Why don't you tell me?
After dinner, the two of them headed to the dance company together. Entering the lobby, the receptionist led them to a meeting room to wait. Not long after, a young, attractive female boss opened the door and took a seat with a bright smile. After a few conversations, her message was clear—she was very optimistic about Wen Cao and hoped he would join the company directly.
Wen Cao bowed slightly and said politely but firmly, "Thank you for your appreciation, but I want to strive for it with my own abilities."
The female boss laughed when she heard this, a hint of appreciation flashing in her eyes. "Great! I appreciate your enthusiasm. See you at the stadium at the end of this month."
After saying that, she stood up and left. The two of them also said goodbye. Wen Cao said she had something else to do and left first. Mu Han only then remembered that he had to go to his master Qi Siyi, and his pace could not help but quicken.
As soon as he arrived at his master's house, Mu Han saw a familiar figure and asked in shock: "Master, why is Mr. Edward here?"
Siyi Qi sat at the tea table and smiled calmly: "He has something to ask me. Hanhan, what brings you here?"
Mu Han calmed himself down and said slowly, "You said last time that you had something to tell me when I came back."
Qi MC glanced at Edward, who immediately stood up and said politely, "You guys chat, I'll be out for a while."
After Edward left, Master Qi slowly spoke: "Hanhan, I plan to leave here, and I probably won't be back often in the future. From now on, just live your life in peace."
Mu Han's heart tightened, and he quickly asked, "Master, is it because of Mr. Edward?"
Qi Siyi smiled and shook his head: "No, I want to leave on my own. I've already told Xiaoyi about it."
Seeing that his master had made up his mind, Mu Han stopped asking questions and just said gently and politely, "Where are you going?"
Qi Siyi looked towards the door and said slowly, "It's not decided yet, just walk around and have some fun."
After Mu Han said goodbye to his master solemnly, he turned around and went back home. As soon as he entered the house, he saw Wen Cao waiting in the living room. Wen Cao raised his eyes and smiled, and said slowly: "Han Han, someone just sent you something. I didn't open it to read it, so I put it on the table in your room."
Mu Han responded and went straight upstairs. On the table in the room sat an exquisite box. He opened it and saw a necklace inlaid with colorful diamonds, gleaming brightly. He stared at it for a moment, then put the box away in a drawer before slowly descending the stairs.
Wen Cao saw him coming down and asked with a smile, "What did you send?"
Mu Han smiled and said slowly, "It's a necklace. I guess it was sent to the wrong person."
Wen Cao nodded in understanding and added, "By the way, I have to go to dance practice tomorrow morning, so I might not be back all day."
Mu Han responded gently: "What a coincidence, I also have to go to the studio tomorrow and I have something to do."
The two smiled at each other, the atmosphere warm. However, after that day, their meetings gradually became less frequent. Sometimes Mu Han would be busy at the studio until late at night, and sometimes Wen Cao would be practicing dance until the early hours of the morning. Their respective paths of life seemed to be quietly diverging.
That day, Mu Han was searching for inspiration in the studio when Luo Wanghan suddenly rushed in excitedly and shouted, "Brother Han, it's snowing! Go out and take a look!"
Mu Han was infected by his mood and walked happily outside with Luo Wanghan. Snowflakes fell softly, and Mu Han stretched out his hand, wanting to catch the cold petals, but the snowflakes immediately turned into water droplets when they touched his palm.
He simply sat under the eaves, quietly watching the snow fall, his thoughts drifting away with the snowflakes. At this moment, his cell phone rang. It was a message from Lu Zhizhi: [Hanhan, it’s snowing, I want to watch the snow with you]
Mu Han stared at the message for a moment without replying. He slowly turned off the phone screen and continued to look at the falling snow, as if he wanted to carve this whiteness into his eyes.
Back home that night, Mu Han lay in bed, feeling the month had flown by so quickly that it was already the end of the month. He picked up his phone and casually scrolled through his social media feed when he stumbled upon a few selfies posted by Bai Zihan. In the photos, Bai Zihan was wearing a unique bracelet, especially the ruby inlaid on it, which was particularly eye-catching.
Mu Han's heart moved - why did this bracelet look so much like the one Lu Zhizhi had bought at the auction last time? He suddenly realized why Lu Zhizhi had spent so much money on it; it turned out he was buying it for Bai Zihan.
As he thought about it, he became more and more tired and fell asleep unknowingly.
A few days later, Wen Cao's interview finally arrived. Many people showed up, and Wen Cao was the first to take the stage. He performed a classical dance with smooth, flowing movements, a blend of strength and softness. In just ten minutes, he successfully passed the assessment.
Mu Han specially wanted to celebrate for Wen Cao. As soon as the two of them got into the car, Mu Han picked up his mobile phone to check the news, and a headline caught his eye - "The Mu family is about to be taken down by the Jiang family."
Mu Han's expression instantly became serious, and he said to Wen Cao, "Xiao Cao, I have to go to my dad's company. It's urgent. Sorry."
Wen Cao asked worriedly, "Did something happen?"
Mu Han gently soothed him, "It's nothing serious. Go back and wait for me. I'll come find you after I'm done."
After saying that, he immediately got out of the car and drove to his father's company. When he arrived at the company, he didn't see his father and Han Yi. His father's assistant said they were in a meeting. Mu Han waited anxiously in his father's office. After a long time, his father finally pushed the door open and came in.
Mu Han immediately went up to him and said nervously, "Dad, such a big thing happened, why didn't you tell me?"
My father's face was full of fatigue and helplessness: "What's the use of telling you? This is my life's work!"
Mu Han hurriedly took out a card and said slowly, "Dad, there are 300 million in it. You can use it first. If it's not enough, I will find a way."
The father looked at the card, then at his son's determined eyes, and his eyes gradually became moist. Mu Han said gently: "Okay, you go and do your work first. Next time something big like this happens, you must tell me, otherwise I will really be angry."
His father nodded with emotion, turned around and hurried to continue the meeting. Mu Han finally breathed a sigh of relief and walked out of the company slowly, but in his mind he was thinking about how to deal with this crisis next.
