Chapter 79 Ending (2/2)

The three words fell lightly, followed by a few dull gunshots.

Liu Tang's eyes widened, and before he could react, he and his two men fell into a pool of blood.

Zhou Lin put away his smoking pistol, turned around and disappeared into the shadow of the alley.

When Natori arrived with the military police, he saw only three bodies that were still warm.

He angrily kicked over the bamboo basket next to him and said, "Baga! Didn't I order you to capture them alive? You're a bunch of good-for-nothings!"

The soldiers were silent, no one dared to speak.

The bullet-riddled walls and scattered shell casings made it impossible for anyone to determine whether this was an accidental killing during the exchange of fire.

Natori crouched down and carefully searched the leader's body.

When he reached into the other person's inner collar, he suddenly touched a cold metal object. When he took it out, he found it was a bronze token with a blue dragon pattern carved on it!

Natori's pupils suddenly contracted, and his fingers unconsciously tightened, the edge of the token sunk deeply into his palm. He stood up suddenly, his face terribly gloomy: "So that's it... The Green Gang is trying to kill people by using me!"

In Sato's office, Natori knelt on one knee and presented the blood-stained token with both hands.

Sato took the token and examined it carefully. When he saw the seal characters "Six Halls of the Green Gang" on it, the veins on his forehead suddenly popped up.

Sato angrily smashed the token to the ground. He overturned the tea table in front of him, and the tea set broke into pieces. "It turns out that the Green Gang is behind this! Immediately mobilize the special operations team and wipe out the Green Gang's lair!"

Inside the Green Gang's headquarters, Chen Shicong lazily leaned back on a throne, playing with a pocket watch between his fingers.

The watch cover opens and closes with a crisp "click" sound, which echoes with the ticking sound of the clock.

He leisurely took a sip of the fine Longjing tea, looking at the gradually darkening sky outside the window with a smug smile on his face.

"Wait until daybreak..." The scene of Xie Yun's army headquarters being razed to the ground, the scene of Zhao Qingshan's blood-spattered execution ground, and the glory of himself sitting on the top seat of the Green Gang had already emerged in his mind.

Just as he was immersed in this beautiful dream, the door of the headquarters was suddenly knocked open.

A bloody man staggered in and fell to his knees with a thump.

The wound on the man's left arm was hideous. Blood kept dripping from his fingertips, leaving a shocking bloodstain on the floor.

"Master... Master Chen..." The gang members raised their heads with difficulty. The blood on their faces could not hide their horrified expressions. "Something...something big happened..."

Chen Shicong suddenly stood up and stepped forward: "What's going on?!"

"Master Chen... Master Chen!" The gang member's voice was hoarse, and his trembling fingers tightly grasped the corner of the table. "Six halls... They are all in the Japanese concession! The Japanese killed our people when they saw them. Brothers didn't even have a chance to surrender!"

Chen Shicong's pupils suddenly contracted. He grabbed the collar of the gang member and said in a very low voice, "Didn't I tell you to put on military uniforms, fire a few shots and then retreat?"

Another gang member stumbled in, his face covered in soot: "Master Chen! Something terrible has happened! The Japanese armored vehicles have already left the concession and are heading towards our headquarters! The guards on the periphery of the brothers... have all been pulled out!"

Chen Shicong's face turned pale instantly, and his fingers began to spasm unconsciously.

He shouted to the panicked gang members in the room: "Quick! Tell all the gang members to evacuate immediately..."

As soon as he finished speaking, a deafening explosion suddenly came from the distance.

The carved window frames of the main altar rattled and shook, and the bronze bells on the eaves swung wildly.

Outside the Green Gang headquarters, three armored vehicles were lined up in a V-shape, with the black muzzles of their machine guns pointed at the vermilion lacquered gate.

In the office of the military commission, Zhou Lin gently placed the battle report on Xie Yun's desk: "The Japanese army suffered 67 casualties, and the Green Gang's Eight-way Hall was confirmed to have been killed."

Xie Yun's slender fingers gently stroked the edge of the battle report, and a meaningful arc appeared at the corner of his lips: "This scene is almost over."
