Chapter 79 Ending (1/2)

At three quarters past midnight, the night sky over the Japanese Concession in Tianjin was ripped apart by a burst of gunfire like popping beans.

More than twenty Green Gang heroes in military uniforms and armed with German-made submachine guns fired wildly at the gate of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, and the bullets shattered the carved glass door.

The leader, Liu Tang, kicked open the shaky door frame and shouted in broken Japanese: "Long live Marshal Xie! Kill all the Japanese dogs!"

The gang members behind him followed with strange shouts, and the sound of gunfire mixed with vulgar insults roamed the streets.

Almost at the same moment, three black cars roared into the Japanese Army base.

The "officers" in the car leaned out of the windows and fired indiscriminately, and the bullets hit the concrete wall of the sentry post, sparking sparks.

One of the gang members was so nervous that he dropped his magazine outside the car.

"Baka!" In Consul Sato's office, the sake cup smashed onto the carpet. He picked up the phone with a grim face: "Send an urgent telegram to General Liu Chu in Peking immediately! Xie Yun's troops are attacking the Imperial Japanese Army in Tianjin!"

Lieutenant Colonel Natori frowned and held the phone: "Sir, please wait a moment." He leaned against the window and carefully distinguished the gunshots outside: "Xie Yun's troops are well-trained, and they always fire three rounds in a burst. But listen, this is completely random shooting like splashing water."

Sato's hand froze in mid-air, and the anger in his eyes was gradually replaced by suspicion.

Sato suddenly pushed open the window, and the night wind blew in with the smell of gunpowder.

The firelight from the Japanese Chamber of Commerce building in the distance reflected on his gloomy face.

"Natori-kun, you're right." Sato's lips curled up into a sinister smile, "This is indeed not the fighting style of a regular army." He turned around abruptly, "Pass the order down, the military police will stay put for the time being, and send the reconnaissance squad to find out their details first."

At the same time, Liu Tang led his gang to rampage in the Japanese Concession, deliberately creating chaos.

A young gang member wiped the sweat from his forehead and said in a low voice: "Tang, are we going too far? What if..."

"Stupid!" Liu Tang grabbed his collar, his eyes flashing with madness, "I want to turn the world upside down!" He let go of his hand and grinned, "When the Japanese can no longer tolerate it and send troops to attack, that dog officer's military department will be finished!"

Liu Tangqi was rushing along the alley with a group of people, when suddenly a dazzling searchlight lit up in front of them.

Major Natori emerged from the shadows with a team of fully armed military police, pointing their guns at them.

"Put down your weapons!" Natori shouted in fluent Chinese, his boots making crisp sounds on the bluestone slabs, "Who the hell are you?"

Liu Tang's heart trembled violently, and cold sweat instantly soaked his back.

In a flash, he raised his submachine gun and fired a burst of shots as if by reflex.

The "da da da" sound of gunfire was particularly harsh in the narrow alley. Mingdao rolled sideways swiftly and hid behind the cover.

The magazine of the straight gun was empty with a "click" sound, and Liu Tangqi suddenly woke up as if from a dream. He cried out "Oh no!" and turned around to run away.

"There's obviously something wrong!" Natori's eyes flashed coldly, and he drew his saber and swung it forward: "Capture them alive! Don't let any of them escape!"

Fierce gunfire broke out instantly.

Bullets whizzed through the alleys, hitting the brick walls and sending up gravel.

Liu Tang's team was quickly beaten to pieces. He fled into a dark alley with two of his confidants, only to find a high wall in front of him! This is a dead end!

Just as they turned around in despair, the sound of leather shoes stepping on the ground came from deep in the alley.

A slender figure slowly walked out from the shadows, the moonlight casting a cold shadow on his face.

Liutang stepped back in fear, his back against the cold brick wall: "Who... who are you?"

"Thanks for your hard work."
