"Which department do you think you're in charge of? What did you do? Did you get into a fight?" The man looked at Lu Feng with hostility and shouted, "If anyone gets into a fight again, you won't get paid, and you'll be kicked out that day, understand?"
"There was no fight. This girl wanted to file a complaint with the HR department. During production this afternoon, a fuse was installed incorrectly, causing the entire machine to be scrapped. The girl said she didn't install it. That's all," Lu Feng said calmly.
"What's it to you? Get lost!"
“If you disagree with the decisions of your supervisors at any level, you can appeal to the Human Resources Department. Whether or not to dismiss someone is not up to the supervisors at any level; they have the power to report to higher authorities.” Lu Feng asked him, “Are you the deputy general manager of the Human Resources Department?”
Mr. Liao stood there straightening his wrinkled suit. If he were the vice president, he would have been incredibly powerful long ago. He was just a supervisor in charge of the production plant.
There are many new hires and many interviewees here, so the pressure is high every month, which leads to a rather rough handling of things.
"Never mind what kind of boss I am, why are you spouting so much nonsense? Are you done talking?"
"That's all!"
"Get out of here after you've finished speaking." After a moment's thought, General Manager Liao asked, "Which department are you from? What's your name?"
"My name is Lu Feng. I don't have a department at the moment!"
"No department? Are you from our factory?" General Manager Liao said to the people behind him, "Go and find the security guards."
"This isn't about my identity, it's about her," Lu Feng said in a deep voice.
"We're checking your identity, what? You're running into the factory to stand up for your girlfriend?" General Manager Liao shouted sternly. "Does anyone know him? Go to the HR department and ask which department has a person named Lu Feng."
The setting sun cast long shadows, and the area was completely packed with people. Those on the outermost edge even jumped up to look inside. Security guards arrived, but they still couldn't squeeze in.
"Security is here, everyone please make way!"
Mr. Liao said to the security guard, "Identify this person. When did he sneak in?"
The security guards were also bewildered when they saw Lu Feng. They hadn't seen him in the past few days and had no recollection of him. Lu Feng always drove in and out, and while the security guards recognized the license plate, they had no idea who was in the car.
"I don't remember you!" the security guard shouted at Lu Feng, "Where are you from?"
"The problem isn't my identity, it's this problem!" Lu Feng patted Niu Jiayi on the shoulder and said, "We're getting off-topic, you know that?"
"I'm asking you which department you're from? If you're not from the factory, get the hell out of here."
Gao Zhiqiang and his supervisor were initially worried that Lu Feng was someone important, since most people wouldn't meddle in other people's business. Now it seems they were overthinking it.
Niu Jiayi hadn't expected things to escalate this much. She was already in this situation, and didn't want to drag him down with her. She tugged at Lu Feng's arm and whispered, "Thank you, but let it go. President Liao is here."
“That doesn’t count!” Lu Feng was somewhat dissatisfied with the company’s lower-level management. He sighed and said, “Weren’t you going to check my identity? Go and call your department’s general manager over.”
"Pretty cocky, General Manager? You think you're worthy?" Gao Zhiqiang sneered twice. "Get lost, or the security guards will come after you, understand?"
The security guards didn't want to waste any more time. The crowd was growing larger and larger. A few days ago, there was a fight in the dormitory, and they didn't do anything about it, so they were criticized in the comments. If they didn't disperse the crowd soon, they might be expelled.
Two people reached out and grabbed Lu Feng, preparing to drag him out. The deputy director of the human resources department passed by, saw so many people, and after overhearing that it seemed to be related to the human resources department, he reached out and pushed through the crowd, asking, "What's going on? Even Gao Zhiqiang and his cousin stood aside, forcing smiles, though their smiles were stiff, as the important figure they had encountered was beyond their usual circle of acquaintances.
Little did they know, the real dimensional reduction attack was just around the corner!
