"I'm offering you a job. You'll be in charge of the overseas market. Your salary will be up to $500,000 a year, plus stock options. But there's a condition: you have to succeed in the overseas market this year and meet my targets. If you do, you'll get the full $400,000 bonus plus stock options. If you don't, you'll be out of a job with only $100,000." Lu Feng looked at him and said, "How about it?"
"So you're saying you're only offering me a $100,000 annual salary, but want to hire a global strategic market expansion manager with a $500,000 annual salary?" Kevin refused. He would never agree to that price. He said in a deep voice, "I have too many companies to choose from. I can find a suitable job at BMW, Mercedes-Benz, or Toyota."

“Compensation? Why should I compensate you?” Kevin shouted.
