Palindromic Wild Side Story 3
A tall body fell backward, shaking the floor and sending dust flying, which looked like gold dust being sprinkled in the light.
Oda, holding his scorching hot pistol, saw Gide fall and his pupils suddenly contracted. His face was expressionless, but his eyes followed the crimson blood flowing onto the floor.
After a while, Oda lowered his arm and put away his gun.
The scene just now happened too fast and too quickly. Tsurumi Kawakami, who was in the audience, suddenly opened his eyes wide. He only reacted when he saw Gide fall down. He looked at Oda Sakunosuke with concern and breathed a sigh of relief after not seeing any injuries on him.
When Tsurumi Kawakami arrived, he had already heard Dazai Osamu talk about Gide's supernatural ability, which, once activated, allows him to foresee scenes in the near future.
After he and Dazai Osamu entered, Gide glanced at them and then uttered his last words before dying.
Dazai Osamu glanced at the dead Gide and roughly guessed what the other had seen when he activated his supernatural ability during his visit to Tsurumi River.
But he glanced at the bewildered Tsurumi Nagaru, then turned to Oda Sakunosuke: "It's all over. Oda Sakunosuke, leave the Mafia and do what you want to do."
Oda paused for a second, then jumped off the stage, staring at Dazai Osamu and asked, "And you? Have you found the meaning of life? No, it's the same for you no matter which side you're on. In that case, why not go and see the side of justice?"
Listening to their conversation, Tsurumi Nagaru felt his brain wasn't quite working. He looked at the two people with serious expressions, blinked, and shut his mouth.
Dazai Osamu smiled, a hint of warmth appearing in his eye that wasn't bandaged. He said, "Ah, I'll consider it."
After saying that, he turned his gaze to Tsurumi Kawakami, who was already scratching his head, and suggested, "Didn't you say you were going to buy some sweets? Let's go."
Tsurumi Kawakami's eyes lit up, and he immediately put the question out of his mind, urging them to leave the villa.
Standing outside the confectionery shop, Dazai Osamu glanced at Tsurumi Nagare inside, then turned to Oda Sakunosuke and said, "I'll take Nagare back to the Mafia to report on the situation later. Oda Sakunosuke, don't go back yet. Make sure those kids are settled first."
Oda nodded. He was indeed worried about the children, and the curry shop had been damaged, so it would take some time for it to continue operating.
He stared at Dazai for a moment, then patted him on the shoulder: "Then I'm leaving, Dazai."
Dazai Osamu: "Yeah, see you at Lupin Bar."
Pushing open the door to the confectionery shop, Tsurumi Kawaru looked at Dazai Osamu with anticipation and said hesitantly, "Dazai, I didn't bring any money."
Dazai Osamu paused, reached into the inner pocket of his coat, and pulled out a black card belonging to Chuuya.
After paying the bill, Tsurumi Kawakami followed closely behind him. "Dazai, where do we go now? By the way, how are Dr. Mori and Chuuya?"
Dazai Osamu's lips curled slightly, and a hint of mischievousness flashed in Tobi's eyes: "Hey, Ryu probably doesn't know how hard Mori-san has worked for the Mafia. Like this time, Mimic is actually a foreign organization, but Mori-san brought people to Yokohama for the Mafia, and then leaked information to the Mimic leader, telling him that Oda's ability could defeat him."
Tsurumi Kawakami: "
The black-haired, golden-eyed boy suddenly widened his eyes, his expression filled with surprise and disbelief: "Why would Dr. Sen do this?"
Dazai Osamu: "Well, you'll have to ask Mori-san about that."
-
"Wait—you said Mimic was destroyed, but Oda escaped unscathed."
Inside the Mafia building's leader's office, Mori Ougai, who was listening to a report from executive Ozaki Koyo, looked up in surprise.
When Ozaki Koyo received the information, she was also somewhat surprised. As a "veteran" of the Mafia and whose interests were aligned with the current leader, she knew that Mori Ougai had brought Mimic to Yokohama in an attempt to exchange it for a superpower license from the Special Ability Division.
