Not long after Luo Fan confirmed that the Shadow Crocodiles outside had gradually left, he heard the sound of many people walking towards him.
"Could it be that those people are still alive, with such strong luck? But their strength is not right."
Ellie was a little nervous. If those people really came, a fierce battle would be inevitable. Therefore, Luo Fan was right.
As it turned out, the leaders were none other than President Joseph and Duke Simmons.
When Joanna saw that Ellie was alright, she rushed over and hugged her tightly, her face still streaked with tears.
"It's good that you're alright! I knew you wouldn't be in any danger." The Duke smiled as he looked his daughter over; she was unharmed. Even the guards who accompanied her didn't seem to have been through any major battle.
"That's pretty much what I thought. It was Luo Fan who discovered this cave back then, and I never expected it to save their lives." Joseph roughly understood their countermeasures, which were indeed perfect.
“It’s just that Ellie only came to the dungeon three times, and each time she encountered an accident. Could it be that she’s incompatible with the dungeon?” Joseph added.
"Didn't you see she's already advanced? That slime has advanced too. This speed, this opportunity, is truly enviable." The Duke sighed.
In just over six months, Ellie has grown from a Level 2 novice mage to a mid-level mage; the speed is simply too fast.
"Yes, but she is indeed a sensible and good child."
After Anna's explanation, Ellie learned about the situation outside. More than 30 people had gone missing, but the floors above the fourth floor were not greatly affected.
Moreover, since most of the participants were fighting as a team this time, some teams actually made some gains, and many hidden monsters were scared out of their hiding places.
Most importantly, the guild pinpointed the source of the Shadow Crocodiles to that swamp. After all, the stench of blood was overwhelming, and there was a large amount of blood piled up outside.
With everyone's escort, Ellie and the others finally left the cave. The Duke even sent people to sweep through the nearby area and kill a few lone ghost wolves.
"See? I told you there wouldn't be any major problems. Most of those who went missing were definitely the group that was planning the sneak attack. Have your sister investigate again when we get back."
"If the guild hadn't even had these basic emergency measures, it would have been eliminated long ago," Luo Fan earnestly advised his master again.
When Luo Fan passed by that swamp, he used his divine sense to check it out. There were many corpses at the bottom, and the number of Shadow Crocodiles increased further down.
This time, the depth that could be explored was nearly ten meters greater, but the bottom of the swamp was still not reached.
"Ellie, secretly tell the guild master and the duke about the information on the sixth floor later. As for whether they can use it, that depends on their own abilities."
"Is this... alright? Didn't you say it was dangerous down there?"
"The more dangerous the place, the better the rewards. If adventurers value their lives, what's the point of being Russian adventurers?"
"Why don't we just tell them here?"
"Heh, that would kill even more greedy people."
The Duke noticed that Ellie had slowed down and was staring at the swamp. He casually explored the swamp as well and took a deep breath.
So many monster and human skeletons!
"Joseph, should we seal this place off? Those shadow crocodiles are definitely down there."
"That's what I was thinking too. Let's seal it off for now. Ice Shadow Dungeon will be temporarily closed and not open to the public."
At this point, apart from a few hiding in the secret passages, no other magical beasts could be seen in the Ice Shadow Dungeon.
The first five floors were overdrawn.
So, several earth-elemental mages took action and completely sealed off the swamp, finally covering it with a large rock.
Back in the guild room, Ellie specifically called over Guild Master Joseph and the Duke to tell them about Lovan's discovery.
"Just as I suspected, the entrance to the sixth floor is hidden there. Thank you, Ellie." The president nodded.
"Guild Master, this is what I should do. Luo Fan said there are many monsters above level 50 down there, and even some level 70. If you want to develop this area, please be careful."
"There are level 70 characters?" The Duke looked at Ellie, somewhat incredulous.
"That's Luo Fan's guess, and it's mostly Shadow Crocodiles inside," Ellie added, then fell silent.
"If there are high-level Shadow Crocodiles, then it's not something you can easily develop. Thank you for the information anyway."
Ellie nodded and left the room.
The remaining three looked at each other, knowing the significance of this news. After all, the guild had been searching for a long time, but they still hadn't determined the location of the next level's entrance to the Ice Shadow Dungeon.
"Let's not announce it yet. Even the strongest mercenary group in the city doesn't have the strength to conquer it, especially under those circumstances," the city lord set the tone.
"Yes, that's what I think too. I just did a quick survey, and there are a lot of corpses and skeletons inside. If we want to develop it, we'll at least need to find a few archmages to completely open it up."
“But doing so would likely unleash all those Shadow Crocodiles. If that happens, Sacred Heart City will be destroyed,” the Duke nodded, analyzing the situation.
“But that’s definitely a potential problem! This Ellie always brings us surprises.” Joseph shook his head helplessly; just thinking about it gave him a headache.
"It's her slime, isn't it!"
The three of them couldn't help but laugh.
Joanna's office.
"Sister, have you found anything?"
"Most of these dead were former members of the Coldwater Mercenary Group. Ellie, do you know something?"
"We were attacked by them inside."
"These bastards deserve to die! I'll send someone to investigate and see if there are any survivors. How dare they bully my sister."
"Yes, thank you, sister. As for the mercenary group, I'll talk to them about it tomorrow."
"No rush, you should rest well first. Also, congratulations on advancing to the intermediate-level mage."
Ellie's face immediately lit up with a smile, and her knotted heart was completely untied.
Luo Fan stopped teasing her and stayed on her shoulder, looking like a good boy.
After all, too much of a good thing can be bad; if you really anger her, you'll be the one who suffers.
After explaining things here, Ellie and Daisy left the guild together with the Duke.
Joanna told Joseph about Ellie's situation again. Soon, those people's stronghold was investigated, and there were two guys left behind.
After some interrogation, their plan became clear: kill Ellie, make a fortune, and then leave Sacred Heart City.
"These guys are truly incorrigible. Fortunately, this monster riot happened, otherwise I don't know what would have happened next." Joanna said resentfully, looking at Joseph beside her.
"Sigh, next time Ellie goes to the dungeon, you must send someone to keep an eye on her. Leave these people to me, and see if there are any others alive."
"Um."
Finally, after searching their hideout, they found several girls' clothes with a foul odor on them.
Anna was furious. She punched and kicked the two men, and only after venting her anger did she feel much better.
Later, two more spies were interrogated, and eventually these people disappeared completely from Sacred Heart City.
