Chapter 414 Cooking Porridge

After taking her medicine, Song Rongrong went back to sleep.

I slept until 2 p.m.

When Song Rongrong woke up, she felt relaxed all over. Her head was no longer dizzy or her headache was gone. She opened the door and went out. A delicious aroma wafted from the kitchen.

Song Rongrong's appetite was greatly stimulated, and she asked in a hoarse voice like that of a smoker who had been smoking for twenty years, "What kind of soup are you making?"

Ying Zhengqing: "Awake? How are you feeling?"

Song Rongrong rubbed her still slightly stuffy nose. "I'm fine now. Thank you so much."

Ying Zhengqing twitched his lips, glanced at her, and said nothing.

Song Rongrong: "What's with that expression?"

Ying Zhengqing: "I dare not act rashly, lest someone treat me like I don't exist again."

Song Rong snorted, "Stop being sarcastic. You were the one who did something wrong first."

Ying Zhengqing pursed his lips. "Then I apologize."

Song Rongrong was stunned. She didn't expect Ying Zhengqing to slide to his knees so quickly. She glanced at Ying Zhengqing, and the unnatural look on his face didn't seem fake.

Song Rongrong: "You..."

Ying Zhengqing: "Stop talking, let's eat."

Ying Zhengqing ladled soup from the pot, brought it to the table, and prepared bowls and chopsticks.

Song Rongrong took her seat and heard Ying Zhengqing speak.

"Then let's just let bygones be bygones."

Song Rongrong hummed in agreement, "Then we're just friends."

Ying Zhengqing replied expressionlessly, "Yes, just a regular friend."

Song Rongrong's unexpected illness became a breakthrough for the two to break the ice. Ying Zhengqing said that he would be busy for the next year or two, and his time in Taipei would be very fragmented. He might not be able to return to Binjiang Waterfront. Even if Song Rongrong wanted to see him, they might not be able to meet.

After that meal, Song Rongrong didn't see Ying Zhengqing again for more than a month.

The promotional video that Song Rongrong and Gao Han were in charge of was also nearing completion. She wasn't as busy as before, so she took some time to have a meal with Zhang Shu and mentioned her previous illness.

Zhang Shu's eyes widened in disbelief. "Holy crap, Rongrong, why didn't you tell me before?!"

Song Rongrong pointed to the top of her head, "Can you see how little hair I have? Do you know how exhausted I was before? I didn't have time to tell you. Besides, I didn't run into Ying Zhengqing again after that, so I completely forgot about it."

Zhang Shu glanced at Song Rongrong's still thick hair.

She shook her head and clicked her tongue, "Rongrong, something's up with you."

Song Rongrong: "No."

Zhang Shu scoffed, "You still want to hide it from me? Do you think I don't know you? If it were someone else, would you let them into the house?"

Song Rongrong frowned and explained, "I had a fever at the time, and I couldn't kick him out. Besides, he even took me to the hospital. Sigh..."

At this point, Song Rongrong herself couldn't continue.

Zhang Shu blinked, her expression knowing. "Rongrong, why don't you give it a try? It's just dating, you can enjoy the view."

Song Rongrong: "Stop, don't bring this up."
