Xu Yanfeng had little self-control around her. They could get along fine without her provoking him, but the moment she took the initiative, he was completely defeated. Remembering that she was still recovering from a cold, Xu Yanfeng held her neck and kissed her for a moment before stopping. His thick, dark eyebrows furrowed tightly, his breathing was heavy, and his lips were tightly pursed. It was obvious that he was enduring something.
Xia Xi knew very well that he didn't have a cold. His lips brushed against the tip of his red and hot ear: "Don't you want to?"
Xu Yanfeng had big palms and he held both of her hands with one hand to tell her to stop making trouble.
Xia Xi's hands were restrained by him, but her mouth was still free. She mumbled "I'm fine" and kissed him again, lingering from the corner of his lips to his jaw and then to his neck. His eyes darkened and darkened, and he finally lost to her.
In the ups and downs, Xia Xi seemed to have drunk wine, forgetting everything and only remembering the joy.
She no longer suffered from insomnia like she had the previous few nights. Her body was exhausted to the extreme, and she fell asleep as soon as she closed her eyes, nestled in his arms. Even in her sleep, her eyebrows were not fully relaxed, and seemed to be frowning.
Xu Yanfeng was still awake. In the dim light of the table lamp, he lowered his gaze to her face, his fingertips gently touching the center of her brow, smoothing out the slightest wrinkle. He brushed her soft, sweaty hair behind her ear, revealing her beautiful features. His fingers brushed across her thin eyelids, noticing a small, natural tear still lingering at the corner of her eye, which he wiped away. His fingers trailed down, rubbing across her cheek, finally resting on her rosy lips.
The affection in his eyes was even stronger than when they were making love just now. He lowered his head slightly and sucked on her lips.
Xu Yanfeng quietly lifted the quilt and went to the bathroom. He took a quick shower and wrung out a wet towel to clean her. Xia Xi was sleeping soundly and didn't wake up even when he touched her.
In the middle of the night, Xia Xi was awakened by the buzzing of a cell phone.
Like Su Jinru, she has recently become extremely sensitive to the ringing of mobile phones. She becomes nervous at the slightest movement, so she wakes up immediately when the phone vibrates, without any time to recover.
Xia Xi reached out for her phone and pressed the volume button on the side. The vibration stopped, but the call was not disconnected. A string of numbers without any notes appeared on the lit screen, but she had an impression of it.
Xia Xi turned her head and saw Xu Yanfeng sleeping peacefully in the dim light. Then she remembered that she was in Xu Yanfeng's apartment, not in his bedroom at home or in the school dormitory.
Her throat was dry, she swallowed, put on some clothes, and went to the living room with her cell phone.
"Hello, is this Officer Lu?" Xia Xi called this number when he provided the police with clues about Xia Chenggang.
"It's me." Officer Lu's voice sounded particularly cold and solemn in the middle of the night.
The air was chilly, and Xia Xi shuddered. She hugged the hand holding the phone and heard Officer Lu say calmly, "Xia Chenggang hit someone while fleeing. It was a hit-and-run incident. The person he hit is dead. If he contacts you, please let me know immediately."
