Rebirth

Rebirth

Year after year passed quietly, and this year, Mu Han's memorial day arrived again. Lu Zhizhi arrived at the cemetery early. He sat there silently, drinking glass after glass of wine. After checking the time, he felt it was almost time to go back, so he slowly stood up and set off on his way home.

When he walked to the middle of the road, he suddenly saw Mu Han. Lu Zhizhi stopped in his tracks, his eyes fixed on Mu Han, staring at her silently, as if time had stopped for this moment.

At this moment, a car came rushing towards them like a wild horse.

With the shrill sound of brakes, Mu Han's figure slowly disappeared again. Lu Zhizhi slowly turned his head and looked at the speeding car. A relieved smile appeared on the corner of his mouth. Then he slowly closed his eyes and said softly, "Hanhan, I'm here to find you..."

With a loud bang, Lu Zhizhi was thrown out and landed heavily on the ground. He stared at the sky, his consciousness gradually fading. Soon, the sound of an ambulance siren approached, and he was rushed to the hospital and into the operating room.

On the operating table, Lu Zhizhi watched a group of doctors busy around him. The scene in front of him became more and more blurred until it fell into darkness.

However, after an unknown amount of time, Lu Zhizhi suddenly opened his eyes and was surprised to find himself in the company. He was full of confusion and thought to himself: "Shouldn't I be in the hospital? Why am I here? What is going on?"

At this moment, the assistant walked in leisurely and said, "Mr. Lu, I don't have any other plans this afternoon. It's Li's son's 18th birthday. Are you going?"

Lu Zhizhi was a little annoyed and asked with a frown: "What?"

After saying that, he hurriedly opened his phone to check the time, and found that it was the time when he and Mu Han first met. He pinched his hand hard, and felt a real pain, which confirmed that he was not dreaming. The assistant asked again: "Mr. Lu, are you going?"

Lu Zhizhi finally came to his senses and said quickly, "Go, go, go, go and get ready first. I'll go get ready too."

The assistant responded and turned to walk out. Lu Zhizhi checked his phone again to confirm, and then studied his face. It was clearly what he looked like when he was 22 years old. The thought of seeing Mu Han again in the evening filled him with joy, and he quickly dressed up carefully. This time, he was more attentive than in his previous life, striving to dress himself beautifully.

That evening, Lu Zhizhi arrived early at the place where he had met Mu Han in his previous life and wandered around for a long time. The party was already halfway through, but Lu Zhizhi still hadn't seen Mu Han. Unable to sit still any longer, he stood up and began to search around. However, by the end of the party, he still hadn't found anything.

Lu Zhizhi found the son of the Li family and asked him about the guest list for today. Lu Zhizhi looked around carefully and saw the names of Mu Han's family. He hurriedly asked, "Is the Mu family here today?"

The Li family's son said with a puzzled look: "I'm not sure about this, but they should be here."

Lu Zhizhi didn't say anything more and left the Li family's ancestral home in disappointment. All the way, he was thinking hard about where Mu Han had gone.

The next day, Lu Zhizhi arrived at the Mu family's ancestral home. He waited from morning until afternoon, and finally, around five in the afternoon, he saw someone slowly open the door to Mu Han's home. Seeing this, Lu Zhizhi immediately ran over, grabbed the person, and asked in an anxious and inquiring tone, "Hello, where did this family go?"

The person was an old lady in her forties or fifties. She replied calmly, "Gone."

Lu Zhizhi asked nervously, "Gone? Then do you know where they went?"

The old lady scratched her head and after thinking for a moment, she said, "It seems he went to the United States."

Lu Zhizhi asked anxiously again, "They went to America? Do you know where they went in America?"

The old lady scratched her head again and said helplessly: "I really don't know."

Lu Zhizhi looked disappointed and said softly, "I'm sorry to bother you."

Lu Zhizhi walked back in despair. The next day, as soon as he arrived at the company, he asked his assistant to check Mu Han's whereabouts. Lu Zhizhi waited anxiously until the afternoon, when the assistant finally arrived and said slowly, "Mr. Lu, the Mu family you asked me to check went to the United States half a month ago. As for their exact location, I really can't find it because they took a private plane."

Lu Zhizhi said irritably, "Then keep investigating until you find the answer!"

Meanwhile, a few days after Mu Han left, Han Yi arrived in the United States. He spent his days hanging out with Mu Han, spending their time there not only sightseeing but also painting together. That afternoon, Mu Han and Han Yi went to see Mr. Q's exhibition. Mu Han also brought one of his own paintings for Mr. Q to appreciate. Mr. Q was impressed and immediately introduced Mu Han to his master.

The master looked at Mu Han's painting with admiration in his eyes and asked kindly, "Your name is Mu Han, right?"

Mu Han was a little nervous and replied, "Yes, sir, you can call me Hanhan."

The master smiled and said, "Are you interested in being my second apprentice?"

Mu Han was overjoyed and said quickly, "I couldn't ask for more!"

Mr. Q's master smiled even more broadly and said, "Okay, from today on you are my apprentice, and Xiaohui is your senior brother."

From that day on, Mu Han often went to Mr. Q (Qin Hui) to study. Gradually, everyone knew that Mr. Q had a younger apprentice named LM, and many art lovers were eager to meet this mysterious LM.

The days go by, and in the blink of an eye, the year is about to pass.

On the day of the New Year's Eve dinner, Mu Han's home was filled with a joyful and peaceful atmosphere. Meanwhile, somewhere far away, someone (Lu Zhizhi) was drinking alone at home.

At this moment, Mu Han was in his studio, saying that he was preparing birthday gifts for everyone. Han Yi was curious and peeked through the crack of the door. As he was watching, the studio suddenly became dark. Han Yi felt something was wrong and was about to leave when he heard Mu Han's voice: "Xiao Yi, I told you, this is a gift. If you know it in advance, it's not a gift anymore. If you peek again, I won't give you a gift."

Han Yi responded with a smile: "Okay, okay, I won't watch it anymore, you continue."

Mu Han watched Han Yi's back as he slowly walked down the stairs, gently locked the door, and continued to concentrate on preparing gifts inside, with a mysterious and happy smile on his lips.
