However, the bracelet that she had just easily put on suddenly seemed to shrink and she couldn't take it off. Zhou Sui even pulled on it hard, and the collision of the hard metal made her fair skin turn red immediately.
Song Qi'an's deep eyes darkened instantly, and he pressed down on Zhou Sui's hand, "Don't you like it?" His voice was much lower.
"Huh?" Zhou Sui, who was struggling with the bracelet, looked up and saw that Song Qi'an's expression was not right.
She quickly shook her head, "No, I like it." Everyone would like such a beautiful bracelet.
"Then why take it off?"
Zhou Sui was a little unsure how to answer this question. She liked it, but it was too precious, and she felt unworthy of it.
But Song Qi'an didn't give her a chance to refuse, "This was originally bought especially for you. If you don't like it, just throw it away. You don't need to return it to me."
His expression and tone didn't sound like he was joking.
"Song Qi'an, did you go crazy from being soaked in the snow?" Zhou Sui was so anxious that she called him by his full name.
"You threw this bracelet away? You're such a spendthrift!" Is this how the world is for rich people? Zhou Sui felt really ignorant.
Song Qi'an glanced at her, "If anyone's going to throw it, it'll be you."
"You!" Zhou Sui felt that this person was sly and malicious. How could someone as greedy as her possibly throw it away, especially since the bracelet couldn't be removed?
"Whether you throw it away or not is entirely up to you." Song Qi'an picked up his cup and slowly took a sip of water, his arrogant manner making even plain water look like red wine.
Zhou Sui really wanted to roll her eyes at him. "You did this on purpose. I haven't even agreed yet, and you've already put it on me."
Song Qi'an raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything. That's right, he did it on purpose, so what?
Zhou Sui wanted to grind her teeth again, but she was no match for Song Qi'an. After a brief stare, Zhou Sui gave in first.
"Hmph, fine, I'll take it. It's not like I'm the one paying for it. I'm happy it's a free gift." Hearing Zhou Sui agree to accept the bracelet, Song Qi'an finally opened his tightly clenched hands at his side.
"Then you can stay here with me for the night, and we can go back together tomorrow?" Having received such a valuable bracelet, she felt she had to let the person stay for at least one night. It was already past ten o'clock when they started talking.
The words "Let's go back together" greatly pleased Song Qi'an. Even though he was very willing to stay, he still kept his mouth shut.
"Will this trouble you?"
"If it's inconvenient, I can make do on the sofa in the living room."
Zhou Sui thought he would suggest staying at a hotel for the night, but it seems she underestimated Song Qi'an's shamelessness.
"It's no trouble. There's another room available, and there are new ones for washing your face and brushing your teeth. You'll just have to make do with Ah Xu's clothes for now."
"I just bought it. I was planning to give it to him this weekend." Afraid that Song Qi'an would dislike it, Zhou Sui quickly explained, "You can wear it as pajamas. It might be a little small."
Zhou Xu is quite tall, but compared to Song Qi'an, he is still half a head shorter.
So when Song Qi'an put on Zhou Xu's clothes, his arms and legs were half a length shorter.
The man who originally exuded an aura of authority while wearing a coat now appeared much softer after taking a shower, washing his hair, and changing his clothes. There were still a few stray hairs on his forehead and water droplets on his face that hadn't been wiped clean.
Zhou Sui watched as the water droplets flowed down Song Qi'an's face, from his chin to his throat, and then down his throat until they disappeared from sight.
"Hmm?" Song Qi'an noticed that Zhou Sui's eyes were fixed on something.
Zhou Sui blushed and looked away, handing over the towel in her hand. "I left the hairdryer inside. Go and dry your hair, or you'll catch a cold."
She was now almost afraid to look Song Qi'an in the eye, and even wanted to slap herself for being so seduced by his good looks, staring at him with wide eyes.
"I didn't swallow just now, did I?" Zhou Sui belatedly thought. If she had swallowed, she would have been incredibly embarrassed, and her reputation would have been ruined.
Fortunately, Song Qi'an seemed not to notice anything amiss and went back inside to dry his hair.
Zhou Sui quickly grabbed her clothes and took a hot shower. When she came out, she had changed into fluffy pajamas and tied her long hair into a loose bun, which made her face look even smaller.
When she came out, Song Qi'an had already finished drying his hair. "Brother Qi'an, you should get some rest. You can sleep in as late as you want tomorrow."
As they passed Song Qi'an's room, Zhou Sui stood at the door and spoke to him.
Song Qi'an turned around and looked at the person standing at the door. She had just come out of the bathroom and her cheeks were still flushed. Her pajamas had a small V-neck, which revealed her fair skin.
"Okay, you should get some rest too." Song Qi'an shifted his gaze back to Zhou Sui's eyes and brows.
The girl smiled at him and said gently, "Goodnight."
"Good night."
They used to say goodnight to each other when they talked on the phone at night, but this was the first time they had said goodnight to each other face to face.
Song Qi'an's gaze followed Zhou Sui until the door to the next room closed.
Zhou Sui lay in bed, still feeling a bit incredulous. Before, the two of them were thousands of miles apart, but now they were only separated by a wall. She wondered how happy everyone would be to see Brother Qi An return tomorrow.
Anyway, she was quite happy. Zhou Sui tried to turn over, but the hard object on her wrist reminded her of the bracelet.
Her initial happiness suddenly turned into unease. She remembered what Song Qi'an had said before he left; she still owed Song Qi'an an answer.
She had never consciously thought about this answer, but when she saw Song Qi'an today, she suddenly understood.
