Chapter 886 Pattaya

The tall guy had already reached for the gun. If a fight broke out here, the trouble it caused would be beyond what these people could handle. They could be as arrogant as they wanted behind the scenes, but they still had to give some people face.

He glanced at the police officer in charge; both of them looked rather helpless, realizing they had completely miscalculated tonight.

"Director Zhalun, why make things so awkward for everyone? Just for a small company like Jiafeng Electronics?" the tall man asked Zhalun.

"I'm not doing this for the company. This is the area I'm responsible for, and I have to be responsible to the end. Besides, President Lu is my beloved. Even if it's a battle to seize the territory today, I'm willing to do it!" Zhalun said, tearing open his clothes to reveal the bulletproof vest underneath.

Upon seeing this, the tall men immediately took their hands out of their pockets without saying a word!

"You six, hands up, get down on the ground!" someone shouted.

"Notify the on-site investigation department to come, and also bring the forensic experts!"

A group of people rushed forward and handcuffed the six tall men. The police team left in a sorry state. A few minutes later, two medical vehicles arrived. After examining the bodies, they confirmed that this was not the primary crime scene and that the people had been dead for more than six hours.

At three o'clock in the evening, Zhalun looked at Lu Feng and said, "Mr. Lu, you will also come with us to give a statement. The others do not need to go."

"Me alone?" Lu Feng was stunned for a moment, a little scared.

He might not have been afraid just now, but now that he hears someone wants to go with him, he feels uneasy.

"Yes, let's go!"

Lu Feng was led into the car. He turned around and glanced at Kevin, hoping he would come along. Kevin just looked and didn't say anything. As the car drove away, Kevin sighed and said, "Young people should always try a different kind of life."

Inside the police station, Lu Feng was not taken to the interrogation room, but to a duty room. Half an hour later, Zhalun brought two people in. Lu Feng's first action was to check his clothes to make himself look dignified and not flaunt his position.

“Please tell me what you know,” Zhalun asked, sitting down.

Lu Feng explained everything he knew without much trouble.

“It’s almost certain to be a frame-up, Mr. Lu. These people have no grudge against you. They’re probably doing this on someone’s orders. I just received a call demanding their release, but I can detain them until dawn.” Zhalun glanced at his wristwatch and said, “Two more hours.”

"So?" Lu Feng's eyes lit up as he asked, "Can I go ask them?"

"I don't care about all that. I'm going to sleep soon and I won't get involved in any of this. You're free now." Zhalun said, standing up and walking out.

"Thank you!" Lu Feng said hurriedly, "If you need any financial assistance, I can help you."

Zhalun stopped in his tracks, turned around to look at him, smiled, and said, "No need!"

He didn't want money, but Lu Feng always felt that one day these favors would have to be repaid in another way.

"Come with me!" said the two police officers standing up.

Lu Feng followed them into the interrogation room, where a tall man was sitting. Lu Feng looked at him and asked, "Who told you to do this?"

He just stared at Lu Feng without saying a word.

"Go to hell, I'm asking you a question!" A man standing next to him placed a rubber pad on his chest and punched him.

The tall man screamed in pain, but remained silent.

The man was brutally beaten, but thanks to the rubber mat protecting him, he didn't suffer any external injuries. Of course, he didn't say a word.

There was no time to lose, so Lu Feng hurriedly went to other rooms and asked five people in a row, but they all remained silent. They knew that as long as they held on, they could get out. If they let slip even the slightest hint, they would be executed ten times over for what they had done.

With only one left, Lu Feng's heart sank. The others were in the shadows while he was in the open. If things continued like this, he would only be played. He had no choice but to go home.

In the last room sat a man in his thirties, rather fat, with a slouching head. Lu Feng didn't have anyone beat him up, but stared at him for a minute before saying, "They've already confessed!"

"Heh!" He chuckled, seemingly disdainful of such tricks.

"Why am I standing here talking to you? Putting everything else aside, just the guns you have are enough to take you into custody. I believe you also know something about me." Lu Feng sat down and looked at him, saying, "Guess how much money I have?"

"Why should I guess? What does your eight trillion have to do with me?" He was the first to speak.

“Of course it’s related, that’s why I’m standing here!” Lu Feng lit a cigarette and looked at him, saying, “I have plenty of money. What can money buy? Let me tell you, it can buy anything. Not to mention food, clothing, and daily necessities, it can buy love! Power! All of that.”

He glanced at Lu Feng and said disdainfully, "You think you're rich just because you say so?"

"If you don't believe me, you should at least believe the newspapers from other countries, right?" Lu Feng stood up and asked the person next to him, "Can you find newspapers like the Wall Street Journal and the London Financial Times from a while ago?"

"No...!"

"Just ask around and fax over a few copies."

"Even if you prove you have money and have bribed those in power, so what?" He laughed and said, "I'll be leaving at daybreak. I can tie you up today. Your money will still be your money, won't it?"

"You're so stubborn! Do you really think I can't handle you?" Lu Feng was getting annoyed.

"Mr. Lu, fighting is useless. We've already fought them." The person next to Lu Feng whispered, "These kinds of people aren't afraid at all. They know all about the methods here."
