Chapter 754 Wait for me to come back

"Kevin, what's wrong?" Lu Feng asked, puzzled.

Wei Yandan briefly explained the situation, and Lu Feng could tell that this guy was on the verge of a breakdown; this job was indeed very important to him.

"Let him answer the phone, I'll talk to him."

"President Lu wants you to answer the phone." Wei Yandan handed the phone to Kevin.

Kevin was seething with anger. He had been at the office since the afternoon and had been arguing with Lu Feng ever since. He took the phone and said in a dark tone, "Lu Feng, we don't have any grudges against each other, do we? You were the one who offered to pay for that camera back then, and now you're doing this kind of thing?"

"Don't get so worked up. It's late at night, and you're over fifty. What if you get too excited? Didn't you tell me you were going back to process your resignation? I only brought Du Guoying in because of you, and she's still in the vice president position." Lu Feng asked him, "I've been thinking about you these past few days. What happened? Why haven't I heard from you?"

"I'll just ask you one question: did you send my resignation email to the Berlin headquarters and also send them a videotape?" Kevin knew he was in the wrong, so he simply didn't mention the past.

“If you’re going to talk like that, I’ll only ask you one question: you promised me you’d resign, so why haven’t you told me anything lately?” Lu Feng questioned him.

“I already told you that my resignation process is very complicated, it takes time, and I need someone to take over my work. Besides, it’s the Chinese New Year period now.”

"But the result now is, it's not troublesome at all! How convenient! What? Does Germany celebrate the New Year too? What year is it now? The Year of the Donkey? You have no right to yell at me. Be sincere. You should learn from me. I have many admirable qualities, such as honesty." Lu Feng sighed and said, "Do you want me to give you a solution?"

"How do we solve this?"

"I estimate I'll be back the day after tomorrow. You can stay for a couple of days. Anyway, you're not working right now. It's almost the Lantern Festival, so take your camera out and take some pictures of folk culture or something. I'll definitely give you an answer when I get back." Lu Feng said into the phone, "There's one condition: don't cause trouble in the office, understand?"

"You said you'd provide a solution the day after tomorrow, I'm waiting for you!" Kevin's tone was full of anger, as if he wanted to start a fight with Lu Feng when he returned.

After hanging up the phone, Kevin went straight out the door. He was now waiting for Lu Feng; he couldn't stand not getting this off his chest.

He now even suspects that Du Guoying is in cahoots with Lu Feng. As for what they want to do, he doesn't know yet, but there is one direction to guess: they want to recruit him into Jiafeng Electronics.

The following morning, a signing ceremony was held to mark the official establishment of Jiafeng Electronics' largest factory in Tianjin. At 10:00 a.m., city leaders delivered speeches, expressing their earnest expectations that the introduction of Jiafeng Electronics would set an example for local private enterprises and play a leading role.

Once completed, the factory will be able to accommodate 100,000 people and plans to introduce state-of-the-art production lines to reach international manufacturing standards. Lu Feng made some polite remarks to reporters before taking his bow amidst enthusiastic applause.

After having lunch, Lu Feng should have been able to return in the afternoon, but unfortunately there were no afternoon flights. He went back to the hotel, took a nap, and woke up at 3 p.m.

With nothing to do, Lu Feng decided to take a stroll around Tianjin. He took a taxi to the city center, where there were still quite a few people. The city center was filled with tall buildings and shopping centers, and there was a fountain in the square, creating a peaceful atmosphere.

Below the shopping mall are rows of shops with huge signs on their doors, selling all sorts of things, such as fried dough twists and Goubuli steamed buns. There are also quite a few shops selling electronic products around the area.

Lu Feng even saw the signs for Weipuda and Jinbao at the entrance of the supply and marketing building. Next door, a small shop had a sign that read "Repair and Recycle All Kinds of Second-hand Mobile Phones, Pagers, Tape Players, and More."

As Lu Feng stepped inside to take a look, a man suddenly blocked his way. The man was about 1.9 meters tall, with a burly build, and wearing a black leather coat. His face looked somewhat naive. He grinned at Lu Feng, opened his leather coat, and asked, "Want a pager?"

His leather overcoat had buttons sewn onto the lining, and all the pagers were clipped to them; there were at a glance about twenty or thirty of them.

"Don't worry, it's definitely not a counterfeit or stolen product. It's cheap, you can get a Hanxian for 2,900 yuan. In stores, it'll cost 3,000 yuan or more." The big man tried to sell it to Lu Feng.

Lu Feng stared at the pagers, reached out and picked one up. He found a label on its back that read "waveguide".
