Chapter 12 What Did I Miss?

Lu Feng, you know I've been alone for years. At the end of the day, I'm just a woman. If a pipe breaks, I can't even fix it myself. Ultimately, I need to find a man to rely on.

He Yanli placed one hand on Lu Feng's shoulder, her eyes alluring, and whispered, "Women are like flowers; they need men to nourish them, otherwise the flower will wither. I also know that your relationship with Jiang Xiaoyan is only in name..."

"How did you know? What? Were you eavesdropping?"

"Everyone in this building knows that my sister doesn't want anything, she just wants a shoulder to lean on," He Yanli said, sitting on Lu Feng's lap.

Lu Feng smiled when he heard this, and reached out to pick her up.

He Yanli was very excited, her charming eyes sparkling as she reached out and wrapped her arms around Lu Feng's neck, eagerly anticipating what would happen next.

However, Lu Feng picked her up and threw her onto the bed. Standing by the bed, he looked at the puddles at his feet and said coldly, "Wow, there's a lot of water. You'd better clean it up first!"

Watching Lu Feng leave, He Yanli was furious. Was this guy out of his mind? He wouldn't even take what was offered to him for free. Didn't he say he would spend money to go out and patronize prostitutes?

Lu Feng had no time to waste on He Yanli. Even if he were to have an affair, he wouldn't be interested in someone like her. Right now, the most important thing to him was the jar.

Yesterday I learned some things about glass bottle factories from Zhou Jianguo. The unit price of canned food jars can be reduced to as low as one cent.

The weather was rather hot today, so Lu Feng wore only a shirt. He found Da Tou, got on the bicycle, and headed straight for the printing shop.

"Brother Feng, what are you doing at the print shop?" Da Tou asked, puzzled.

"Go and get some information for yourself!"

"What are you up to now?" Da Tou sensed that Lu Feng had changed a lot recently. The old Feng Ge was just like him, simple and honest, and very loyal. But now he was unpredictable. To Da Tou, Lu Feng was as deep as the ocean.

"Don't ask so many questions, Big Head, what kind of work do you do now?"

"Farming? My family has forty acres of land, and the granary is always overflowing every year!" Da Tou said, his face beaming with happiness. For a young man like him who only graduated from elementary school, farming is the best choice.

Lu Feng recalls that the migrant worker wave only emerged in the mid-1990s. They don't have many choices now; at most, they can only go to the city to play every day.

"Big Head, can you help Brother Feng out for a few days?"

"No problem, I'm strong and I can do anything quickly!" Big Head said honestly.

There are only a few printing shops in the city, and the demand for printing services is currently low. The owner, a young man, asked without looking up when Lu Feng entered, "What do you want?"

"I'd like to print some documents, and also, could you combine them into a few photos?" Lu Feng asked.

"Composite photos are expensive, 50 cents each, typesetting costs 50 cents, and printing a single sheet costs 5 cents." The shopkeeper's voice was lazy and arrogant, as if he were superior to others.

"Five cents for a photo?" Big Head exclaimed. "Go to a photo studio, a family photo is only three cents!"

"Are you going to do it or not? If not, get out!"

This service attitude made Lu Feng frown a little, but this kind of service is considered high-end now, so it's normal for the boss to be arrogant. Standing next to him was a young girl of about eighteen or nineteen, looking at the boss with a face full of admiration.

"Let's go with this price."

Fortunately, Lu Feng didn't hand over the money that Station Chief Wang gave him to his wife last night, otherwise it would have been awkward today.

At three o'clock in the afternoon, Lu Feng came out with a folder in his hand. Da Tou said painfully, "Just this little thing, and you charged three yuan? That's robbery!"

"This is still typesetting with a typewriter; if it were done on a computer, it would be even more expensive!"

"Brother Feng, what's a computer?"

“Um…” Lu Feng didn’t know how to explain it to him, so he could only say, “With your IQ, it’s hard for me to explain it to you clearly.”

"Is it an electric head?" Big Head asked curiously.

Lu Feng nodded, not wanting to dwell on the matter any longer, and looked at Da Tou, saying, "From now on, you'll call me President Lu, understand?"

"ah?"

"Just remember that, okay?"

Although Da Tou didn't know what he wanted to do, he still nodded. Recently, he had become increasingly fond of Lu Feng, looking at him as if he were an idol.

I rode my bike straight to the glass factory.

The security guard at the glass factory looked at the two men and asked, "What are you two doing here?"

"I'm looking for your boss!"

"Who are you? What do you do?"

"We are a cannery and we want to order a batch of canning bottles."

A few minutes later, Lu Feng sat down in a reception room and said to Da Tou next to him, "Remember what I said. Also, when I put this folder on the table later, don't take it, okay?"

Big Head nodded very seriously.

The door opened, and a man in his forties walked in, wearing a gray suit that was somewhat oversized. He looked at Lu Feng and said, "You two want to order canned food jars?"

"Hello, I am the person in charge of Jiaming Canned Food Co., Ltd., my name is Lu Feng!" Lu Feng stretched out his hand, stood there with his body straight, and for a moment his aura was even more arrogant than the other party's.

Big Head stared wide-eyed at Lu Feng, full of doubt. How did Brother Feng become someone in charge again?

Da Tou discovered that no matter what identity Lu Feng claimed to have, the aura and confidence he exuded always made people believe him in an instant. Even Da Tou couldn't tell if he was lying or telling the truth.

For a businessman, lying without blushing is the most basic professional quality!

The other party dared not be negligent and hurriedly extended his hand to shake hands, saying, "I am Zhao Buhuan, the general manager of this glass factory. Please have a seat, Mr. Lu."
