After dinner, Jiang Xiaoyan stood up and said to Duoduo, "Hurry up and do your homework. After you're done, go back to your room and sleep. You have to go to school tomorrow."
Duoduo watched cartoons for a while and then went to do her homework. Lu Feng stood up to help clear the dishes and said, "You rest for a bit, I'll wash them!"
"After Duoduo falls asleep, you should wash yourself clean!" Jiang Xiaoyan whispered in Lu Feng's ear.
Lu Feng was taken aback. Looking at her rosy complexion, he chuckled and said, "I guarantee you'll be satisfied."
Jiang Xiaoyan didn't say anything, but went upstairs and picked up the phone in her bedroom to make a call.
The phone rang in Zhang Fengxia's office. She answered, "Who is this?"
“It’s me, Xiaoyan. Have you set off yet?” Jiang Xiaoyan asked.
Zhang Fengxia sat blankly in the chair, her mind a complete blank. Holding the phone in her hand, her throat was dry. She took a deep breath and said, "How about... I..."
Jiang Xiaoyan fell silent.
“Okay!” Zhang Fengxia agreed.
The night was exceptionally dark. Zhang Fengxia drove on her way, wondering how she had gotten to this point. If she were exposed, how would she face him in the future?
How did a woman who had liked him for years and silently stayed by his side win him over in this way?
Her mind was in turmoil; on one hand, she wanted it, and on the other hand, she was afraid. In the midst of this confusion, the car had already stopped at the entrance of the alley.
Duoduo was already asleep. Lu Feng took a shower and went upstairs. As the saying goes, couples who quarrel in bed make up in bed. There's no problem that can't be resolved between husband and wife. Jiang Xiaoyan's knot in her heart will be untied one day.
Jiang Xiaoyan wore a pair of beautiful women's slippers and a thin nightgown, with a ribbon tied around her waist, looking incredibly charming.
"So beautiful?" Lu Feng looked at her and smiled.
"I want something different," Jiang Xiaoyan whispered in Lu Feng's ear.
"You've been corrupted by her. She's always taking you out to do who-knows-what."
Jiang Xiaoyan didn't say much. She found some strips of cloth, blindfolded Lu Feng, and then tied them to his hands and feet.
Jiang Xiaoyan went downstairs and saw Zhang Fengxia already standing in the living room. She looked at her and said, "Thank you!"
"Sister Xiaoyan, this really isn't a solution. It will only push things out of control. There's no problem that can't be solved," Zhang Fengxia advised.
"Don't say anymore, go take a shower." Jiang Xiaoyan pulled her towards the bathroom. Things had already turned out this way, and she didn't want to turn back.
After washing up, Jiang Xiaoyan tiptoed upstairs. For Lu Feng, the night was exceptionally dark, and he felt a little uneasy. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but he had a feeling that something bad was going to happen, and that intuition lingered in his mind.
It was still a familiar feeling; I could feel her hand, her voice, her breath—everything was so familiar, yet mixed with a hint of unfamiliarity.
But he always felt something was off...
The mountains and rivers were beautiful, with towering peaks and babbling streams. A dragon rose from the plains, soaring straight to the sky. With a muffled groan of pain, Lu Feng felt as if an electric current had struck his mind. He exclaimed, "Who? It wasn't you!"
In an instant, the entire room became so quiet you could hear a pin drop; no one dared to even breathe. Lu Feng felt that things had spiraled out of his control and were hurtling down an unknown path.
He struggled to his feet, and suddenly the darkness before his eyes fell like a curtain from the night sky, revealing a scene of human absurdity.
This scene is like a piece of classical Western art; it challenges common sense and the nerves of the three people, who stand motionless like wooden figures.
Zhang Fengxia's mind went blank. When she came to her senses, she tried to smooth things over and said, "Surprise...surprise..."
Jiang Xiaoyan slumped to the side, her face ashen. She had failed; her last glimmer of hope was gone, and she had lost all face—the last shred of dignity she had left as a woman.
Ignoring the pain, Zhang Fengxia grabbed a towel from the side, wrapped it around herself, and sat down, saying, "I planned this. I like you. This kind of possession seems a bit despicable, but at least I don't have to suffer anymore. Unrequited love is the most painful thing in the world. That's all I wanted to say."
After she finished speaking, she got out of bed. As soon as her feet touched the ground, a sharp pain shot through her, and she collapsed onto the floor.
Jiang Xiaoyan hurriedly got out of bed to help her, but Zhang Fengxia gritted her teeth, stood up, and left the room.
"Fengxia!"
Jiang Xiaoyan chased after her.
