Chapter 345 Cherry Blossom Divine Art

The other rules can be summarized as follows: Do not turn back, hide from monsters, invite women you meet, enter houses you encounter, and eat food you find.

With such clearly written rules, why are there so many monsters dying?

As for why the cat wouldn't let Yin Zhu speak, it's quite simple: it's too cold outside, and talking too much would make it easy to inhale too much cold air.

The cat had probably experienced something similar before, managing to escape alive but failing to save her friend. Therefore, she was filled with apprehension towards the Snow Woman. As a result, she memorized these rules perfectly, and this time she even deliberately kept her back from Yin Zhu, fearing she would repeat the tragedy.

Filled with gratitude for the cat, Yin Zhu lay in her fur, not making any sudden movements.

After being carried on the cat's back for a while, we heard a mournful howl coming from afar. The sound was quite pitiful and was broken by the wind and snow.

The next second, Yin Zhu felt the cat move violently again, digging a hole in the snow, then hiding inside. Finally, it used its tail to sweep some snow onto the cloak, and the big white cat quickly blended into the snow.

The piercing scream grew closer and closer, coming from behind them. After stomping on Yin Zhu, it ran away.

Ouch, that was a pretty heavy kick.

Fortunately, the cloak distributed the force, preventing Yin Zhu from crying out in pain.

Yin Zhu even suspected it was intentional.

Once the sound had faded into the distance, the cat emerged from the snow, habitually shook its fur, and continued walking forward.

As a giant cat demon, each of its steps was equivalent to several steps of Yin Zhu's short legs. So, because the cat was shaking its fur and Yin Zhu lost her grip, she fell into the snow. Before she could say anything, she saw the cat disappear into the snowstorm.

Yin Zhu: "...Achoo!"

Yin Zhu crossed her arms and rubbed her arms. She felt that the environment was quite cold, but it didn't seem as scary as Shiranui had described.

Having lost the powerful and experienced cat, Yin Zhu had no choice but to slowly walk forward on her own. She walked for an unknown amount of time in the wind and snow, but encountered no people, monsters, or houses. The vast, desolate land was only filled with swirling pear blossoms and endless white snow.

It was as if she had been forgotten by everyone.

Yin Zhu became increasingly numb as she walked, her body gradually turning into a mechanical movement. If she hadn't eaten enough for breakfast, she doubted she would have fainted in the snow.

So tired.

Is there a place for me to rest?

I am bored.

Could you please play some white-clad female ghost or some strange ghostly screams to cheer me up?

Did the instance forget about me? Has there been no unexpected event? Yin Zhu yawned, and her icy left hand touched her still-warm lips, making her shiver.

Finally, she could vaguely see something in the distance.

One step, two steps, three steps... As the object got closer and closer, Yin Zhu could see clearly what it was. It wasn't a house, nor was it a white-clad female ghost, but an ice pillar containing a frozen monster.

The transparent icicles are like giant display jars, with the monster inside frozen in that moment, its face filled with terror.

There is more than just this one icicle.

Yin Zhu saw more and more ice pillars, and also saw all sorts of monsters frozen in place. They were all frozen when they turned to run away, as if some dangerous monster had been in the direction Yin Zhu was heading, scaring them away in panic.

Clearly, they did not succeed in escaping.

They were left here forever, accompanying the Snow Woman, beginning a deep sleep from which she would never awaken again.

Yin Zhu stared silently at their corpses.

It's just too cold. My mouth has been stuck shut for so long, and opening it would only mean swallowing a bellyful of cold air, so there's no need for that.

Suddenly, Yin Zhu felt something was off.

On the icicle, besides reflecting its own shadow, there was also a small white dot.

The small white dot grew larger and larger, and Yin Zhu gradually made it clearer. It seemed to be a woman with white hair and dressed in white, her face also incredibly pale and bloodless. Suppressing the urge to turn around and look at her, Yin Zhu's reason kept her focused on the woman walking towards her.

Or perhaps she was a female ghost.

If I'm not mistaken, she is probably the mistress of this region—the Snow Woman.

As the woman, white from head to toe, drew closer, Yin Zhu spoke up: "Oh, beautiful sister, would you like to walk together? After walking for so long, I've finally seen something alive."

4. If you see a woman in white in the snow, invite her to travel with you. Do not refuse her any questions she may ask.

The woman nodded and walked to Yin Zhu's side.

Perhaps because Yin Zhu was too short, she bent down and asked, "Little sister, why did you come to a place like this all by yourself? It's dangerous here."

Yin Zhu replied with a smile, "I'm here to see Sister Xue Nu."

"You mean Lady Yuki-onna..." Unexpectedly, the woman in white used a respectful term for Yuki-onna: "She is still asleep, I'm afraid you will never see her." After a pause, the woman in white raised her index finger and put it to her lips, which were blue from the cold: "You mustn't tell anyone this secret."

Yin Zhu nodded: "Mm!"

By the way, wouldn't her statement be considered "raising a question"?

Yin Zhu intuitively sensed something was wrong. A glint of gold flashed in her eyes, and she instantly made a conclusion: This sentence was in a period tone, a declarative sentence, not a question tone, so it did not belong to "the question raised by the woman in white".

Seemingly sensing something, the woman in white gave Yin Zhu a cryptic look.

"By the way, miss, how should I address you?" Yin Zhu offered her carefully chosen nickname, "My name is Bamboo Cutter Boy, I'm a little monster who came out of bamboo! I love eating meat!"
