Chapter 191 Coming to the Shop to Cause Trouble

The next day, Song Anmin lay in his dormitory. He had worked all day and didn't want to move at all.

But then, the fifth brother came looking for him.

Song Anmin went downstairs cursing and was dragged to the night market by Lao Wu.

Fortunately, they all came today.

Less than an hour after I arrived, someone came to cause trouble.

A young man with an arm tattoo came in and kicked a chair, saying that he had eaten fried rice at Xu Songyuan's place yesterday and had diarrhea since then, which lasted until this morning. He was so weak that he wanted Xu Songyuan to pay for his medical expenses.

Xu Songyuan, holding a spatula, sized up the newcomers and then instructed Song Anmin and Song Jianmin to protect the other guests who were still eating.

The night market was crowded, and many people looked over.

Xu Songyuan said slowly, "You didn't come to buy anything yesterday. My food is all freshly bought on the same day, so there's no way there could be a problem."

The young man glared angrily, "So you mean I lied to you?! Why would I need to lie to you? You're just a lousy street vendor, what's so great about you? Just admit you used spoiled food, I didn't come here to cause trouble, I just want you to pay for my medical expenses."

Xu Songyuan said calmly, "Many of the people who come here to eat are repeat customers. No one has ever said there was a problem. You say you got diarrhea after eating fried rice, then show me the evidence. Prove that you bought it from me, and also show me the doctor's report."

"You can't just say whatever you want."

Song Anmin squinted at the scene before him.

Isn't this exactly the same as when I went to my aunt's shop to cause trouble before?

Song Anmin stepped forward and said, "Who paid you to come here?! If there's a problem, we'll call the police. Don't disturb the other customers' meals. Besides, it's a crackdown period now. If you dare to cause trouble, you can expect to be in jail!"

The young man's face flushed red, and he was about to strike, shouting, "Who are you?!"

Song Anmin was taller and much stronger than Xiao Qing.

"Who do you care who I am? Everyone else is fine, but you're the only one with problems. Who sent you? I was here yesterday. If you bought fried rice here, I'd eat shit upside down!"

Laughter erupted from the crowd as soon as Song Anmin said this.

Someone spoke up for them.

"Hey, you're talking nonsense. I've been eating here for five or six days and haven't gotten sick. You're just trying to scam me."

"That's right, Master Xu's dishes are all fresh. He's just deliberately trying to scam people out of their money. Let's all disperse."

"Tsk tsk tsk, just call the police and arrest them!"

The young man's face turned ashen with anger. "I'm not lying!"

Xu Songyuan came out from behind the stall and pulled Song Anmin away.

"Whether you're lying or not, produce evidence. If you can't, you're a liar. Get out!"

Song Anmin looked him up and down. "Oh my, you wouldn't happen to be someone sent by Xu Xue, would you?"

The young man's expression changed.

“If it’s not Xu Xue, then it must be Xu Peng.” Song Anmin looked at Xu Songyuan. “Uncle, let’s go call the police. If we find out who’s behind this, they might even give us some compensation.”

Upon hearing this, the young man immediately became anxious.

At this moment, Song Jianmin also stepped forward.

The third and fifth brothers were both tall, much taller than the young men.

Seeing that things were going badly, the young man ran away quickly. He was impossible to catch. Song Anmin tried to chase after him, but the kid disappeared like an eel in an instant.

Song Anmin scoffed, "Uncle, it must be Xu Xue and her group who did this."

Song Jianmin's eyes widened. "Xu Zhongtang's daughter?"

Song Anmin nodded, then said to Xu Songyuan, "Uncle, if it happens again, call the police."

Xu Songyuan: "What these thugs are afraid of is making a big fuss. At worst, they'll all end up in jail. Let's see who can outmaneuver whom."

The night market was bustling again, and the customers were all talking to Xu Songyuan.

If they come to cause trouble again, they'll help them.

I finally found a good fried rice place, I can't let it be ruined.

Song Jianmin couldn't help but whisper, "Uncle, were our ancestors imperial chefs? Do you have any family recipes passed down through generations?"

Xu Songyuan laughed in exasperation and slapped Song Jianmin on the head.

"You're dreaming."

At this moment, a young woman stepped forward and called out to Song Anmin.

"Hey, I'm talking to you. My name is Zhao Zhao. Can we get to know each other?"

Song Anmin turned around and looked at Zhao Zhao. He had spoken with the two brothers yesterday. This girl had quite big eyes, and Song Anmin remembered her.

"What's wrong?"

Zhao Zhao blushed slightly and was about to speak.

Song Anmin coughed, severing all impossible thoughts.

"I'm sorry, I'm seriously ill and feeling a bit unwell. You'd better stay away from me."

Zhao Zhao was stunned; this was the first time in her life she had been rejected.

"you……"

Song Anmin smiled politely; he couldn't afford to ruin his uncle's reputation.

Song Anmin looked in the direction Zhao Zhao had come from and saw two girls sitting there.

He added, "There's too much smoke and fumes here, you should go back."

Zhao Zhao's expression was not good.

Song Jianmin watched the whole process, winking and making faces at his third brother.

"Get the hell out of here."

Xu Songyuan smiled, shook his head, and remained silent.

...

Not far away, the young man ran off to find Xu Xue.

Xu Xue was standing far away and could only vaguely see the figures.

After listening to the young man's words, Xu Xue couldn't help but curse him as a good-for-nothing.

The young man's expression changed. "How dare you speak to me like that?"

Xu Peng quickly tugged at Xu Xue, "Don't mind her, that's just how my sister talks."

The young man objected, saying, "I'm only helping you out of our past friendship. Those two men aren't easy to fool. The cook even said he'd call the police. I won't come here again. Find someone else."

The young man used to hang out with Xu Peng, but after he couldn't make it in Luo'an Town, he went to the city and did petty theft.

Xu Peng looked embarrassed, said a few more kind words, and the young man waved his hand and left.

Xu Xue's face looked extremely pale.

Xu Peng: "Sis, since we know Xu Songyuan has a stall here, we'll have another chance next time."

Xu Xue took a deep breath, glared fiercely in the direction of the night market, and said impatiently, "Alright, let's go back."

They closed up shop at nine o'clock in the evening.

Xu Songyuan told the two brothers not to come again.

“You have to work during the day and come to help at night, it must be too tiring.” Xu Songyuan stuffed twenty yuan into each of the two brothers’ pockets.

Song Anmin refused, saying, "Uncle! I don't want this money!"

Song Jianmin also took one out, saying, "I don't want it either."

Xu Songyuan laughed and said, "I don't want money. What do you want? Do you want me to put in a good word for you with your mother?"

Song Anmin chuckled.

Xu Songyuan's smile vanished instantly.

"Third and fifth brothers, I can't change what my eldest sister has decided."

Fifth brother: "Uncle, you only say a few good words for us now and then. You don't know how cold it is to sleep in the dormitory at night in the dead of winter. The blankets are thin, and we can't even eat properly."

Xu Songyuan's expression changed slightly, "Really?"

"More real than gold!"

"Then go buy some mattresses. If you get hungry, come eat here. Do you think I'd let you go hungry?"

Third and fifth brothers: "..."
