Are you waiting for me?
Wei Chuxing looked at Yin Zhu with great interest. Upon hearing this, Mu Yunsheng subconsciously flipped his bob hair.
Yin Zhu pretended not to see the two's actions, simply shifting her gaze away from him and giving Mu Yunsheng a sweet smile: "Don't flatter yourself, of course I'm waiting for a pretty girl. I met her at the entrance of the amusement park."
Who doesn't love to hear flattery?
How did you know we'd come to ride the roller coaster?
Mu Yunsheng became alert.
Yin Zhu continued speaking in a carefree manner, with no logical connection between her words: "Because roller coasters are fun! Wouldn't it be a waste to go to an amusement park if you didn't ride roller coasters and haunted houses?"
“Indeed, roller coasters are basically the signature feature of amusement parks.” Wei Chuxing agreed with this point.
Mu Yunsheng looked at Yin Zhu with a complicated expression, so he simply stopped the topic and generously pointed to the back: "Then let the three of us sit together for a while. Wei Chuxing said that each carriage can only seat a maximum of four people, so it's safer to sit together."
Neither Yin Zhu nor Wei Chuxing objected.
Perhaps because the queue was long, or perhaps because Wei Chuxing, as the supervisor, was too lazy to wait in line for too long, many tourists dropped out of the line for various strange reasons such as "it's too hot," "I'm tired of standing," "I want to play other rides," and "I have a fear of heights." As a result, the roller coaster, which was supposed to take an hour to arrive, was only waited for 5 minutes before it was Yin Zhu's turn and others' turn.
"That's great, it's the VIP lane," Yin Zhu exclaimed sincerely.
"What?" Mu Yunsheng didn't react.
Yin Zhu didn't bother to explain. She quickly ran to the conveyor belt, sat in a seat on the side of the roller coaster, and excitedly called out to the two of them, "Come on, let's sit here!"
Wei Chuxing said gently to Mu Yunsheng, "Let's go over there too."
Because she was worried about the danger, Mu Yunsheng sat between the two people, with Wei Chuxing and Yin Zhu sitting on her left and right sides, giving her a great sense of security.
As visitors took their seats, the announcement began explaining the precautions: "Dear passengers, you are currently on the [Ghost Train] ride. We are about to take you on a thrilling journey. Our final destination is another ride at Daydream Amusement Park, the [Horror House]. Please double-check that your physical condition is suitable for riding a roller coaster. Visitors with heart disease, high blood pressure, pregnancy, or other serious illnesses should not ride the roller coaster."
So far, the announcements have been normal for a roller coaster. But after this segment ends, the next segment will start to terrify Mu Yunsheng:
"During your roller coaster ride, please make sure you do not close your eyes for more than 2 seconds, otherwise we cannot guarantee your safety."
"If you hear any strange noises while riding a roller coaster, do not try to find the source of the noise, or you will be responsible for the consequences."
"Please remain calm during your roller coaster ride. Do not panic or move around. Be sure to use your seatbelt correctly and secure your seat to ensure your safety. If you notice any malfunction in the safety doors or seatbelts, please hold on to your seat to avoid falling."
"I hope you have a happy life."
The broadcast ended, and the conveyor belt began to operate, about to send everyone on this train down a deadly path.
Mu Yunsheng wanted to close her eyes, but due to the rules of the roller coaster, she dared not close them for even a minute. She could only look at Wei Chuxing for help, and only after receiving his reassuring gaze did she feel a little calmer.
Yin Zhu didn't look around at all, so naturally she was unaware of their little scheme.
Because Yin Zhu was using words to dispel her fear.
"We're going uphill! We're going uphill!"
"It was my first time riding a roller coaster, and it was quite thrilling!"
"Ah, we're going downhill! I can't look anymore!" Yin Zhu's voice stopped abruptly, because the weightlessness of the roller coaster plunging downwards intensified her fear, and she subconsciously lost the ability to speak.
Some people scream when they are scared, while a small percentage of people lose their voice when they are scared.
Unfortunately, Yin Zhu is the latter.
After the roller coaster plunged and made a sharp turn, Yin Zhu, whose back was aching from the sudden turn, finally regained her ability to speak and started chattering loudly again:
"This roller coaster is no good, the turns are too sharp, I feel like my back is going to get bruised!"
"What did you say--"
"The wind is too strong, I can't hear you—"
"We're going uphill again."
"Gurgle gurgle gurgle..." The last one is the sound of wind blowing through the mouth. Ordinary people can achieve a similar effect at home by facing a vertical electric fan.
Mu Yunsheng: ...
During Yin Zhu's brief silence, Mu Yunsheng vaguely heard a strange voice calling her name, which made her hair stand on end.
However, as Yin Zhu shouted and yelled in a chaotic manner, it became difficult for Mu Yunsheng to concentrate on thinking about the sound she had just heard. Her fear also dissipated considerably. If it weren't for the rules prohibiting her from looking at the source of the sound, and the fact that she was strapped to her seat, Mu Yunsheng would have initially wanted Yin Zhu to shut up.
In a way, Mu Yunsheng should thank Yin Zhu for distracting her.
Perhaps because the first 30 seconds went too smoothly, after another plunge of the roller coaster, almost everyone heard a "click".
Yin Zhu looked down and realized that the seatbelt had broken at some point.
Mu Yunsheng naturally saw this scene as well, and his face turned deathly pale instantly, as if he had been given the kind of filter that shows someone who has been dead for three days in a TV drama. His fingers gripped the seat tightly to keep it in place.
