhou Sui was woken up by a cell phone ringing. She closed her eyes and fumbled under her pillow for a while before pressing the buttons from memory.

"Sui'er." It was Grandma Zhou's voice coming from the other end of the phone.

"Grandma," Zhou Sui mumbled indistinctly.

"You're still not up? That's why the child hasn't arrived yet today."

"Okay, go to sleep. Grandma won't bother you anymore. Call Grandma back when you wake up later."

Before Zhou Sui could speak, the call ended. She loosened her grip, and the phone slid down her cheek and landed on her shoulder. The cold touch made Zhou Sui shudder.

She swept her phone aside, changed her position, and prepared to go back to sleep. She was just dreaming about a pot of delicious-smelling chicken soup that she was about to drink. She needed to fall asleep immediately to taste what the chicken soup was like.

Zhou Sui sniffed and unconsciously swallowed. Her dream felt so real; the faint smell of chicken soup lingered in her nostrils.

Huh? Zhou Sui, who was immersed in the chicken soup, suddenly opened her eyes. She wrinkled her nose and took a deep sniff. It really smelled like chicken soup. She wasn't dreaming!

Zhou Sui quickly sat up, her pretty face flushed red under the blanket, her hair disheveled, looking adorably dazed.

She picked up her phone, which she had tossed aside, and saw that it was already past one o'clock. She had actually slept until noon. No wonder her grandmother had called; she would usually be home by now.

Whose chicken soup is that? It smells so good, it woke her up with a sweet aroma.

The desire for chicken soup reached its peak at this moment. Zhou Sui sat cross-legged, yawning, and prepared to call Grandma Zhou to tell her that she wanted to drink chicken soup today.

Hmph, she can't be tempted by that. Their family's homemade chicken soup is delicious too.

As Zhou Sui was about to access her call log, she suddenly froze. Had she forgotten something important?
