Chapter 89: Almost a third of the initial investment has been recovered.

"7.2 jin!"

As he read out the numbers, he wrote them down on a sheet.

Then they weighed the large yellow croakers one by one, and the three weighed 2.1 jin, 2.6 jin and 0.8 jin respectively.

They wrote everything down on the form, then tore off a copy and handed it to Feng Ye.

"Bring the ribbonfish over here to be weighed."

What's the price of ribbonfish?

Feng Ye and A Can lifted a basket and poured it into the basket on the scale.

Most of the baskets nowadays are bamboo baskets made by fishermen themselves. There are no uniform standards, and the weights vary, which just makes things a bit more troublesome.

"9 mao." Feng Jiafa fiddled with the scale for a while. "58 jin 4 liang, 4 jin of skin, totaling 54 jin 4 liang."

Although the price was lower than Feng Ye had expected, he figured it was probably the market price, so he didn't haggle.

The baskets of ribbonfish were carried up to be weighed, and each basket weighed about fifty or sixty pounds.

A total of 56 baskets of ribbonfish were collected, weighing 3084 jin and 3 liang.

Instead of calculating the price immediately, they weighed the mackerel next.

The mackerel, weighing less than a meter in length, weighed 212 jin (approximately 141 catties) and was priced at 2.3 yuan per jin.

Five of them, weighing a total of 336 jin (approximately 168 catties), were priced slightly higher at 2.8 yuan each.

The blue-ringed sea snakes are weighed together with the snakeskin bag. With so many people at the purchasing point, they dare not release them out, for fear of accidents.

After weighing, the three burlap sacks weighed a total of one jin (500g) of leather, leaving a little over 32 jin (111kg) of leather.

The price is very attractive; the purchase price reached 8 yuan.

By the time all the fish had been weighed, it was completely dark.

Apart from keeping one black sea bream for each of the three, they sold everything they could from today's catch, including various other fish that were very cheap.

There are too many to dry ourselves, mainly because there's no space to do so, so we have no choice but to sell them.

In the end, excluding the blue grouper and the large yellow croaker, the total sales amounted to NT$5,879.60.

Feng Jiafa rounded it down to 5880 yuan.

The Rising Sun has recovered almost a third of its initial investment.

"I don't have that much money right now. I'll bring the receipts over tomorrow to get the money."

Feng Jiafa tore off the photocopy and handed it to Feng Ye.

Upon hearing the total number, the onlookers erupted in excitement, all looking at the three with envy and resentment.
