Chapter 680 I Don't Accept

Li Guangfa wasn't angry when he was scolded. He knew that his side wasn't monolithic either. Many companies were in contact with other trading agents, and some had even reached out to companies in Hong Kong.

Li Guangfa wanted to monopolize the profits, squeezing the manufacturers dry and giving even more to the middlemen in Hong Kong; otherwise, he wouldn't be able to maintain his dominant position.

He's made quite a few phone calls in the past few days, and everything that needed to be discussed has been settled. He has the right to be arrogant.

"Don't be so arrogant. Let me tell you, if you really anger me, I can't say much more, but if your Jiafeng Electronics manages to ship a single shipment overseas in the next three years, I'll change my surname to yours." Li Guangfa pointed at Lu Feng's face and scolded, "You have no right to be arrogant in front of me. Now is not the time for you to speak, and you have no right to speak!"

"I have no right to speak? Oh my god, who do you think you are? The King of Heaven? Don't even think about cutting back a single cent of the profit from that batch of goods, and you can't even ship a single ship? I'll sue you for monopoly, you believe me?" Lu Feng stopped and looked at him, cursing, "You idiot!"

"Try swearing again? You're giving me too much face? Don't you know your place?" Li Guangfa said, pushing her away.

"Stop hitting! Stop hitting!"

They had just come out of the conference hall, and the hotel corridor was crowded with people. Mr. Chen from Kangjia was closest to the two of them, so he went up first and stopped Lu Feng.

"Why are you stopping me? Taking sides?" Lu Feng turned his head, broke free from him, and shouted, "What kind of bullshit forum is this? After all that talk, it's still 90/10. What's your share of the profits?"

"What business is it of yours what percentage of my earnings?"

"Don't fight. These are all respectable people. The reporters haven't left yet."

"That's right, don't embarrass yourself."

The hallway became crowded. Lu Feng leaned against the wall, one hand gripping Li Guangfa's collar, while Li Guangfa choked Lu Feng's neck.

Those at the back couldn't get out, so they all started standing on tiptoe to watch the fight in front. General Manager Chen, Huang Hongsheng, and a few others were trying to break up the fight, while Vice Mayor Liu squeezed to the back.

With the final step imminent and the pretense of civility fading, Vice Mayor Liu grew anxious. He pushed through the crowd, rushed forward, and pulled the two apart, shouting, "Be civilized, damn it!!!"

Lu Feng and Li Guangfa parted ways, exchanged a glance, and Li Guangfa said to Lu Feng, "Go ahead and sue about that contract you signed back then. If you dare to sue, I dare to compensate you. Think about the consequences yourself."

“You owe me a single penny, you just wait!” Lu Feng said to him.

"Let's go, let's go!" Deputy Mayor Liu pushed the two of them, his face grim. "Don't block the stairwell, let's go!"

Lu Feng strode forward, and Feng Zhiyao squeezed through the crowd to catch up, asking in a low voice, "Brother Feng, why are they fighting?"

"It's not unusual for them to fight, is it? They haven't settled my accounts from before," Lu Feng said with a gloomy face.

“My dad said that these kinds of things are better discussed and we shouldn’t have a conflict. Since the other party has absolute resources, we can’t fight to the death. We should ask for as much as we can.” Feng Zhiyao said from the side, “Let the company take the lead in this process. The company that has absolute resources will definitely take the lion’s share.”

“But what if these temporary compromises become industry norms?” Lu Feng walked out of the building and stood in the lobby, saying to Feng Zhiyao, “For example, if you are an ordinary employee and one day the cleaning lady quits, and the manager asks you to clean the toilets for a few days, he will definitely not hire another cleaner.”

"There's no necessary connection between them, but we have no other way out right now!"

“He’s just trying to kill me. He’s bullying me because I have no other way out. That’s why he’s so arrogant. It’s like cleaning toilets. Once an unspoken rule is established, those who clean the toilets stay and those who don’t leave. What will happen in the future? Even if one day the company expands and hires more people, will you still resist?” Lu Feng stared at him and questioned him.

"I don't know..." Feng Zhiyao said, sounding embarrassed.

“You’re used to taking 90% of the profits, and you feel like you’re losing out if you take even 10%. Your competitors might be hostile to you, but when it comes to shared interests, we’re absolutely united. It’s like if one day consumers demanded that Jiafeng Electronics permanently reduce its profits by 10%, I wouldn’t accept that either. The current price reductions, or even subsidies, are just a prelude to an even bigger price increase later!” Lu Feng patted him on the shoulder and said, “Therefore, I will never accept his 90% cut!”

“But others are accepting it. I was sitting in the back and I heard it all. Many companies are talking about it privately, some are offering 20/80, some 30/70, some 90/10!” Feng Zhiyao said anxiously.

"Don't rush, let's eat first!" Lu Feng put his arm around Feng Zhiyao's shoulder and said, "Don't stray too far from me while we eat. If a fight breaks out, help me take him down."

Feng Zhiyao's face was filled with disbelief. Were they really going to fight?

"Just in case, there's a real chance that a fight won't break out." Lu Feng said as he walked towards the restaurant.

When Lu Feng entered the restaurant, it was already full of people, some of whom had even started toasting each other. Two men in their forties were standing near the entrance, smoking and muttering to themselves.

"Old Hao, where did you get your overseas channels? How dare you agree to those manufacturers' overseas exports?"

"Where the hell do I have any overseas channels? I've been making so many calls overseas lately that my lips are practically worn out. Do you know what kind of revenue sharing I negotiated with them?"

"Didn't President Li say at the last dinner that it's a 90/10 split? Anyone who dares to give more is ruining everyone's livelihood?"

"If it were a 90/10 split, they would have negotiated with Guangfa Trading. I gave up half a point, 1.5."

"If you don't have any overseas channels and you can't sell your products, won't people come to you?"
