Chapter 151 Lost and Found

When we emerged from the misty forest, the moon had already changed.

Fu Wenzhou saw the campsite in the wilderness and a bad feeling immediately arose in his heart: "Is Youyou here? Is she here?"

Xu Zezhan turned to look at him and saw that he had just been half-dead, but now he suddenly sat up in shock upon seeing these camps. His lips twitched: "She arrived earlier than us. Jiang Xun heard about you from the black market and told her. She came to Y country the next day."

"Damn it!" Fu Wenzhou cursed, "Is she out of her mind? Why is she telling Youyou all this?"

After scolding him, she lay back down, looking utterly hopeless: "Youyou is going to be angry with me again."

Yun Nian interjected, "Is Youyou your wife?"

"None of your business," Fu Wenzhou sneered.

Yun Nian: "..." Master is right, monks should not gossip.

Xu Zezhan asked, "Is his injury serious?"

Yun Nian: "Although it's not life-threatening, it's still quite serious."

Xu Zezhan frowned deeply upon hearing this.

Fu Wenzhou glanced at the dark night and said in a low voice, "Is there water around here at the camp?"

Xu Zezhan frowned and asked, "What are you going to do?"

Fu Wenzhou said, "Clean yourself up and change into clean clothes."

Xu Zezhan took a deep breath: "You're injured like this, why aren't you going back for treatment? Fu Wenzhou, are you seriously injured in the head too?"

Fu Wenzhou shifted his body, immediately hissing in pain. After the pain subsided, he casually asked, "I like to be clean, is that a problem?"

Xu Zezhan: "..."

With a cold face, he ordered his men to carry Fu Wenzhou into the encampment tent and personally attend to the young master.

When Fu Wenzhou took off his blood-stained clothes, Xu Zezhan's expression changed, he gasped, and remained silent for a long time.

There wasn't a single good piece of flesh on his entire body.

He tilted his head back, forcing back the stinging in his eyes, and said in a hoarse voice, "Fu Wenzhou, you really have guts."

Fu Wenzhou smiled nonchalantly, his voice lazy and tinged with weariness: "You only realized this today?"

“Yes, I only realized that today.” Xu Zezhan said, “As your brother, I both think you’re foolish and admire you from the bottom of my heart. Fu Wenzhou, you are better than all of us.”

Fu Wenzhou's eyelids drooped. He was very tired, but the pain in his body kept him awake.

After a while, he hummed in agreement.

His body was covered in wounds, making it impossible to clean him. Xu Zezhan could only clean some of the bloodstains on his wounds and then call Yun Nian in to apply medicine and bandage him.

Applying medicine was nothing short of torture, but Fu Wenzhou was very patient and didn't utter a sound even when he was covered in sweat.

Yun Nian worked very carefully, and it took her more than an hour to finally get it done.

"Okay," Yun Nian said.

Fu Wenzhou changed into Xu Zezhan's clothes. The two were about the same height, and the clothes fit him fairly well.

It was nearly midnight when I drove back to the hotel.

As soon as Fu Wenzhou got out of the car, he asked, "Which room is Youyou in?"

Xu Zezhan: "8066."

Fu Wenzhou nodded and limped forward.

Xu Zezhan stared at his retreating figure, speechless for a moment. It wasn't until Yun Nian spoke that he snapped out of his daze: "Excuse me, what did you just say?"

Yun Nian repeated, "Where do I live?"

Xu Zezhan turned to Fu Bei, who was standing silently behind him, and said, "Take him to a room."

Fu Bei: "Okay."

He then took Yun Nian to the hotel reception.

Xu Zezhan checked the time; it was 2 a.m. Gu Bai was already asleep at this hour, so he gave up on informing him that Fu Wenzhou had found out.

It's not too late to talk about it tomorrow.

Let Fu Wenzhou get some rest first.

-

The night was dark and the wind was high; all was silent.

Fu Wenzhou opened the door with the room key, but instead of going in, he stood at the door and rubbed his face and lips hard until they bled before going inside.

The lights were off inside; only a sliver of moonlight shone through the window.

There was a chair in the corner, and Song Qingyou was curled up on it, hugging her knees, burying her head in her knees, her spine protruding, and she was as thin as a sheet of paper.

Fu Wenzhou froze on the spot, his heart suddenly clenched, and an indescribable heartache churned within him.

He limped slowly to Song Qingyou's side and squatted down. Just that one movement was enough to make him sweat profusely.

But his expression remained unchanged. His thin lips moved, and he called out twice, "Youyou, I'm back."

Song Qingyou had actually heard the noise, but she didn't dare to look up. The tug-of-war between dreams and reality over the past few days had made her unable to distinguish between truth and falsehood.

She was terrified that she would wake up and find that it was all just a dream.

Her body trembled slightly, and her fingertips gripped her arms so tightly that they turned white. Although her fear was fake, she still couldn't bear not to look up.

Song Qingyou recognized Fu Wenzhou's clothes; the ones he was wearing weren't his.

She froze, and tears instantly streamed down her face.

Fu Wenzhou was immediately flustered and his brows furrowed. He raised his hand and gently touched her cheek, slowly stroking Song Qingyou's eyelids with his thumb. The tears were slightly cool, but they burned all the way to Fu Wenzhou's heart, making him panic and become flustered.

She coaxed him softly, "Don't cry, Youyou, don't cry."

The familiar warmth of his fingertips against her cheek finally brought some real feeling to Song Qingyou's face. She wanted to angrily question him about where he had been all these days and why he had ventured into the Misty Forest alone, asking if he was courting death.

But what came out was: "Fu Wenzhou, do you not want me anymore?"

Fu Wenzhou felt a tightness in his chest, and his throat felt like it was blocked by something, both uncomfortable and painful. He wanted to pull Song Qingyou into his arms immediately, but in the end, he just clenched his fists and forcefully suppressed such thoughts.

He paused for a long time before speaking, his voice trembling slightly: "How could I not want you?"

Song Qingyou's eyelashes were moist, and the corners of her eyes were red, like a rose growing from parched land, fragile yet resilient: "How could you expect me to not see you for more than a month?"

Fu Wenzhou was in excruciating pain in his heart and hurriedly explained, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, Youyou. This will never happen again. I've found Yunfang's apprentice. He can cure your illness, and we can be together forever from now on."

Tears streamed down Song Qingyou's cheeks. She moved her lips, her voice hoarse: "Fu Wenzhou, you're just an idiot."

"Yes, I'm an idiot." Fu Wenzhou tenderly wiped away her tears: "Even if I'm an idiot, I'm your idiot."

Song Qingyou could no longer contain her emotions. She threw herself into Fu Wenzhou's arms, hugged him tightly, and cried out, "Fu Wenzhou, there won't be a next time."

He left without saying goodbye and went on a solo adventure.

There can't be a next time.

Fu Wenzhou's face paled for a moment, and his right leg trembled slightly, but he quickly steadied himself. He braced his left hand on the high platform beside him and slowly put his right arm around Song Qingyou's waist: "Yes, there won't be a next time."
