Chapter 12 What Did I Miss?

After they were both seated, Mr. Zhao spoke first: "You want to customize these canning jars? Didn't I know you brought your design drawings?"

"Let's not customize for now, just order the canning jars you produce in bulk. We'll customize some products later," Lu Feng said bluntly. "What are your prices like?"

"Mr. Lu, as you know, prices depend on volume; larger quantities naturally lead to more negotiable prices."

“However, I don’t need a large quantity in the early stages. Can you bring down the price? The quantity will be very large later.” Lu Feng pondered for a while and said, “Let me put it this way, the production will be very large in the future. Right now, we are just exploring suppliers. If we cooperate well, we will talk to you when the demand is large in the future.”

Mr. Zhao smiled when he heard this. Everyone who came to talk to him said the same thing. He then asked, "How much volume do you have each month?"

"Several thousand!"

"We'll pay three cents each, but if demand increases later, we can discuss it further."

Three cents?

Lu Feng's target price was one cent, but the cost had tripled, which was unacceptable to him. After thinking for a moment, he asked, "Can the payment be settled monthly?"

Mr. Zhao had already lost interest; monthly settlement was out of the question. He stood up and said, "Let's forget it. I have other things to do and can't keep you company any longer."

“Alright, I’ll talk to other factories.” Lu Feng stood up and said to Da Tou, “Go and drive the car over first.”

Da Tou paused for a moment, then went out in silence. Lu Feng exchanged a few polite words with President Zhao, then went out the door. He walked very slowly, feeling a little uneasy, and secretly thought, "Hurry up and come after me, hurry up!"

Zhao Buhuan looked at Lu Feng with a hint of disdain. Trying to trick him out of his money? It was ridiculous. Just as he was about to return to his office, he suddenly noticed a folder on his desk.

He picked it up and glanced at it, and was shocked. Inside the folder was an investment assessment report, which began: "Hong Kong Island Anstone Food Group's Research and Assessment on Investing in the Mainland Market."

First, assess market risks, conduct pilot production, and integrate the local supply chain. If feasible, invest $300 million over the next three years to build a large-scale factory with an annual output of over one million canned goods.

This internal research report is extremely comprehensive, detailing everything from market research, consumer spending assessment, canned food taste survey, brand building, product development to the intensity of market competition.

Zhao Buhuan became increasingly alarmed as he read on. Such a comprehensive report could not be forged by an ordinary person; even he could not write it. As he flipped through the folder, several photos fell out.

The first photo showed several men in suits with a building behind them that read "Anste Group Building." Lu Feng was prominently featured in the photo. The second photo, which made Zhao Buhuan's legs go weak, was a group photo with a man in his sixties or seventies wearing glasses.

"Jiacheng?"

"My God!" Zhao Buhuan cried out, covering his head with his hands. "What did I miss?"

After saying that, he rushed out the door, determined to bring Lu Feng back!