I just didn't expect Mori Ougai to use Oda Sakunosuke to facilitate this and achieve the result.
Although she didn't know why Mori Ōgai did this, Ozaki Kouyou composed herself and reported the latest intelligence gathered by the intelligence department to Mori Ōgai.
"Yes, a battle just took place at the Mimic base, and the leader, Andre Gide, was killed. Oda, Dazai, and a black-haired, golden-eyed boy came out of the Mimic base together."
After Ozaki Koyo finished speaking, she stepped forward and handed Mori Ougai a secretly taken photo.
The photo shows Oda Sakunosuke, Dazai Osamu, and another person. Because it was taken secretly, the angle is a bit off, but it clearly captures most of the third person's face.
When Ozaki Koyo saw the person in the photo, she felt that the third person looked familiar, as if she had seen him somewhere before. But the matter was urgent, and she didn't have time to think about it further before taking the information and the photo to Mori Ougai.
Ozaki Koyo didn't recognize him, but Mori Ougai recognized him immediately.
He stared at the person in the photo, his dark red eyes widening suddenly. He straightened up somewhat abruptly, his slender fingers gripping the photo tightly, his mind racing.
"So that's how it is." Upon recognizing the person in the photo, Mori Ougai immediately understood why Mimic had not died despite destroying Oda Sakunosuke.
He chuckled softly. It was hard to tell whether Mori Ougai was in a good or bad mood at that moment, but this outward display of emotion lasted for less than half a minute.
Mori Ougai quickly composed himself, interlacing his fingers, resting his chin on the back of his hand, and a glint of light flashed in his dark red eyes.
He looked up at Ozaki Kouyou and instructed, "Have Chuuya come back early. Mafia needs to hold an internal party to celebrate the new executives."
Ozaki Koyo was taken aback. She looked up and met Mori Ougai's gaze. Her heart skipped a beat, and she lowered her eyes, responded, and left.
As soon as she stepped out of the elevator on the first floor, Ozaki Koyo sensed something was off. She snapped out of her reverie and looked up to see Dazai Osamu standing with his back to the door, talking to the person in front of him.
Mafia personnel passing by would involuntarily hold their breath slightly before quickly moving on.
Ozaki Kouyou's eyes flickered slightly, and she stepped forward with a smile: "Dazai."
She walked over to Dazai Osamu, turned to look at the person standing in front of him, who looked exactly like the third person in the group photo. Looking at his face, Ozaki Koyo felt a strong sense of familiarity.
Tsurumi Kawakami's eyes lit up when he saw her. He waved and greeted her warmly, saying, "Kumyou-nee! Long time no see!"
Ozaki Koyo paused for a moment, then exclaimed in surprise, "Ryu—!"
Dazai Osamu crossed his arms and glanced at them: "Kurenai-nee, did you just come down from the boss's office?"
Ozaki Koyo nodded. After seeing Tsurumi Kawakami, she understood the meaning behind Mori Ougai's words.
Having received the answer, Dazai Osamu nodded to Tsurumi Kawa: "Idiot Kawa, let's go see Mori-san."
-
A foreign port for maritime trade.
Chuuya Nakahara, the executive in charge of establishing trading posts overseas, received his second phone call today from Mafia headquarters.
When he received the call, Chuuya Nakahara was leading a firefight.
"Huh? Who's back?" Chuuya Nakahara's eyes widened. "I understand. I'll leave things here to Igawa and head back to Yokohama right away!"
-
Inside the Mafia building, in the leader's office.
Tsurumi Kawaru stood in front of his desk carrying the snacks he had just bought. He looked at Mori Ougai, who hadn't changed much, and greeted him warmly: "Dr. Mori, it's been a long time."
Mori Ougai was also observing Tsurumi Kawaru. His face had grown considerably since four years ago, and he was now about the same height as Dazai Osamu standing beside him. His demeanor had also changed somewhat, but his golden eyes remained clear, just as they had been four years ago.
He smiled and said, "Long time no see, Liu Jun."
