Chapter 107 The Cowshed (Part 2)

Chapter 107 The Cowshed (Part 2)

At around nine o'clock in the evening, Lu Xiaoxiao changed into a black dress and pants and walked towards the cowshed. In order to avoid meeting people on the way to the cowshed, she deliberately took the long way and made a big detour from the foot of the mountain.

When Lu Xiaoxiao came behind a tree about seven or eight meters away from the cowshed, she saw a faint light coming from the gap in the cowshed, and knew that the people in the house had not rested yet.

So she looked around, and when she was sure that there was no one around, she lightly walked towards the cowshed quickly. When she reached the door of the cowshed, she put the package at the door and immediately went back behind the tree.

After Lu Xiaoxiao rested behind the tree for a while, she picked up a stone from the ground and threw it towards the door. After a bang, she heard someone coming to open the door, so she left immediately.

When Foreman Xie heard the sound of something hitting the door, he looked at the three people in the room, then he got up and opened the door.

But after he opened the door and looked around, he didn't see anyone. Just as he was about to close the door, he saw a package on the ground, so he went forward and picked up the package from the ground, and then closed the door.

Foreman Xie returned to the house and put the package on the ground. When the three people in the house saw Foreman Xie's actions, they looked towards the package on the ground. Unfortunately, the package was tied tightly and they could not see anything.

"Yunlei, since the package was left at the door, it must have been delivered to us by someone. It's understandable that someone doesn't want to show up in our current situation. You should open the package first and see what's inside." Old Master Fan said to Foreman Xie.

After hearing what Mr. Fan said, Foreman Xie said, "Mr. Fan, I understand. I'll open the package now. You're coughing and feeling uncomfortable, so you'd better say less."

"good."

The moment Foreman Xie opened the package, the four people in the room fell silent. After a long while, Old Fan spoke up, "Yun Lei, Qi Ping, Guo Yao, no matter who sent this package today, we must keep it a secret and never let this person be exposed.

Looking at the things he gave us, we know that he was willing to help us. Now we are unable to repay him, so we should just keep this kindness in our hearts."

Foreman Xie and the others nodded in agreement after hearing what Mr. Fan said, so the four of them ate a steamed bun each and began to help each other apply the medicine. Mr. Fan also ate the cold medicine wrapped in the oil paper.

After finishing everything, the four of them smiled at each other and went to rest.

After Lu Xiaoxiao returned home after a long detour from the foot of the mountain, she felt that delivering something was almost like a spy meeting. It was too tiring.

The next morning, after Lu Xiaoxiao delivered feed to the pig farm, she did not leave immediately. Instead, she stood at the door of the pig farm and looked towards the cowshed.

When she saw four old people working hard to clean cow dung in the cowshed, she couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. Although the four old people looked a little embarrassed, their condition was much better than when they first came yesterday. She guessed that the medicine was working.

Lu Xiaoxiao thought that the things she sent to them yesterday should have been eaten, so she had to go home and think carefully about what to send them today. This time she couldn't send them steamed buns like she did yesterday, but some food that could be preserved for a longer time, preferably food that they could cook and eat.

After thinking about this, Lu Xiaoxiao didn't bother to continue observing the four old men. Instead, she turned around and left the pig farm and headed home.

What she didn't know was that the moment she turned around, an old man in the cowshed looked at her leaving back and smiled.

After returning home, Lu Xiaoxiao took out ten kilograms of corn grits that had been placed in the cupboard before the New Year. Then she took out ten kilograms of potatoes and ten kilograms of sweet potatoes from the wooden barrel. She thought about it and went to the kitchen to pack a bag of salt.

After finishing tidying up her things, Lu Xiaoxiao looked at the things she had sorted out on the ground. She always felt that something was missing.
