This scene was so shocking to the others in the group; it was an unheard-of wonder, yet it happened just like that.
"Every single one of you involved in the fight is expelled!!" Du Guoying roared angrily at the group. "Pack your things and get out of here right now!"
"You think you can just tell us to get out?" a square-faced man yelled. "Who do you think you are? Is this company yours? What the hell are you, a mere employee, acting so high and mighty about?"
The others also looked indignant, clearly confident in Goodley's power.
Goodley struggled to his feet and was helped up from the ground. He said to Lu Feng, "You'll never get rid of them in your lifetime. Let me tell you, the R&D company can't be split up, and you can forget about transferring your villas and planes!"
"We'll see!" Lu Feng retorted, seeing how blunt he had been. "You want me to leave with nothing? You're dreaming!!"
Goodley didn't say much, and led his men out with their legs tucked together. His most important thing now was to get checked out so that he wouldn't get kicked out and cause any problems.
The scene was extremely quiet. A dozen or so security guards stood to the side, unsure whether to leave or not. They had never seen anything like this in their lives.
"Those who are not important, get out!" Lu Feng said coldly.
The group walked outside. Lu Feng pulled up a chair, sat down, lit a cigarette, looked at the others, and said, "It seems this breakup won't be easy. We need to be mentally prepared."
Zhu Lidong, standing to the side, pointed out the crux of the problem, saying, "This year's board meeting must be held first, and then the management's equity representatives must be selected."
“That’s right, otherwise we wouldn’t stand a chance in the board meeting vote,” Du Guoying said from the side.
Lu Feng's key to controlling the company lies in the 30% equity stake held by the management team. If Goodley appoints his own people, Lu Feng's voting rights will be reduced to only 30%, putting him at a significant disadvantage.
Lu Feng listened to these suggestions without saying anything, but silently stood up and walked out of the meeting room. Everyone knew about the board meeting; the question was how to pull the strings.
As the rotating president, Du Guoying immediately notified HR to fire those department managers, and the person on the other end of the phone readily agreed.
However, it was only in the next few days that Du Guoying realized the extent to which the management of the group headquarters had been infiltrated. The human resources department carried out orders from above and dismissed several people, but dismissal also had to go through procedures. According to the group's regulations, multiple departments' signatures were required for dismissal.
This signature is problematic. The ideas of those above cannot be implemented at all below. Du Guoying has lost his temper several times, but they just use the group's regulations as an excuse. These regulations were all made by you senior executives.
Using rules to subtly confront higher-ups drove the entire senior management team to the brink of madness.
In just a few days, the story of the company secretary leading a fight with the founder has spread throughout the industry. Everyone who heard about it was dumbfounded. This was no longer a novelty, but an astonishment.
A week had passed when Lu Feng, sitting at home, received a call from Wei Yandan, who briefly explained the situation.
“Continue to push for the dismissal of those individuals. At the same time, if anyone refuses to sign, using the process as an excuse, deduct all their performance-based pay and take away their stock incentive rewards. Expedite the authorization agreement process for the R&D company and have all those responsible for signing at the group headquarters suspend their current work and gather together to sign.”
"At the same time, for some supervisors who use personal leave or sick leave as an excuse, we will use a seal instead of a signature. All procedures must be completed before November. For those who are unwilling to resign and resist in various ways, we will post a dismissal notice, seal off their office, and have all their personal belongings thrown out."
"I'm telling you, I don't care about any consequences right now; I have to push this through as soon as possible."
Lu Feng was unusually stern on the phone. He didn't want to waste any more time, even if it might cause chaos in the management. But once November was over, Lu Feng was certain that John would definitely hold a vote on the management's equity representatives ahead of schedule.
By then it was too late. When Wei Yandan, Zhu Lidong, Du Guoying, and their ilk could no longer vote on the board of directors, Lu Feng's career was truly over.
Some media outlets began to notice Jiafeng's internal situation and started reporting on it, but even bigger news was on its way.
In the afternoon, notices were posted on the routes everyone took, both at the group's new headquarters building and the original offices, regarding the dismissal of six management members, led by Li Wenlong, as well as several group department managers.
At the same time the announcement was posted, these people's offices were cleared out, and some even got into pushing and shoving, causing chaos within the group.
Around 4 p.m., people started displaying banners and blocking the relocation of departments in both headquarters buildings, and even called in reporters.
"Jiafeng Group illegally dismissed its employees, withheld wages, and hired thugs to beat people! Give me back my hard-earned money!!!" The loudspeaker kept repeating.
Two people were lying under a truck already loaded with office supplies. Most of the department was standing there watching the spectacle. The supplies had already been loaded onto the truck, so they couldn't go to the new building and couldn't start working. They would just watch the spectacle for a while and then get their wages.
Facing the reporter's camera, one of the department heads said emotionally, "The group's boss, Lu Feng, illegally fired us. We all own company shares, and these people have a combined share dividend of over a million yuan, which he just refuses to give us. Lu Feng is a heartless capitalist!!!"
Reporters tried to enter to conduct interviews but were stopped by security guards. The scene was chaotic, with constant verbal abuse and shoving.
As the matter gained wider media attention, it began to make headlines. Zhu Lidong gave several interviews to reporters to explain the situation, but the internal management had differing opinions.