Glancing at Dazai Osamu beside him, Mori Ougai composed himself and asked, "When did you return, Ryu-kun? How long do you plan to stay?"
Four years ago, Tsurumi Kawakami suddenly disappeared. Mori Ougai, who had just finished paying the bill at the Western restaurant and returned to his private room, was shocked to find that the person who had been sitting there was gone.
Tsurumi Kawakami clearly thought of that incident as well, scratching his cheek with his finger and saying uncertainly, "It will probably be a long time."
After saying that, he suddenly remembered the purpose of his visit to Mori Ougai. "I came back today. As soon as I got back, I encountered Mimic's people attacking the curry shop and trying to kidnap the children that Odasaku had adopted. I helped out and saved them, and that's when I ran into Odasaku and Dazai who were on their way."
"Dr. Mori already knows what happened after that, right?"
Mori Ougai fell silent, perhaps thinking of the former leader's fate. He paused for two seconds before abruptly changing the subject.
He looked at Dazai Osamu: "I will approve Oda's resignation. I will be holding an internal party at Mafia tomorrow night. I have already called Chuuya to come back."
"Let Dazai show you around Mafia for the next couple of days," he said, turning to Tsurumi Kawaru.
Dazai Osamu's expression remained unchanged. He nodded slightly upon hearing Mori Ougai's instructions, agreeing to the matter.
Before Tsurumi Nagare could say anything more, Dazai Osamu stepped forward and grabbed his wrist: "Come on, you idiot. It's obvious that Mori-san doesn't want to talk to you anymore. Staying any longer won't get you anywhere. Don't waste your time."
For Dazai Osamu, the purpose of his trip would be achieved if Mori Ōgai could agree to Oda Saku's resignation.

Soon, everyone in the Mafia learned about the party that was going to be held the next night. According to inside sources, the party was for the new executives.
They soon found out who the new cadres were.
Dazai Osamu led Tsurumi Kawaru on a tour of all five buildings in the Mafia, perfectly carrying out the task Mori Ōgai had given him.
Rumors about the new cadres spread like wildfire.
On the second night, just before the party was about to start, Ozaki Koyo received a call from Nakahara Chuuya, who had already gotten off the plane and seemed to be able to make it to the party.
Chuuya Nakahara, who had just gotten off the plane, left his subordinates behind and drove back to the Mafia alone. He parked his car in the garage assigned to him and then took the elevator upstairs.
Shortly after he went up, an elevator came down from above, and with a ding, the elevator doors opened, and Dazai Osamu, who had left the party, stepped out.
He bypassed the surveillance cameras and arrived at Chuuya's garage. He glanced at the blue sports car parked on the outermost side and knew that Chuuya, the shorty, had returned.
"Never mind, I was thinking of giving Chuuya a gift before I left, but considering that Idiot Ryu is the star of today's party, I'll pass."
Dazai Osamu muttered to himself, took one last look at the Mafia, and then resolutely turned and left.
The news of Dazai Osamu's defection spread like wildfire the very next day, along with the return of the new executives and Chuuya.
-
"Damn Dazai!"
"Ah, Dazai has left."
"Yes, thankfully Ryu-kun came back, otherwise the Mafia would have suffered a great loss."
After Chuuya finished berating Dazai, he looked at Mori Ougai with some concern and asked, "Boss, should we treat Dazai Osamu's defection as a traitor?"
Mori Ougai looked out the floor-to-ceiling windows, paused for a few seconds, and said, "No need, just process it as a resignation for now."
Let him see just how far Dazai can go in the end.
"Dazai, don't disappoint me," Mori Ougai thought to himself.
Tsurumi Kawaru said with a surprised and somewhat conflicted expression, "But Dazai hasn't returned my piggy bank yet."
Ozaki Koyo, who was standing to the side, took out a pink pig from her sleeve. "If this is what Ryu is talking about, Dazai gave it to me before he left, and asked me to pass it on to you."
Immediately, Tsurumi Kawakami took the piggy bank with a look of surprise and hugged it to his chest.
