Many people at the scene looked over, wondering why an adult and a child were arguing.
"Why are you acting all high and mighty with a child? You're a grown man, and you're bullying a kid? Let me tell you, you better watch your step, or his dad will come and beat you to a pulp," the woman next to her warned.
"Exactly, why get angry with a child?"
"It's normal for kids to be noisy and disruptive."
The people picking up their children were talking all at once.
When Duoduo saw everyone talking about her father, she got anxious and ran over to say, "He started it by talking about me. He wanted to compare himself to me. I said my father is rich, and he couldn't beat me, so he said his father is in the United States and has a gun."
"Alright, alright, it's no big deal. Are there any poor people studying here?"
"That's right, little kids these days are so talkative, they're quite good at it!"
Seeing the various voices rising around him, Lu Feng glanced at them and said, "What's it to you?"
"What do you mean 'what's it to us'? You're an adult, bullying a child, is that interesting? Besides, his father is in the US, didn't you hear? He's not an ordinary person!" A man shouted at Lu Feng, "You're just looking for trouble."
"Let me tell you, his dad just got back a couple of days ago. If you anger him, you'll be in big trouble." The woman said to the child, "Go tell your dad. He's a big family with a lot of influence. Do you think he'll be bullied?"
"My dad's buying cigarettes on that street up ahead, he'll be here in a bit." The kid looked up at Lu Feng and said, "I'm not afraid of him, my dad has a gun, hehehe."
Lu Feng didn't want to argue with a child, so he reached out and patted Duo Duo's head, saying, "Alright, let's go back. Dad will make you something delicious."
Duoduo looked a little aggrieved, but she still obediently nodded and agreed.
Just as Lu Feng was about to leave with Duo Duo, the woman who knew the little guy objected, shouting at Lu Feng, "You think you can just leave after bullying people? Who said you could leave? This is outrageous!"
Jiang Xiaoyan didn't want to get involved, but now she turned around, frowned, and took two steps forward, saying, "Who's bullying people? If something happens to the child, can't the parents even ask a few questions? Who are you?"
"Alright, alright!" Lu Feng saw that Jiang Xiaoyan was a little annoyed and quickly pulled her aside.
"What's so good about it? You're really pushing your luck. Last time the school organized a spring outing, I couldn't go, so you gave me the meals, right? To save a little money, you put the food in your pocket, and the two kids ate one box of rice. Was that something you did, Li Li's mother?" Jiang Xiaoyan questioned.
"Hey! Hey! How can you make false accusations? Look everyone, she's slandering me!" The woman immediately became agitated and raised her voice to argue, "I went there as a parent, just to help the children tidy up. As for the money, that's the school's business. Let me tell you, Jiang Xiaoyan, don't think that just because you own a shabby factory and have a little money, you can be arrogant. Who do you think you are?"
"Who am I? I'm still better than you. I have a factory, I have money. All you do all day is scramble for things from the classroom. It's normal for a child to get a bump or bruise. Can't I even ask about it? You're so arrogant!" Jiang Xiaoyan said coldly.
"So what if I don't like it? You think you're so great just because you have a few bucks?" The woman was even more defiant, taking two steps forward as if she was about to start a big argument.
"That's enough!" Zhang Fengxia stepped forward and said, "Does this make you seem reasonable?"
Lu Feng wanted to say something, but he couldn't get a word in edgewise. He silently watched Jiang Xiaoyan standing there arguing, somewhat stunned. Was this the Jiang Xiaoyan he knew?
Is she the same girl who was once cornered and yelled at at the door over a few cents, and could only squat there and cry?
The argument escalated, and it went beyond just the children's issue. Old, trivial matters from the school were brought up, attracting a growing crowd of onlookers who offered their comments from time to time.
Lu Feng also got the gist of it. This child was not in the same class as Duo Duo, and he was a troublemaker in class, often getting called in by other parents.
His family is quite wealthy. I heard his father is doing well in the US and is about to get his green card. Many people at school don't dare to offend him. After all, being able to make it in the US and get a green card is definitely not something an ordinary person can do in China's current environment. He must either be very rich or have strong connections.
"You're just arguing with me. You'll know what regret is when her father comes. Let me tell you, don't think you're anything special just because you have money. She can put you in jail with just one phone call!" the woman said viciously.
Jiang Xiaoyan didn't understand the law either, and for a moment she was stunned and didn't know what to say.
"Let me tell you, my dad is amazing! He's really powerful in the US!" the little guy shouted at Lu Feng.
"I want to see what kind of person is so powerful!" Lu Feng also got angry and said in a deep voice, "An American is causing trouble here."
A man's voice came from the street corner ahead. The boy recognized him immediately and shouted, "Dad, someone is bullying me!"
"What?"
The man responded and quickly walked over.
The crowd stirred, eager to see who had returned from the United States. With the current craze for traveling abroad, those who could see the world were definitely the cream of the crop.
The man approached, his expression showing some anger. How dare they bully his son? They were simply courting death. He had only been back for a few days, but Old Cui had already become the pride of the family, and everyone who met him treated him with great respect.
Not to mention family members, you have to be polite to your neighbors as well.
"Who? Who bullied my son? You son of a bitch!" Old Cui cursed in English with great style.
