Chapter 1206 Asphyxiation Therapy shuhaige.net

"You're welcome. I'm just tied up with some company business right now. Otherwise, I could come over and oversee things in person. Please call me if you have any questions." Lu Feng finished his pleasantries before hanging up.

Sitting back on the sofa, Lu Feng had no idea where Thailand's fate would lead—whether it would be better than history or be completely ruined by its own actions. Nobody knew.

It's already early November, and the internal demand within Jiafeng Group to re-select management equity representatives has become increasingly intense. The day before yesterday, a conflict broke out when two middle managers got into a fight with security guards, resulting in bloodshed.

The outside world continues to hurl insults at Lu Feng, with some even saying that Lu Feng is simply trying to prevent Jiafeng from becoming a foreign-invested enterprise, that he doesn't care about the future of Jiafeng's hundreds of thousands of employees, and that he's only trying to satisfy his own power. Such remarks have even garnered a lot of support.

On November 17, 1996, a strike occurred at Jiafeng's Suzhou factory. Thousands of people surrounded the factory gate demanding workers' rights. Local police were dispatched. After some mediation, Lu Feng replied to the factory manager that he agreed to restore the full attendance bonus, but did not agree to the original proposal of 50 cents per piece for piecework, and maintained the price of 30 cents per piece.

On November 18, Goodley gave a media interview, in which he, on behalf of the Schroders Group, accused Lu Feng of being ruthless and domineering. He claimed that Lu Feng had taken $3.5 billion from the Schroders Group but manipulated shareholders on the board of directors, pretending to retire but actually controlling every step of the company.

He transferred large sums of corporate funds overseas to convert them into personal assets, was involved in organized crime, assaulted others, and set up a brothel within the group to wantonly exploit the beautiful female employees and senior executives within the company. He was practically a local tyrant who controlled everything.

After the interview, he announced within the group that day that, in accordance with the group's past practice, the formal vote would be held the next day. It would not require the board of directors' approval; as long as the stamp was affixed, the vote would be deemed legal.

In the evening, Lu Feng sat at home watching an interview on TV. Jiang Xiaoyan sighed and said, "This matter has blown up too much. You can't fight it. No matter what, your reputation is ruined now."

"Trying to get rid of me? Not so easy," Lu Feng said in a low voice.

"Then they'll vote tomorrow, and it'll be stamped with the group's seal. What are you going to say? You were the one who made it effective before, firing all those managers." Jiang Xiaoyan glanced at Lu Feng and said, "Let's talk. I've been out having dinner with people these past few days, and some of them know about my relationship with you and have been asking me about it privately."

"Just say we haven't been in touch for years, it won't affect you. It's just the company seal, I already talked to Zhu Lidong this afternoon." Lu Feng said expressionlessly, "Go to headquarters tomorrow, grab the seal!"

The next morning, the area in front of the group's headquarters was packed with people. Some people on vacation even came to watch the spectacle. There were all sorts of banners downstairs, and people who didn't know the situation might have thought there was some kind of event going on.

Many people in the crowd were whispering among themselves. The most common opinion was that there was a problem with the location of the headquarters building. The feng shui was bad, and the group started to decline as soon as it moved in. Despite all the commotion, there was still no solution.

At 9:30 a.m., Lu Feng's car was parked in the parking lot. Wei Yandan and her group had arrived long ago. Security guards were maintaining order in front of them, and there were even several armed police vehicles parked on the roadside.

Lu Feng entered the company through a side door. As he was taking the elevator, he heard someone outside using a megaphone to shout that six candidates had been brought out for management to vote on. Security guards were pushing and shoving each other.

"Do you still have the company seals?" Lu Feng asked Wei Yandan.

“They should all be here, but these people aren’t listening to a word we say right now. They’re completely out of control. Goodley has taken control of the core power of the group,” Wei Yandan said helplessly. “Even if we go to get the company seal, they won’t give it to us!”

"Take it? Why would I take it? I'm here to rob it!" Lu Feng said in a deep voice.

Upon reaching the top floor, the president's office, Lu Feng stepped out. Zhu Lidong and Du Guoying were both there. Lu Feng looked at the two of them and said, "Collect the official seals from each department!"

"Just the few of us? I'm afraid we can't win, can we?" Zhu Lidong asked with some doubt.

"A bunch of chickens and dogs, how many of them are really risking their lives? All this commotion is just a fuss." Lu Feng waved his hand and said, "Let's go!"
