Liu Cheng had a difficult time negotiating with Sharp. The other party hoped that Lu Feng could come forward, as this would show more sincerity and some issues could be discussed on the spot. Just as Lu Feng was preparing to head to Japan, he discovered that the UK's global arrest warrant for him was still in effect there.
Having no choice but to abandon his trip, Lu Feng hoped that the other party's president could come to Hong Kong, but Sharp refused.
On May 1st, Duoduo had a holiday, and Lu Feng promised to go back to see her. After making some simple arrangements, Lu Feng returned to Shenzhen that day.
After taking Duoduo out for a big meal, Lu Feng learned that Jiang Xiaoyan hadn't returned for over a month. He called her and the two had a heated argument.
“Mom is very busy. I can take care of myself. She said she will come back after this busy period and once the northern market stabilizes. Now is the time to make a breakthrough.” Duoduo said with a somewhat sad expression as she sat across from me.
“No matter how busy she is, her primary responsibility is still your mother.” Lu Feng sighed and said, “She’s already half-mad. Besides, her factory is so big, with high investment and a tight cash flow. Trying to launch a blitzkrieg would be tantamount to suicide!”
"Mom says low prices can kill all competitors!" Duoduo retorted.
"Kill yourself first!" Lu Feng said to her, "Why don't you transfer schools and come to Hong Kong with me? I'll arrange a school for you!"
Duo Duo hesitated and said, "I don't understand Cantonese!"
Lu Feng thought about it and agreed. They couldn't understand the language or customs there, and the child was still young. If they were to transfer the child there rashly, the child might be ostracized by classmates, and the child's studies would definitely plummet.
"Then Daddy will take you to Hong Kong for a few days. Daddy won't do anything else during this time, I'll just spend time with you!" Lu Feng smiled at her and said, "Okay?"
"Okay!!" The little guy seemed to have regained some of his energy.
When you treat Duoduo well, she's so clever that it's annoying. But when she loses the warmth of home, her sudden state is heartbreaking. Just now, her appearance reminded Lu Feng of many years ago when she clung to Jiang Xiaoyan's leg, looking at him with fear in her eyes.
In the afternoon, Lu Feng got Duo Duo a passport, and the two bought ferry tickets to return to Hong Kong.
In Tianjin, Jiang Xiaoyan hadn't rested for over ten hours. She looked ashen-faced and kept a close eye on the market, marketing, and products. She had been working non-stop since production began.
"Getting through to the supply and marketing cooperatives is your top priority. If you can't get through to them in Shandong, don't bother coming back. Just pack your bags and go home." After saying that, Jiang Xiaoyan asked her assistant, "Have you booked your plane tickets?"
"It's all booked, Mr. Jiang. Why don't you rest a bit before going back? Your flight won't land until 1 a.m.," the assistant advised. "There's a morning flight tomorrow."
"I'll take tonight's shift!"
At 10 p.m., Jiang Xiaoyan forced herself to board the plane. Before takeoff, she called home, but no one answered. She began to worry, realizing that she had been so busy lately that she had forgotten about Duoduo.
Feeling anxious and annoyed, I fell asleep without realizing it.
"Madam! Madam! The plane has landed, please disembark!" The flight attendant gently shook Jiang Xiaoyan's body.
Jiang Xiaoyan woke up with a start, looking a little better. She staggered to her feet and got off the plane. It was past 2 a.m. when she got home. She opened Duoduo's room and found that Duoduo was not there.
Then she opened her relative's room and found her fast asleep in bed. Jiang Xiaoyan couldn't hold back any longer, went up to her, pulled her up, and asked, "Where's Duoduo? What time is it? Where's the child?"
The relative woke up with a start and replied, "Lu Feng is gone. Why are you grabbing my clothes? Don't you respect me as your elder?"
"Did you make this big stew on the table downstairs? Is this all you feed the child? Didn't I already tell you? You cooked for the child, and her father took her away. Didn't you even call me? What are you doing?"
Jiang Xiaoyan completely broke down, screaming shrilly at the person in front of her, no longer caring that the other person was an elder.
"I'm not putting up with this anymore. Go find someone else if you want. Why should I put up with this? Jiang Xiaoyan, let me tell you, I'm going to go back and have a good talk with your mother about how you treated me!"
