"Sea transport?" Sirami asked, somewhat puzzled. "Your country has a long coastline, so how could you lack sea transport?"
"Hahahaha!" Lu Feng laughed and said jokingly, "They're not very capable. You should talk to Maha about this. I also hope this trip goes smoothly."
"I don't know much about shipping either, so I don't know how to explain it," Sirami said awkwardly.
"Simple. Just say that Thailand and the United States are partners. Although the relationship is close, a close neighbor is worse than a distant relative. After all, China is right next door, and sometimes we can't be too rigid," Lu Feng instructed.
Lu Feng discussed the international relations involved with her, essentially implying to Maha that he was very influential in the country and was not just a simple businessman.
The meal lasted until after 2 p.m., and Lu Feng had a heart-to-heart talk with Sirami about how to win over people like Songpa, how to keep businessmen around to do things for him, how to use their strengths against them, and how to become a useful person if you want to secure your position.
Around 3 p.m., Sirami left by car. Lu Feng returned to his room and rested briefly before attending a banquet that evening.
Lu Feng knew all too well what kind of banquet this was like; it was practically the embodiment of the phrase "a mountain of wine and meat," filled with all sorts of vulgar and boring games and insulting behavior. Sometimes, Lu Feng didn't like these kinds of occasions abroad.
At seven o'clock in the evening, it was still bright outside. A Mercedes-Benz was already parked downstairs. Lu Feng changed his clothes, went downstairs, got in the car, and headed straight for the winery.
Before it was completely dark, all the lights in the manor were already on. Dozens of people were gathered in the small square with the fountain in front of the gate. All kinds of beautiful women were chatting and laughing together, and every now and then there was a burst of noise. Several fat men who looked like businessmen were standing there taking advantage of the situation.
Some games had already started, but Lu Feng wasn't interested in playing them. He walked through the courtyard and found an artificial beach inside, where bikini-clad beauties were playing beach volleyball with a few people.
One of the little girls said a few words to Lu Feng in English, and the translator next to her said that she wanted Lu Feng to come and play together.
"No, I'm not good at sports!" Lu Feng waved his hand and refused.
The girl's gaze swept over Lu Feng. She often attended these kinds of parties and knew that big shots usually wouldn't come at this time. However, seeing that Lu Feng was accompanied by a translator and bodyguards, she knew he wasn't an ordinary person. She quickly waved to her friends who could speak Chinese and followed Lu Feng to the lounge area.
"Mr. Lu, the banquet is about to begin. Prince Maha has not yet arrived. Would you like to go to your room to rest, or stay here?" the waiter asked.
"Let's stay here. There'll be a buffet later, so I'll grab something to eat. Call me when Prince Maha arrives."
Lu Feng looked at the manor, which covered a considerable area. He didn't care about the theme or who organized it tonight, but there were indeed a few very attractive women there.
The girl just walked over and chatted with Lu Feng for a bit, introducing herself quite naturally. Then she started talking non-stop, and the one who couldn't speak Chinese was also chatting away with the translator.
Unlike other businessmen who focus on a woman's chest, Lu Feng noticed that these girls were young but very good at chatting, quickly building rapport with each other through laughter and jokes.
As night fell, the crowd grew larger, and various kinds of music filled the air. A large group of chefs also pushed out their food. Lu Feng took a bite casually and continued to wait for Maha out of boredom, while also watching these people go crazy, drinking upside down, taking a beer bath naked, and smoking in bizarre ways.
There are no humans here, only monkeys.
Around 9 p.m., the restless crowd suddenly quieted down. A few barks could be heard in the distance, followed by a man leading a huge wolfhound, a cigar in his mouth, surrounded by a dozen or so people. Sirami was right behind him.
As Maha appeared, everyone present, whether dressed or not, rushed forward to exchange pleasantries, creating a rather comical scene. Lu Feng, sitting to the side, thought to himself, "If someone took a picture of this with a smartphone and posted it online, it would definitely be explosive world news."
Unfortunately, everyone who goes out to have fun has to abide by one rule: no taking pictures!
