Lu Zhizhi glanced at the people around him with a cold look, and those people fled in fear. Lu Zhizhi himself seemed to have lost his soul and turned back in despair.

The next day, before dawn, Lu Zhizhi got up early and headed to Mu Han's studio. When he walked not far from the studio, he saw that it was pitch black all around, with a large "off" sign hanging outside.

Lu Zhizhi slowly walked into the studio and headed straight for Mu Han's usual room. The room was equally dark, and in the far corner, he saw two large boxes. Lu Zhizhi walked forward unhurriedly and slowly opened one of the boxes. In an instant, his gaze froze—the boxes were filled with portraits of himself, each one painted by Mu Han himself.

He took out the paintings one by one in disbelief and found that without exception, they all had him as the subject.

Lu Zhizhi's Home

Lu Zhizhi brought all the paintings from Mu Han's studio back home and hung them all over the walls of his study. Every night was like purgatory for him, and insomnia became the norm.

He looked at the withered lavender bunch at the bedside, and his thoughts drifted to Mu Han. Without Mu Han's scent lingering around him, Lu Zhizhi's vision gradually blurred.

In a trance, he seemed to see a familiar figure appear at the door. Mu Han was walking slowly towards him with soft steps. Lu Zhizhi subconsciously reached out his hand, wanting to grab Mu Han, and Mu Han smiled at him gently.

Just when their hands were about to hold each other, the figure gradually disappeared.

Lu Zhizhi stared wide-eyed, helplessly watching Mu Han disappear before his eyes, unable to do anything. When he was left alone in the room, Lu Zhizhi couldn't fall asleep, so he went downstairs in a daze and slowly sat down on the sofa.

After a while, Lu Zhizhi subconsciously looked towards the kitchen and saw Mu Han standing there with a gentle smile on his face. He said softly, "Azhi, it's time to eat. There's your favorite braised pork."

Lu Zhizhi stood up instantly and rushed to the kitchen impatiently.

Just as he was about to touch Mu Han, she suddenly disappeared again. Lu Zhizhi froze in place, his outstretched hand still suspended in mid-air before slowly falling down. Feeling lost, he returned to sit on the sofa.

Lu Zhizhi closed his eyes and rested for a while. When he opened his eyes again, Mu Han was already standing in front of him, gazing at him gently.

Lu Zhizhi didn't reach out immediately, but just sat there quietly watching. As he watched, he unconsciously reached out his hand again, wanting to touch Mu Han in front of him, but in an instant, Mu Han disappeared without a trace again.

Lu Zhizhi murmured to himself, "I just missed you so much that I wanted to touch you. Why did you leave like this? I regret it..." As he spoke, he hugged his head and burst into tears. In this way, for several consecutive days, Lu Zhizhi was always trapped in such hallucinations and was always tortured by insomnia at night.

Lu Zhizhi was in the room, feeling aggrieved, and said, "How am I supposed to live this summer without you, Hanhan? I really want to find you. Please let me see you, okay..."

The summer passed quickly amidst Lu Zhizhi's torment, and autumn set in. In the park, the trees had become bare. Lu Zhizhi sat on a chair, looking at the layers of fallen leaves on the ground, and his thoughts involuntarily drifted to Mu Han again.

Lu Zhizhi sat on the chair and whispered to himself: "Hanhan, look, summer is over. Don't you love summer the most? Now that summer is gone, can you look at me..."

As soon as he finished speaking, Lu Zhizhi noticed that another person seemed to have sat down next to him. Looking closely, he saw that it was Mu Han sitting next to him, with a gentle smile on his face. Lu Zhizhi subconsciously returned the gentle smile, but after a while, Mu Han slowly disappeared again. After this period of time, Lu Zhizhi seemed to have become accustomed to this scene.

The next day, Lu Zhizhi got up early and went to Mu Han's grave. He stayed there quietly, as if time had stopped, until it gradually darkened, and then Lu Zhizhi remembered to go home. After returning home, he lay listlessly on the bed, and then went to the study. In a trance, he saw Mu Han again. Mu Han was concentrating on painting there, with an extremely serious expression. Lu Zhizhi stared blankly, and suddenly, Mu Han raised his head, looked at Lu Zhizhi, smiled at him gently, and then disappeared again.

That night, Lu Zhizhi finally fell asleep, but he dreamed of Mu Han being hospitalized. At that time, he went to visit Mu Han, but Mu Han looked at him with cold eyes, mixed with fear and terror.

Lu Zhizhi suddenly woke up from his dream and looked around frantically, but Mu Han was nowhere to be found. Feeling lost, he slowly closed his eyes again. From then on, Lu Zhizhi's health deteriorated day by day.

Meanwhile, Mu Han gasped in agony. After an unknown amount of time, he slowly opened his eyes and found himself in the room he'd lived in since childhood. Mu Han froze for a moment, then smiled bitterly and said with a tone of grievance, "I'm already dead, how could I still be here? If I could start over, I'd never have anything to do with Lu Zhizhi again..."

After saying this, Mu Han slowly closed his eyes, thinking he was about to fall into endless darkness again. At this moment, his mother's familiar voice came from outside the door. Mu Han suddenly opened his eyes and looked around carefully. Seeing himself in the mirror, he actually looked like he did when he was 19 years old, and his right hand was intact.

Mom gently opened the door and walked in. She looked at Mu Han gently and said, "Hanhan, we are planning to go to the United States in a few days. What do you think?"

Mu Han finally came to his senses and looked at his mother and said, "Okay, when are we leaving?"

Mu Han's mother smiled and said gently, "We're leaving the day after tomorrow. You should make good preparations. If there's nothing else, I'll be out first."

After his mother left, Mu Han was the only one left in the room. He pondered for a long time, still unable to understand why he had returned to the age of 19. But then he thought, if he went to the United States earlier, he would no longer have anything to do with Lu Zhizhi.

Finally, the day of departure arrived. With mixed feelings, Mu Han happily left this place that held so many memories with his parents and headed to another strange and unknown place.
