Chapter 106 The Cowshed (I)
After returning home, Lu Xiaoxiao was in a low mood because of what she had seen and heard in the county town, so she didn't want to eat dinner or practice today. She brought the herbs that were drying in the yard into the house, then took a shower and went to bed.
When she woke up the next morning, Lu Xiaoxiao had calmed down. After having breakfast, she carried a basket and went out to cut grass for the pigs.
When she arrived at the foot of the mountain, she saw that Liu Ermei had already cut a basket of grass for the pigs, so she walked up and gave the cloth and needle and thread in the basket to Liu Ermei.
In the past month, Liu Ermei has earned twelve yuan by sewing purses. When Lu Xiaoxiao sees Liu Ermei busy every day with a satisfied smile on her face, she is also happy for her.
When Lu Xiaoxiao finished cutting a basket of pig grass, she saw that Liu Ermei had sewed fifteen purses, so she put the basket on her back and walked towards the pig farm with Liu Ermei.
After she delivered the pig grass to the pig farm, she didn't plan to continue cutting pig grass. Liu Ermei left first because she still needed to cut another basket of pig grass, so she had to go home alone.
As soon as Lu Xiaoxiao walked out of the pig farm gate, she saw a large group of people walking towards the pig farm. Out of curiosity, she did not leave, but stood at the gate of the pig farm to see what was going on.
Not long after, Lu Xiaoxiao saw four old men being pushed by several fierce-looking men and walking towards the cowshed next to the pig farm. Surrounding them were villagers who were watching the fun. The team leader followed a man who looked like a small leader.
When the group of people arrived at the cowshed, the four old men were forced to their knees on the ground. One of the old men coughed a few times, probably because of illness, and the little leader went straight up and kicked the old man.
After the young leader kicked the old man and saw that he had stopped coughing, he stood in the middle of the crowd and said, "Dear fellow villagers, these people stole confidential documents from the factory, so the factory has arranged them to work here.
They can only do the dirtiest and most tiring work of yours. If I find out who is helping them, I will label you as their accomplices and make you work with them."
After hearing what the little leader said, the villagers looked at the four old men as if they were the gods of plague, and then they began to criticize Lu Xiaoxiao in whispers.
The little leader nodded with satisfaction when she saw the villagers' reactions. Then she explained some things to the captain and left with her men.
After the small leaders left, the captain looked at the four old men kneeling on the ground. Although he felt reluctant, he did not dare to disobey the words of the small leader. So he arranged for the old men to live in a room in the cowshed and told them to start cleaning the cowshed tomorrow.
After the captain left, the four old men supported each other and stood up. One of them had unstable legs, probably because he was injured.
Lu Xiaoxiao waited until they all entered the house before she carried the basket on her back and walked home.
After returning home, Lu Xiaoxiao entered the space. She thought of the four old men in the cowshed. Looking at their temperament, she knew that they were definitely not sent here for stealing confidential documents from the factory. However, human hearts are unpredictable. Not everyone in the world is a good person, and not everyone can repay a favor. The story of the farmer and the snake is not uncommon.
However, Lu Xiaoxiao couldn't just leave them alone, so she thought of a compromise. She planned to send them some medicine and food to help them get through this difficult time, and then slowly observe whether they were worthy of help. Otherwise, if she helped them and ended up being bitten back, who would she go to for justice?
Lu Xiaoxiao just saw that one of them was coughing and one was unable to stand steadily. Although the other two had some skin injuries, they didn't look serious. So she knew what to prepare for them.
So she took out three pieces of oil paper from the space and wrapped three doses of cold medicine, then took out a bottle of medicine for bruises and injuries and cleaned the packaging, and for food she took ten steamed buns made of three-grain flour, which should be enough to get her through today and tomorrow.
Dear little cuties, if you like Huahuashu, please give it five stars. I love you.
