Chapter 270 Orphanage

Chapter 270 Orphanage

Hearing about ten years ago, Louis's face turned pale instantly, his eyes full of panic.

Ye Lin had discovered Irene's affairs. How did he know? It had clearly been ten years, so how could it still be brought up?

No matter how panicked he was, Louis couldn't admit this now.

Once he admits it, he's done.

Louis pretended not to understand Ye Lin's words and asked in confusion, "What do you mean by 'your mother'? Angel, what do you mean? Irene died from a postoperative infection. Can you blame me for that?"

Ye Lin was too lazy to watch Louis' acting. He had no patience at all today. He sneered and nodded meaningfully to Louis.

"You really don't want to drink the wine you're drinking."

He turned his head and winked at Oakley.

Ye Lin stood up and left, and before leaving, he told Oakley: "Ask where my little cousin is first."

Oakley: "You can trust me to do the job. Let's just focus on this profession."

The two men bumped fists, and Ye Lin left without looking back.

Seeing Ye Lin about to leave the basement,

Louis looked at the group of desperate men in the room who were pointing knives and irons at him with malicious eyes.

He suddenly understood what Ye Lin meant by drinking a penalty drink.

Louis's face was distorted with panic. He shouted in disbelief, "No! Angel, you can't do this to me! Come back! Come back!"

The iron door slammed shut with a bang.

Louis' shouting was blocked behind the door and stopped abruptly.

Ye Lin pinched his tired brows and followed Oakley's younger brother to the private room upstairs to eat.

I don't know if Louis is too soft-hearted or Oakley is too ruthless.

He had barely eaten half his sandwich when Oakley came slamming the door open, cursing. There was still some blood on his hands. "That bastard is such a wimp! He peed his pants before I even touched him. What a jinx! He's choking me to death."

"Have you found out?" Ye Lin put down his fork and asked.

"Of course. He wasn't honest at first. I made him really angry a few times and he told me everything I asked."

Oakley casually threw away the paper towel he used to wipe his hands, pulled out a stool and prepared to eat a few bites. By the way, he glanced at what Ye Lin was eating.

"No, after a busy day, you only eat a sandwich? Or half a sandwich? Did you start cultivating immortality after returning to Hong Kong?"

Ye Lin took a sip of tea and said lightly: "No appetite."

"Any news about the child?"

"Yes, yes!" Oakley was even more excited than Ye Lin, the person involved, after hearing about the big news from a wealthy family tonight.

He ran over from the opposite side, dragging a stool, and asked mysteriously, "Do you know where that child is now?"

Ye Lin glanced at him and asked, "I already know why am I asking you?"

Oakley couldn't hold back, so he kept it a secret for a while, and then, like spilling the beans, he told Louis all the information he had gotten.

"Your real cousin and your fake cousin are classmates! Tell me if it's exciting or not!"

Ye Lin suddenly looked up at Oakley, who signaled him not to get excited, as there was something else to come.

"And do you know why he wanted to kill Vivian?"

"After Louis knew that the two of them were classmates, he wanted to get your brother out of school. Your brother is a top student who can go to a prestigious school without spending any money."

"Union School is the best public school in our area. If Louis were to just pick a crappy school to get him out, this promising young man would be wasted."

"Vivian still has some conscience. She doesn't agree to transfer your brother to a lower-class school. Louis couldn't persuade your aunt to transfer Daniel back to a private school. If this real and fake young master keeps getting along, something bad will happen sooner or later."

"Plus, Louis feels that Vivian is becoming more and more soft-hearted. She might turn against us any day."

"Look, Louis is planning to kill Vivian first, and then hide your brother in a corner."

Ye Lin is not in the mood to delve into the past now. He just wants to know where his child is.

He pressed on, "What's the child's name? Where does he live?"

"His name is..." Oakley forgot the words when they came to his mouth.

After patting his head, he remembered, "Oh yes, his name is Xavier, and he lives in an orphanage, the one on Kenan Street."

As soon as he finished speaking, the people beside him had already flashed to the door of the box, and disappeared outside after leaving only a sentence to continue locking Louis up.

"Hey! Where are you going so late at night?"

The only response to Oakley was the sound of a door closing.

"cut."

Being ignored again, Oakley curled his lips and turned back to eating his pizza.

A silver LaFerrari was speeding down the deserted street. The loud roar of the sports car at top speed swept across the urban-rural junction.

Wherever it passed, the sensor lights in the corridors on both sides of the road flashed and lit up one after another, as if discussing this silver monster that had strayed into the civilian area.

"Kainan Road, Kenan Road,"

Ye Lin muttered the address to himself. He was not familiar with this area. He only remembered passing by this street when he came to United Public School to pick up Daniel last time.

Following his memory, he turned the steering wheel to the right. The sign for Kenan Road was illuminated by the car lights. The silver sports car accelerated again and plunged into the alley.

At the entrance of the welfare home on Kainan Road,

"You really don't need me to take you upstairs? You have so many things." Daniel leaned on the car window and looked worriedly at Xavier who was carrying a lot of bags.

"No need. It's just a few steps away. It's already very late. You should go home quickly." Xavier waved to the little curly-haired boy lying on the car window to reassure him.

"Okay, I'm leaving now." Daniel closed the car window reluctantly and let Simon take him home.

After finally sending this little ancestor away, Xavier stood there and sighed, feeling like he had been taking care of a child all night.

He tried to push the shopping bag in his hand onto his arm, intending to climb back to his room on the third floor in one go.

This energy had only taken two steps when it was interrupted by a loud roar.

At the end of the street, a silver car was approaching the orphanage at the speed of light, so fast that the shape of the car could not be seen at all.

Xavier suspected that the man was drunk, otherwise how could a normal person drive a car like a flash of lightning? Just as he was holding the bag and wanted to hide from the drunk driver by the roadside,

"squeak!!"

A brake sound that could pierce the eardrums rang in his ears.
