Chapter 1099 Black and White Face

Mr. Liang's face was full of smiles as he addressed Lu Feng as "little brother." In his eyes, Lu Feng was just a greenhorn, too young and too naive.

Mr. Liang was willing to believe it, mainly because the background Lu Feng had created for him in the past two days was too 'perfect'. According to Lu Feng, his father was a traditional rubber producer, and although his learning ability was average, he still went to study in the United States thanks to his excellent birth.

After returning to China, he felt that his father's industry was too outdated, so he decided to get into the electronics industry. He wanted to make not only mobile phones, but also communications. He boasted at the dinner table that he could rival the world's top manufacturers! He was just a hothead, relying entirely on his own imagination.

As Mr. Liang watched Lu Feng drive away, the smile on his face faded. He really enjoyed dealing with young people like him. Young people always naively believed that everything would go smoothly, paying no attention to the details and completely immersed in their own imaginations.

As long as I help him refine his fantasy, I'll basically make the money.

"Rubber King?" Mr. Liang muttered to himself, thinking to himself that if his son didn't have much ability in the future, he would rather let him be a playboy than start his own business.

When Lu Feng and his group returned to their residence, it was almost 10 p.m. After going upstairs, General Manager Zhang looked around and said, "General Manager Lu, if there's nothing else, I'll head back now. You should all get some rest too; the order isn't something that can be resolved in just a few days."

"Okay, Mr. Zhang, you've worked hard too." Lu Feng said politely, then asked, "Did Mr. Liang contact you privately?"

Seeing Lu Feng's inquisitive look, General Manager Zhang couldn't help but laugh and said, "Do you think you could have avoided me? You just want me to talk to you a bit more and analyze things for you from an engineer's perspective."

"The two of them were quite good at playing along today. If that one hadn't gone a bit overboard, I would have thought it was just an internal power struggle within the company," Zhu Lidong said.

"These people in business will use every trick in the book to sell a few items," Liu Cheng said seriously. "I don't like dealing with them; they're so fake!"

It's not Zhang Zong's place to teach Lu Feng how to do business. He smiled and said, "Get some rest and we'll continue tomorrow."

"Okay, you should get some rest too." Lu Feng said a few polite words and personally escorted President Zhang downstairs.

When Lu Feng returned and saw Zhu Lidong still sitting on a sofa, deep in thought, he went over and said, "Go to sleep early, don't make any noises or anything like that at night."

"President Lu, I've been thinking about something," Zhu Lidong asked with a serious expression. "Do you think President Zhang is reliable?"

Zhu Lidong's concerns were understandable, but Lu Feng had no reason to worry and said, "Don't worry, this person is definitely fine."

"Are you so sure?" Zhu Lidong was somewhat skeptical.

"He still wants to go back to the mainland to build a factory. He's an ambitious person, so don't overthink it." Lu Feng patted his shoulder and told him to go back and rest early.

The following morning, inside the TSMC building, a man in his sixties sat in the chairman's office. He was dressed in a suit and had a rather good demeanor, but his hair was gray, indicating that he was no longer young.

General Manager Liang and General Manager Cai stood opposite each other at the desk and gave a brief report on their exchanges with Kuntai over the past two days. After listening, Zhang Zhongmou frowned slightly, looked up and asked, "Is the rubber business really that profitable now? Even at a price of $150, a $1 million order would amount to $150 million. Do you really think you can let a greenhorn who just returned from abroad mess things up?"

General Manager Liang and General Manager Cai exchanged a glance, unsure of the chairman's intentions.

“I really need to meet him. The international situation is unstable right now, and complete sets of products are severely restricted. If these products flow into some countries, we will be held accountable,” Zhang Zhongmou said, expressing his concerns.

"That is indeed a problem. We still need to investigate their background. They have hundreds of millions of US dollars. They are not ordinary rich kids. I have never heard of such a thing before," President Cai said thoughtfully.

“Your plan is quite good. The other party is really a hothead. We should still do this deal. But remember one thing: don’t always fantasize about something falling from the sky, and don’t fantasize about things going smoothly.” Zhang Zhongmou thought for a moment and said, “Let’s meet in the afternoon, have some tea, and talk about other things.”

Zhang Zhongmou's considerations were more sophisticated. It was strange that such a large order suddenly fell from the sky. In addition, he had more than 30 years of experience at Texas Instruments, where he rose to the top of the group and was quite knowledgeable about international affairs.

When the phone rang, Lu Feng immediately sensed something was wrong. The agreed-upon location wasn't a conference room, but a teahouse—not a place to discuss business.

Lu Feng and Zhu Lidong discussed it and both felt that something was wrong, so they hurriedly called Zhang Rujing.

"What does it mean that he asked me to meet at a teahouse? Haven't you heard what he's planning to do?" Lu Feng asked into the phone.

"I really don't know. Should we find a more relaxed place to communicate better?"

"I think it's possible that during the conversation, the other person sensed something. You must attend this afternoon as well. If the conversation touches on any points that require corroboration, please help me prove them." Lu Feng had already guessed what would happen.

After explaining the situation, Lu Feng hung up the phone and said to Zhu Lidong and Liu Cheng, "You two shouldn't go this afternoon. The more people there are, the easier it will be for them to spot our secrets. This chairman might guess that my identity is not right and wants to chat for a while this afternoon."

Zhu Lidong was also taken aback by these words. He hadn't really thought that much about it and exclaimed, "What an old fox playing tricks on a young fox! He's got some tricks up his sleeve!"
