Chapter 380 Arrogance

Jiafeng Electronics is now an outstanding private enterprise, and there aren't many private enterprises that can be targeted by foreign capital.

During this period, the entire industry was envious of Jiafeng Electronics, and everyone thought that Lu Feng must be laughing in his sleep.

At six o'clock in the evening, Lu Feng parked his car in the parking lot and walked towards the hotel entrance. He went up to the banquet hall on the ninth floor, and before he could even go to the lounge, he ran into Huang Youwei at the corner.

After some time apart, Huang Youwei was wearing a dark blue suit with a big smile on his face, looking as if he were celebrating his son's wedding today.

He saw Lu Feng smile, his face crinkling with wrinkles, and stepped forward, saying, "Mr. Lu, congratulations!"

"What are you congratulating me on?"

"You're asking a question you already know the answer to. Let me tell you, there are quite a few companies vying to acquire it this time, and a few more want to invest in a joint venture. I've been subtly trying to get some information from them these past few days, and they can get you a high price."

Huang Youwei didn't give Lu Feng a chance to speak, and patted Lu Feng on the shoulder, saying, "They're in the office area on the fifth floor. Their team is very professional, and they even have a financial company's advisory group. There are quite a few people. Go and make contact with them. I have a meeting to attend to."

Lu Feng hadn't originally planned to go; he came today to dissuade these people from their idea. But when he heard that there was a financial company advisory group from Hong Kong, he perked up.

The financing environment in mainland China is currently quite poor. Some companies rely on government assistance for financing in addition to taking out loans, resulting in a very limited range of channels and a lack of standardization in the financial sector.

Those so-called financial companies are actually loan sharks, or even companies that set traps to embezzle funds.

Hong Kong is currently the best place for financial companies. Lu Feng needs a huge amount of capital, so he needs this place even more. This includes setting up R&D companies overseas and expanding the company's business overseas. He needs to set up a local headquarters in Hong Kong.

On the fifth floor, teams from three companies had booked the entire floor. The three companies met several times, but the talks were not very pleasant, as each of them had their own pride.

I heard that the CEO of Jiafeng Electronics will be here today. All three parties believe that if they can't control these large foreign companies, controlling the CEO of Jiafeng Electronics would be a piece of cake.

When Lu Feng arrived at the fifth-floor reception room, he found no one there and no one paid him any attention. He asked two waiters, but they didn't seem to know anything about the team there.

"Sir, this floor is full of distinguished guests. We're just serving tea and water," the waiter said awkwardly.

“Okay!” Lu Feng nodded.

A man in his thirties strode in. You could tell at a glance he wasn't a local; his face and clothing style had a Hong Kong feel to it.

"Sir, who are you looking for?" the man asked, sizing up Lu Feng.

“I’m looking for people from the three companies that live here.”

"Who are you?"

"I am Lu Feng, the chairman of Jiafeng Electronics!"

The man looked at Lu Feng with some suspicion. If he hadn't heard Huang Youwei say before that the CEO of Jiafeng Electronics was quite young, he would have definitely kicked Lu Feng out.

"Go wait in the reception room, I'll let you know in a bit." The man pointed to the reception room next door.

Without waiting for Lu Feng's reply, the other party strode away. Lu Feng stood there, feeling somewhat annoyed. This was his territory, and it was as if he was being summoned.

"Sir, what would you like to drink?"

"Anything is fine!" After saying that, Lu Feng didn't go to the reception room, but instead stood at the door and started smoking.

After waiting for almost half an hour, the man returned and said to Lu Feng, "Come with me."

Where to?

The other person completely ignored them and just kept walking forward.

Lu Feng's anger was starting to build up. He took two quick steps forward and said in a deep voice, "Can't you hear me?"

"Shut up!" the man snapped in Cantonese.

Lu Feng understood what that sentence meant: shut up!

After circling the corridor twice, we arrived at the door of a conference room. A staff member pushed open the door, and there were already twenty or thirty people sitting inside. The man walked in and said, "Mr. Bao, the people have arrived."

After he finished speaking, he sat down in the very last seat.

Mr. Bao was a man in his sixties, dressed like a villain from an old Hong Kong movie, with slicked-back hair, a face that was neither round nor square, and wearing black-rimmed glasses. He looked Lu Feng up and down carefully, raised an eyebrow, and pointed to the chair opposite him, saying, "Mr. Lu, please sit down!"

Lu Feng pulled out a chair and sat down, saying, "I don't even know which company you are. You are the guests, but now I feel like I'm in Hong Kong."

Mr. Bao didn't take it seriously and said directly, "We are a special acquisition team set up by Philips at its Hong Kong headquarters. I believe you know better than I do what kind of presence Philips has in the electronics industry. We are a century-old company, founded in 1891, and have been involved in countless industries. You should feel honored to be able to join this big family."

"I feel honored even before I've spoken. Go ahead and say it," Lu Feng said, looking at him.

"This is our acquisition plan. Take a look. It's a full acquisition of all equity, including the company's intellectual property, ownership of subsidiaries, land, factory buildings, and products under or about to be developed. Here are the detailed legal provisions for the acquisition, excluding corporate debt!"

“Based on the valuations given by several financial companies, we are willing to pay a full 1 billion yuan to merge Jiafeng Electronics into Philips’ network. This is also an honor for you. No matter where you go in the future, you can say that the company you founded has caught our eye.”

Lu Feng sat there without a smile on his face. He knew that foreign companies had a crushing advantage over domestic companies in this era, but he still didn't expect them to show such arrogance without any mercy, even speaking to him in a condescending manner.
